A minor disclaimer: this episode of the ScoutCast we recorded prior to the earth-shattering revelation that Manchester City could enjoy two fixtures in Gameweek 27. This therefore renders the full 70 minutes as totally irrelevant, with the content and advice offered within both useless and ill-informed. However, as this hasn’t stopped folk listening in the past, we’re putting it out there anyway.

Before the intervention of the fixture computer, I was joined by Jonty, Andy and Az as, oblivious to what was to come, we stepped blindly into the breach to wrestle another round of community questions.

That ensured that the impending blanks dominated the discussion, gifting Jonty the opportunity to flaunt his enviable Gameweek 28 line-up, while discussing the merits of Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham. Somewhat inevitably, pastry based goods also make an appearance.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience, pastry and all, via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Start one...

    A.Carroll (wat)
    Chambers (cry)
    A.Smith (wba)

Carroll and Chambers are both doubts but can't rule out Carroll being involved off the bench and Chambers starting regardless. Smith fully fit and guaranteed to start but Bournemouth defence is a shambles.

My only concern is if Carroll doesn't start and then comes on it's only 1 point.

I'm thinking I'm going to start Chambers with Carroll 1st sub and Smith 2nd sub.

I just can't see Carroll starting given Billic's comments and him coming on late for 1 point would be really irritating.

Chances of Ville Ronka remaining hit free if City get a dgw? I don't see how anyone can manoeuvre their way through the next 3 gws without thinking that the rewards of a -4 or two outweigh the risk

    c) Ranocchia

    1. Lawrø

      Not c)
Maguire has a far greater attacking potential but may not be nailed long term
Robertson is more nailed, slightly cheaper but only has an assist threat realistically

Depends on what you need. I like Maguire as a 5th defender...

I seem to recall some team looking at that prospect in GW37 about two seasons ago. I think it might have been arsenal . They were already booked in for a double that week and a rail strike or something would have meant they would have had to fit a third in. in the end it didnt happen, whatever the scenario was it didnt happen.

We have the same front line. Lukaku for me. Then back for 28.

I have enough in the bank this week for Sanchez, Ibra, and ACarroll to Kane, Costa, and Siggy (-4) and that could be a GW26 explosion but doesn't leave me set up well for 28... considering it though.

      CORRECTION, Mane, not Siggy.

SANCHEZ, IBRA, CARROLL -> MANE, KANE, COSTA (-4)

3 non playing GW26 players for 3 playing.... (but GW28 would be a nightmare).

You know there might be a City DGW in 27 yeah?

Of course. It would be an easy straight swap from Costa or Kane to Aguero (c) for free. It's GW28 I am worried about.

Yeah fair point. Definitely go for Mane. Maybe Lukaku instead of Kane?

I'd rather keep Ibra for Bournemouth

Presently on De Roon as 5th defender, usually first on bench. Post Chelsea game would Tom Carroll of Swansea or James Morrison from this week be a better bet for next few weeks? Or someone else worth bringing in?

TCarroll great 5th mid for GW28 and going forward.

Carroll is a good one. But surely you have more pressing transfers to make!

With the possibility of a triple gw then surely keeping the TC in my pocket for that is more sensible than playing it in 27..

I think ive convinced myself to shelve the plan...

      TGW = rotation central.

put it on the goalkeeper or a centre back, they don't get rotated, and depending on the team, some players are nailed on regardless.

Very few players would have the 3 games including the keeper depending on if the team has something to play for.

Not sure what teams have the possibility for a TGW and what week it would be, but about 15/20 teams in league have something to play for currently... so good odds...

Is anyone else hoping that Huddersfield beat City to hold off their double for now? As someone with no city and no stoke, while being well prepared for the blanks (on track for 10 + Holgate) it's causing a lot of stress!

Had planned for Stanislas and Amat to Snodgrass and Robertson (having already done Sanchez to Mane) for this and next weeks transfers (all free) but is it worth looking at the likes of Pieters? and ripping the team up for Aguero and Sterling?

It's actually better if hudds win for city assets. Means 2 good fixtures with more recovery time ie less rotation threat and no need to instantly dell for more hits

That's a very good point, didn't think of it like that, looks like Kun will be coming in!
