After two of our differential picks, Marko Arnautovic and Fernando Llorente, struck gold last week, we’re hoping for more of the same ahead of the disrupted
Gameweek 28.

An in-form Hammer takes star billing ahead of a trip to struggling Bournemouth, while under the radar midfield options from Hull City and Liverpool have also caught our attention.

Manuel Lanzini

While big things were expected of West Ham United’s Robert Snodgrass following his arrival from Hull City in the January transfer window, it’s Manuel Lanzini who has shone brightest since the departure of Dimitri Payet.

The Argentine has been directly involved in 50 percent of the Hammers’ goals since Payet left to return to Marseille, totaling three goals and a trio of assists over the last seven Gameweeks.

Lanzini has impressively fired in 12 goal attempts over his last four appearances, bettered only by Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho among midfielders.

So ahead of the afternoon’s trip to Bournemouth, Lanzini, who costs just 6.4 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), looks a great differential option.

The Cherries have failed to keep a clean sheet since their last victory, away to Swansea City in Gameweek 19, and have conceded more goals (21) than any other team since.

Slaven Bilic’s men also face further appealing match-ups at home to Leicester City and Swansea City, along with an away trip to Hull, over the next five Gameweeks.

So Lanzini, who is currently sitting in just 1.6% of FPL rosters, looks an intriguing option, not just for the disrupted Gameweek 28, but also for the upcoming period.

Kamil Grosicki

With an assist in each of his last two Gameweek appearances, Hull City midfielder Kamil Grosicki appears to be gaining momentum ahead of this afternoon’s vital home clash against Swansea City.

The Poland international has started all four matches since joining the Tigers from French side Rennes in January, and looks set to be a pivotal figure as Hull battle to avoid relegation.

Since making his debut in Gameweek 24, Grosicki has impressively produced more shots on goal (nine), created more chances (six) and supplied more crosses (34) than any team-mate over the subsequent four matches.

Available at just 5.5 in FPL then, Grosicki could provide Fantasy managers with solid value, bearing in mind that the Tigers also face further favourable home match-ups against West Ham, Middlesbrough and Watford over the next seven Gameweeks.

Today’s clash looks particularly promising for Grosicki, given that Swansea will be without regular right-back Kyle Naughton, who misses out with a hamstring injury.

So Grosicki, who’s played on the left wing in his last three appearances, may gain more joy against the veteran Angel Rangel, who’s expected to deputise for Naughton.

The Swans, meanwhile, have struggled on the road this season, managing just one clean sheet. They have also conceded more big chances (37) than any other side in away matches this term.

With an ownership of just 0.2% in FPL, Grosicki has the potential to emerge as a key differential not only for today, but for the rest of the run-in.

Georginio Wijnaldum

While Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana have all enjoyed spells this season as the leading option from the Liverpool midfield, recently it’s been Georginio Wijnaldum who has been forcing his way into the conversation.

Impressively, the Dutchman has produced two goals, an assist and five FPL bonus points in his last four appearances.

Bearing in mind that the Reds host Burnley at Anfield tomorrow, it’s Wijnaldum’s home form, like last season – where he scored all 11 of his Premier League goals for Newcastle United at St James’ Park – that is once again set to prove crucial to his appeal.

Wijnaldum, who sets us back 7.5 in FPL, has delivered attacking returns in each of his last five home matches, registering three goals and two assists, averaging 8.2 ppg.

Burnley’s record on their travels merely heightens Wijnaldum’s appeal. Away from home, the Clarets have mustered a single clean sheet and conceded more shots inside the penalty area (157) than any other side.

With further home fixtures over the next four Gameweeks against Everton and Bournemouth, Wijnaldum could prove to be a handy differential beyond this weekend, then, with Liverpool’s schedule during the final months of the season also generally very favourable.

So for those looking to make up lost ground in mini-leagues, a punt on the 1.4%-owned Wijnaldum could pay off handsomely.

Pretty sure I am going to have 4 or 5 more decent players ( Llorente, Antonio, Mane/Coutinho, Coleman) this weekend than my ML leader, who will probably captain Lukaku.

Best just to match him and hope my differentials do the job or all out with Mane (80 pts behind)

    A) Lukaku
    B) Mane

    Already taken a -12 but....

If hits really are -2 this week and Im doing Aguero to Kane next week anyway. Should I not just do Aguero to Carroll this week aa a punt?

The other -12 was for players I'll keep a bit longer term but this one is a punt as I'll get rid next week

      Why so many hits?

You need to get a CS, Assist or Goal for one of them to be worthwhile and they will be hard to come by this week given the quality of the teams playing

Coutinho, Lukaku, Coleman and King were the -12. All likely to atay a bit longer term versus Carroll

It's tough, because you're essentially saying that you're willing to take a 2 point return from him returning a goal, and -2 from a blank (assuming no yellow cards). Not sure the reward offsets the risk

I'm in exactly the same position with Kun, Kane and Carroll and have also made 4 transfers so I have 10 players. I have all 4 of your players and I'm also tempted with Carroll but I think I'm going to stick in case Aguero returns to form and Kane gets injured. There is a good justification to do what you say though. The other responses seem split as well so it'd down to you!

I quite like all the justification for taking hits this week as it's a -2! I don't disagree with that part of it if you have a wildcard to clean the mess up on the other side. A lot of people are going to burn points on transfers this week and then need to take full price hits on the other side! The more -8 -12 I see the better!

Its not that hits are literally -2, they are still -4... it's that they are effectively -2 assuming you are transferring a player who doesn't have a game and hence would score 0 into one who does as the standard minimum score for a player is 2. Obvs they can score less than that but thats then just unlucky.

However it also depends on your long term plan for this player as if he messes up your squad e could cost you more in the long run getting rid of him again.

    Jakupovic Heaton
Coleman / McAuley (Walker / Alonso / Love)
Mane Firmino Siggy (Ali / Sterling)
    Llorente Costa Lukaku(C)

    Which keeper would you play?
If Firmino plays I currently have 8 playing, would you take a hit to bring anyone else in?

What a set of fixtures ...

    My starters this week:

    Foster

    Williams Evans (Amat)

    Siggy Coutinho Lallana Lanzini (Maloney)

    Lukaku

So 8 def starters, 2 with potential minutes.

    1FT 3.5m
is it worth spending when 2fts might be useful for next week and the full whack of fixtures? My ML rival only has 5 or 6 starters.

Armband to Lukaku, Couts or Siggy?

Chances of grabban being recalled from reading today and netting a hottie for Bournemouth, thinking of the triple captain chip

    Jaku
    Coleman Evans
    J. King Mane(VC) Siggy Antonio
    Lukaku(C)

No game: Heaton Aguero Kane Walker Alonso Pieters Capoue

Decent looking. Not having Llorente may hurt you though

Haha!! Never thought I'd hear that sentence! 🙂 2 tough away games, hull are very tight now, and swanseas attacking team stats are poor so I'm not too worried!

I would do Capoue > Lanzini/Fraser if possible

Yeah tempting! But -8 is a lot to make up! A lot of quiet tight games and 4 players blank and your only breaking even!

This weeks biggest differential must be to start on zero points.
