Our first membersโ article of the week takes a look back at the four fixtures that comprised a somewhat reduced Gameweek 28.
Bournemouthโs hat-trick hero is placed under the microscope as his transfer bandwagon picks up pace. We also cast an eye over Liverpoolโs latest source of midfield returns and check up on a Swansea defender whose eye for goal continues to reap the rewards.

A. Kane to Costa for -4
or
B. Kane + Lanzini to Gabbiadini + Sanchez for -8
or
C. Getting a spurs mid? Son for a -4 and alli/eriksen for -8

Anyone still fancy Defoe to do well? Not heard of many considering him recently.
Considering, but his form isn't the best at the moment. Fixtures look great, though.
I'm looking at him and Deeney to replace Kun till Kane is back. Allows me to got Alli and Sanchez for Coutinho and Antonio.
With those fixtures he will no doubt score a few. The question is would Gabbiadini score more for less Cash?
Plus the extra fixture
He might, but Sunderland are just a poor attacking team.
It's one of those moves i think interests me at this side of the season, it looks good but everyone will be put off investing in Sunderland assets, good differential.
Bottomed.
What do you think of the look of this? Thinking of wildcarding to get it? Second link is the team as it is now. Thanks in advance.

Gonna do Coutinho -> Sanchez, would you do anything else?
Not this week looks good
So you're keeping Baines?
Yeah small injury, I think he'll play if not Brunt OOP against Arsenal
So you're keeping Brunt?
I have both of them too, feel like at least one needs to go, just not sure which..
Getting siggy with it?
Makes sense.
On WC and Playing about could get this squad and rotate Gabbiadini and Deeney. What are thoughts?
Pickford Jakupovic
Alonso Walker Jones Mawson Yoshida
Sanchez Hazard Mane Alli Siggy
Lukaku Gabbiadini Deeney
A bit of a benching headache every week though.
Bench headach. Though you have considered the doubles.
Perhaps get Costa cheap double mid. Over hazard deeney? Prob gives you cash to get ibra or Kane soon too.
For Coutinho owners.
Imo Pros of keeping slightly outweighs that of Selling (50/50 decision though. could go either way). Agree ?
Pro's of keeping
- Great record against city
- Liverpool best record against top teams
- City performance slightly dips after european nights
- Could be fresher with no european games
- Getting lots of shots of late
- Firmino back will surely help
Pros of selling
- City have tightened up with 4cs in last 5
- Doubling up on Mane and Coutinho isnt wise especially in the expense of a spurs mid who has great fixtures
- Coutinho awfully off form (1 goal in 7 since injury return)
- Long International break to southamerica. maybe jet lagged after return. chance of a rest
Pros of selling look stronger imo
I'm holding both for the game against City. Selling Coutinho after that for Sanchez.
I have Mane and Cout and no FT left, have considered Cout to Sanchez for 4 point hit this week but have concluded not worth it, with Firmino back and full week of prep maybe Liverpool ready to over run City again.
Yeah. both have good records against City as well.
Coutinho has 5 goals and 1 assist in 6 matches vs City. Mane has 3 goals and 1 assist in 5 matches vs City.
I think it all comes down to whether or not you're taking a hit to get him out. If it's for free I wouldn't mind getting either Alli, Eriksen or Sanchez. I just wouldn't do it for a hit.
This I'll probably do it next week
Am I only one who doesn't understand that dgw spreadsheet? I wish they would just hurry up and announce the dates ๐
Would make planning a lot easier certainly.
Nope i looked at it the other day for 10 seconds and eyes glazed over. I need an abbacus for the ticker!
Casual Alert #FFSSpoonfeeding ๐
Just kidding.Agree. hard to get around all those possibilities and scenarios
I am colour blind so even harder for me
Though not sure what colours do to help
Looked at it, learnt nowt.
where is it, I'd like to have a butchers?
thanks AT
Tell me wrong but i think Negredo could be a good pick.Boro must get results and i think he is the key.Any thoughts?
I would like to say yes, but they just don't score enough goals. Better options around the same price point.
Boro nil says it all.
Who do you think is more important to get this week:
A) A Spurs mid (probably Alli)
B) Sanchez
Sanchez
I got Alli but have a gut feeling I should have got Son
A
Both
Probably B. West Brom have allowed 6 goals in 3 games
Sanchez
Thanks all. My plan was to get both, but Kane's injury put a spanner in the works. I reckon I'll go for Sanchez and assess which Spurs mid looks the best bet.
Both uncertain, how will Spurs be without Kane maybe a 1-0 and what is Sanchez attitude towards Arsenal, inclined to wait and see on both but if had to do would go for Alli
Sanchez if can afford. Spurs weren't very potent when Kane was out earlier in the season. I recall a series of draws. In particular eriksn and alli were quiet
Thanks for the input Zotter, and to Doggenham.
Having just seen Coutinho's stats against City, I might just keep. 10m itb so money no object.
On my wildcard. Have Yoshida as a 4th defender.
Best 5th defender?! Got 4.5 to spend taking in consideration future dgws
Get Stephens instead of Yosh and then you have enough for Stones.
Stones has horrendous fixtures though
Stephens isn't nailed.
Britos maybe

1FT and 0.5 itb. What to do?
A. Antonio, Zaha -> Spurs mid, T. Carroll (-4)

C. Coutinho -> Spurs mid (free)
Also, since Holebas is dropping tonight, should consider selling him for someone?

Could we survive without Spurs attack or Sanchez in gw 29 and 30?
Ofcourse.
Of course you can if the players you chose instead of them work out
Not only might you survive you might also thrive
Sanchez. Yes.
Not sure about Spurs
Yes I think Soton will do ok and then Burn a is tough for Spurs, Sanchez ? where will he play and what is his attitude, happy to wait and watch.
Yes
Yes. It's not like worrying about not having Kane where you know a lot will captain him. I doubt many would (C) a Spurs mid. Sanchez a good differential (C) this week but Lu(k)aku is the best option on paper and most teams have him anyway.
Just about to have a burger in a bun for my dinner
What would you top with?
(A) blue cheese and bacon
(B) cheddar, onion and relish
(C) something else
All of the above
Clearly the obvious choice is A combo of Cheddar,Onion and Bacon.
Fair comment. I sometimes overlook the obvious. Thanks.
C) Lancashire cheese melted, with red onion, served on a bed of potatoes, finely cut and fried until golden brown resting gently not on a plate but on rustic piece of wood, preferably oak.
Wow. You have a lost vocation as a food blogger timbo
Rate My Team suggesting Brunt/Snod/Llorente --> Valencia/Alli/Costa will pay for itself after 2 weeks even if a 12 point hit. Shall I do all 3 for 8 point hit this week? (Then bring in Gabbi for Carroll next week?)
Llorente will probably play this week, I'd wait for the pressers and then make an informed decision.
Never advise a -12 though
would be -8. RMT thinks Llorente --> Costa -4 is good this week even if he's fit
I'm not so sure about Costa, Stoke have been somewhat resilient of late.
cool man, thanks
Robles
Mawson, Billy Jones, Baines
Sigurdson, Sane, Sterling, Firmino
Lukaku, Defoe (C), Aguero (VC)
Bench: Grant, Fraser, Maguire, Yoshida
.
G2G or anything worth a hit?
Good to go... Maybe Fraser over Firmino
Thanks, I was considering Sanchez or Son for Firmino. Decent punt or should I just play Fraser?
No way. Play Firmino. Pool will score. At least one
Wouldn't be lovely if Poch said he was playing Alli up front.
There's a small chance im hoping for that as well!
I have been waiting for this day, don't get us excited.
Even if he doen's say so, I think that's how he'll be using Alli.
Alli himself will want to show he can be what TOT need now.
Need some advice after having sold Kane ๐ Currently riding rank 25k with this team:
Heaton
Alonso, Coleman, Brunt
Firmino, Mane, Sigurdsson, King
Lukaku, Costa, Gabbiadini
(Pickford, Amat, Holgate, de Roon)
0FT, 6.8m ITB (!)
This week:
A) Firmino > Alexis (-4)
B) Firmino > Eriksen/Alli (-4)
C) Firmino, Mane > Alexis, Eriksen (-8)
D) Get rid of Brunt.
D for me. Im playing firmino and mane too
Brunt > Valencia / Walker
Sort out Firmino later
D
- Who for my 5th mid to replace tom carroll? Up to 9.9m to spend...
I have -
Sigurdsson/ Alli/ Mané/ Coutinho
Or swap our Coutinho for Sanchez?
Or Don't do Kane to Gabbiadini and get a more expensive striker?
Thanks
C for S
A)Play Pieters
B)Play Yoshida
C)Play Holgate( Not gonna play anyway probably)
D)AOA with T.Caroll
A
A
I'm playing Pieters myself
Play Pieters, Stoke are pretty solid at home. He might even get an assist or something.
Anyone keeping the faith in Brunt or looking for alternatives?
Time to go. Fixtures awful and Wba look bored !
I've already bid adieu to him, served me pretty well but it's time for him to leave our squads, especially with options like Mawson now available.
I thought earlier on this season that Brunt looked like a season keeper but now i don't look upon him like that anymore and am looking at the alternatives
Who do we think will score most out of these?
A) Aguero Liv H
B) Alexis Wba A
C) King Swa H
D) Siggy Bou A
Struggling with captaincy ML rival will very predictably go with Lukaku
Thoughts? He currently owns none of them
Alexis
I'm currently toying with King v Alexis
Alexis frightens me but king has fixture and form
Aguerooooโ hatty incoming!!!! ๐
i feel that, but if he gets a hat trick uncaptained im not worried as i own him regardless but if I captain him and he blanks ill be like why?
There's a risk with any player that you captain. Aguero is in great form right now, has Pep's trust, faces Mignolet. I don't see why we shouldn't give him the armband. Plus, lot of people won't captain him, so his haul would get you those big green arrows ๐
B but I'd go Lukaku this week anyway, I'm not making the same mistake again
Sounds good, tbh last time around I got Aguero in during Christmas, he absolutely destroyed my FPL season. I'm somewhat back on track but I might still captain him, people like me just don't learn ๐
Heaton
Alonso Walker Coleman
Siggy Mane Cout King Antonio
Lukaku Llorente
Kane Brunt Amat
Used trf already if Llorente fit would you take a hit to do Cout to Sanchez ?
Best differential pick this week?
A) deeney
B) Defoe
C) son
Son out of those, Defoe is not even a differential, he could be a differential captain for the week though.
I assumed he was, don't see him in many teams and no doubt he was removed by active players during the dgw
The best pick out of these 3 is surely Defoe, was just pointing out he's highly owned. Go for him if you don't him, he's surely due a goal(s).
can secret option D josh king come into play, but of your list got to be defoe after maybe son
He can if u like, I've already got him thankfully! I'm toying with Defoe out of the options.
son is somewhat an uncertainty in starting 11 defoe will deffo start and on penalties
Damn. Am 0.1 short of going Coutinho Lukaku to Sanchez Gabbi next week. Can't see price swings Helping either
Blessing in disguise
Why do you want to sell Lukaku? He is in great form, scored even against Spurs, don't see why he can't score against that rubbish Liverpool defence and clown Mignolet? ๐
