A trio of Josh Kings saved the Gameweek for the ScoutCast regulars, steering Jonty, Andy and myself to respectability, despite a scattering of ill-fated transfer hits. Meanwhile, AZ drops in with his own unique solution to the curtailed Gameweek 28, as he deals a controversial early Wildcard to help prepare for the choppy waters.

The Wildcard is a key focus of this week’s episode, as we extend our recent Hot Topic to the ScoutCast airwaves, arguing the optimum time to activate the most precious of chips.

Elsewhere, we spare a moment to weigh up the “essential” status of the aforementioned Cherries midfielder, consider the recent unrest surrounding Sanchez and Lukaku and discuss the fall-out from Kane’s twanged ankle.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link or the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Worry about it later. Alli or sanchez this gw. If it wasn't involving de roon c would kind of appeal

A prevents the Ali differential for this week.

It allows you to see how spurs line up without Kane and see if sanchez is back on the wing/if Theo is a regular starter.

De Roon is surely a non starter now? Carrol (SWA) is a much better option for me.

An Irish man walks into a pub. The bartender asks him, "what'll you have?"

The man says, "Give me three pints of Guinness please."

So the bartender brings him three pints and the man proceeds to alternately sip one, then the other, then the third until they're gone. He then orders three more.

The bartender says, "Sir, I know you like them cold. You don't have to order three at a time. I can keep an eye on it and when you get low I'll bring you a fresh cold one."

The man says, "You don't understand. I have two brothers, one in Australia and one in the States. We made a vow to each other that every Saturday night we'd still drink together. So right now, my brothers have three Guinness Stouts too, and we're drinking together.

The bartender thought that was a wonderful tradition.

Every week the man came in and ordered three beers. Then one week he came in and ordered only two. He drank them and then ordered two more.

The bartender said to him, "I know what your tradition is, and I'd just like to say that I'm sorry that one of your brothers died."

The man said, "Oh, me brothers are fine----I just quit drinking."

          😆

A pint of Guinness is traditionally drunk in three gulps, leaving three froth rings in the class.

Or at least that's what I've be told, and therefore do 😀

What a dilemma! I'm playing Barnes, but which keeper do I play?

    A) Pickford, and spread the risk
    B) Go all in with Burnley and play Heaton

Really tempted by B, as Burnley have played much better away from home (and have scored in all their recent away games).

The Palace game apart, Sunderland have been SHOCKING defensively.

Home advantage, Burnley not great Away. I'm looking at as separate decision to owning Barnes. That's irrelevant as to which keeper is most likely to score more.

What would you rather do at this point in the season, take a hit (Kane > Gabbiadini) or lose 0.2m in TV tonight?

    Currently TV is 105.7m

    1. RMA
      • 10 Years

If I hold and take the TV loss then I would do the transfer tomorrow for "free" before any additional price rices.

      • 13 Years

Definitely lose the 0.2m unless you'd buy Gabby in after the break anyway I guess... 0.2m in itself is nothing...

      1. RMA
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 3 months ago

Well yeah, that's the plan. Either this week for -4 or next week but 0.2m poorer. So a pure problem of TV vs points...

        1. My Name Is Prince
          • 13 Years
          9 years, 3 months ago

Who would you have playing then if you just left Kane on the bench then? I'd probably do it as Kane is out...

Holgate / de Roon, so 2p most likely.

You'd take the hit? I'm currently on -4 (Brunt, Firmino -> Valencia, Alli) as I prioritize these transfers higher. But I don't mind taking additional -4 if it's justified.

    Randolph
    Alonso, Coleman, Baines
    Mane, Coutinho, Sigurdsson, Antonio
    Costa, Lukaku, Llorente

    Heaton, Brunt, Friend, de Roon
    5.7 itb.

    Already did Kane -> Costa.
The plan is Baines - Coutinho - Llorente ->Walker - Sanchez - Gabbiadini over the next weeks
Worth doing one of the transfers now for a hit?

Thanks. Not really worried about him atm though. Might get a goal agaisnt Brom and City, but can't really see him exploding. I'm happy with getting him in for gw 31.

Have used my WC and am quite happy with the team but looks like a benching nightmare.....any suggestions on changes as not sure can deal with the pain after each gw when I get it wrong
    Team is
    Pickford/jaku
    cahill/walker/valencia/kos/britos
    sanchez/pedro/alli/siggy/king
    defoe/costa/gab

Wow, you are exposing yourself for a lot of headaches with that squad mate. Downgrade a mid / def and get Lukaku for Defoe?

    AOA... ??

    Heaton
    Alonso / Coleman
    Siggy / Antonio / Mane / King / Sterling
    Crouch / Costa / Lukaku

    Grant / McAuley / Mawson / Pieters

Is it stupid leaving Sanchez out?
