For the first half of April, we have teamed up with FanDuel to launch an exclusive free-to-enter “Last Man Standing” style contest, spanning the next four Gameweeks.

Called “Fantasy Football Scout Survivor”, this latest tournament differs from FanDuel’s distinct weekly and daily contest format as it covers a number of Gameweeks, with competitors seeking to survive through to the final round.

The format for “Survivor” will be instantly familiar to anyone who has participated in Fantasy Premier League “Last Man Standing” tournaments.

After each round of fixtures, those managers that rank in the bottom 50% of scores will be eliminated, with the top half marching on to the next stage. That continues until the ultimate winner is crowned – the highest scoring manager in the fourth round of fixtures.

Existing FanDuel customers, as well as those new to the game, are free to take part in this contest, although it is worth noting that this is only available to UK residents.

There are 300 team slots available and entries are limited to one per FanDuel account, so be sure to claim your spot in this exclusive free-to-enter contest.

Also, for new customers that register ahead of this tournament, FanDuel are giving away a free £5 credit, which can be accessed by using the promocode SCOUTFIVER when signing up via this link.

If you’re building a FanDuel lineup for the first time, we recommend taking a look at our strategy guide that examines which players to target in the various positions.

Getting Started

Click here and pick your FanDuel lineup for the first round, taking place in Gameweek 30.

Once your lineup is complete, you will either need to register an account or log in.

If you’re registering for the first time, Don’t forget to use the promo code “SCOUTFIVER” to claim your free credit.

When your line-up is entered, you can log back in and edit it, right up until the kick-off in the first match via the “upcoming” tab.

Should your team qualify for each next round, you will find a dummy line-up available, allowing you to tinker ahead of the next set of fixtures via the ‘upcoming’ tab in the FanDuel lobby.

Schedule and Prizes

The competition takes place over Gameweeks 30 -33, with the deadline for entries set for 12:30pm Saturday, April 1.

Here is the full list of rounds and the number of teams involved in each:

  • Round one – Saturday 1st April – 300
  • Round two – Saturday 8th April – 120
  • Round three – Saturday 15th April – 60
  • Grand Final  – Saturday 22nd April – 25

The winner is the competitor with the highest round four score, who will receive a £30 Amazon voucher and a £20 FanDuel credit.

The highest scorer in rounds one to three will receive a free entry into the following week’s Fan Favourite competition.

I'm just pointing out in the past he has dished out a few awful tackles - as of course have many many other players.

All credit for handling himself well tonight.

      Hi man he's a legend.

People don't get his stance on certain things.

I get every part of it because I'm from Derry and 90% of nationalists in Derry have the same feelings as McClean.

Very articulate tbh I think he will make a manager some day.

Exactly, how could anyone understand how he feels unless they've had the same background as him. Love his 100% commitment game in, game out.

I thought of you and your gang all this week, all the way as far as Cork-those deaths have affected us and are in our prayers.
I'm very impressed with James-he's really maturing now and deserves all the plaudits.

He did himself justice and he can be so proud of how he played and handled himself tonight.

Gutted, absolutely gutted for Seamus, it was a horrific tackle.
He was having a brilliant season for club and country, such an wonderful lad-everything good that should be seen and played by a professional footballer.
    Devastated for Coleman.

I work in the hire car industry - a runner is a vehicle that is used to drop off or collect people in deliveries or collecting other vehicles.

E.g. Take the runner to Liverpool to collect, collect and drop.

People say 'I couldn't do your job' an awful lot but it's all relative. Lots and lots of jobs I couldn't/wouldn't want to do. After 10 years it all becomes very 'a matter of fact'. Much rather theatre than a ward....death and suffering on the wards are something to behold compared to theatre.

Ha. Well, I'm across the pond - an American - and all my clients are cable channels that specialize in the non-fiction/factual space (think Discovery, Nat Geo, HGTV, Food Net, History, Investigation Discovery, etc.). So if you watch shows on any of those, I've either ruined them or made them better - probably ruined them 🙂

Actually, judging by my decent FPL run the last few years I'm a little worried my clients are getting too little of my time and figuring out a way to get Rondon out of my team is getting too much of it 🙂

I'll tell you what ruins those types of programs big time - adverts, like every 2mins. And then they insist on doing a recap on the previous 2mins after the ads, which means about 1 min of new footage. And then ads again etc.

                Thing never gets going....

I think that's fair. The recaps used to be a necessary evil to get viewers who didn't watch from the beginning up to speed, but with more people recording/DVRing shows, the teases going to break and recaps coming out of break are becoming a real issue for channels.

It was like printing money a few years back - cheap to produce, no writers needed, the "stars" didn't require as much money - but the saturation of shows about people do dangerous/weird/sometimes even boring jobs is quickly killing off the category.

Use this plugin, helps to monitor response times. FFS was much quicker. Maybe it'd the ads. Mark said today some additional code was left over, or something along those lines. Probably a temporary thing.

Bale should have been sent off for his potential leg breaker on O'Shea seconds before that tackle on Coleman, just because of who he is he didn't get a red. Would have prevented the leg break too

I don't care what momentum he has or what he was trying to do, studs high going over the ball into O'Shea's planted leg, could have easily been a leg breaker

Bales tackle on O'Shea was a red also. Yes he was going for the ball for a goal. But if he caught someones leg like that out the field, a straight red for sure.
Ref lost it not booking Whelan and Long in the first half. Wales were obviously told at HT to fight fire with fire

    1. Big Al
      • 8 Years

Agree he should have seen red for the studs on O'Shea. Could have even got a second yellow for catching McClean. Saying he didn't see him isn't really a defense, it was dangerous play.

It's gonna be down to if the break is a 'good' one, genetics and Seamus will power in rehab.

If Boro have learned anything from the Utd game then Negredo and Gestede would be starting in a 4-4-2. And they would be whipping in crosses as often as possible.

F**k. Seeing a tackle go in like that on Seamus and watching him being stretchered off made me genuinely sad.

He's one of the good guys in football, role model in every sense of the word.

Can only hope to god he still has a few seasons left in him after that. 🙁

Not seen it in gory detail but Taylor's an honest player.
Sometimes players fly in with just the ball in their minds.
Looks like he was over the top but he's not that sort of player.
No consolation to Coleman but there you go.

            I've not seen that.
Players fly into tackles and this sometimes happens. Horrible (I've been 6ft away and seen one up close) but no one does it intentionally.

There's being late and there's being reckless. Taylor was reckless. Don't know how he could even complain to the referee.
Dele Alli's red v Gent was right in front of me and I knew it was bad, but it wasn't reckless, it was late, but they wouldn't even show a replay of tonight's at the time it was that bad. These things happen but if you aren't reckless they rarely do.

I'd say Taylor was reckless. Looking at it in very slow motion he's not really late, not like the Bale one I've seen.
Tbh I've seen many worse tackles than that, Alli's being one.
Suppose he has to be sent off but I'm very old school in that for me tackling is one of the best parts of football. No one wants to see legs broken though.

Yeah but when the guy you just tackled is holding his dangled leg he should stfu and show some concern rather than protest

If it's a compound fracture of both bones it will have to be pinned and he will be on traction for a good while . Could take a good 18-24 months before its healed properly and then there's no guarantees that he will play again.
      Poor lad.

Wales are filthy. In the referees ear every moment, Bale obviously teaching his countrymen how they play in Spain buying fouls for nothing. Bale was lucky not to see red for his challenge on O'Shea as well. It was high and it was late.
