A lacklustre Double Gameweek 34 limps to its conclusion this Thursday evening with the small matter of a Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium.

Marcus Rashford returns to the starting XI in the second match of United’s Double Gameweek as they look for a win that would allow them to leapfrog Pep Guardiola’s men in the race for a Champions League spot.

Drafted in by a massive 457,000+ FPL managers last week and captained by 6.3%, the teenager served up a single point against Burnley on Sunday after being afforded a late role off the bench.

Antonio Valencia is also named on Jose Mourinho’s teamsheet, much to the relief of his 17.5% owners – the Ecuadorian was rested for three of his side’s previous four league fixtures.

The Red Devils’ arrive on the back of a fine defensive record, conceding just once in their last five.

Yet they face a man in form in Sergio Aguero, who is looking to score for a sixth successive league appearance – his most consistent streak of the season.

The Argentine has recovered from the knock that forced him off against Arsenal at Wembley on Sunday and carries the captaincy hopes of 8.2% FPL managers tonight.

With a trip to Middlesbrough up next this weekend and a pair of home fixtures in Double Gameweek 37, the likes of Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne could also play their way into consideration if they can overcome their resilient visitors.

We’re also keeping an eye on the pitch time of Gabriel Jesus as he looks to reclaim the lone striker role from Aguero.

The Brazilian – who bagged 24 points in his first two league starts – is fit enough to be named amongst the subs after recovering from the foot injury that forced him off against Bournemouth back in Gameweek 25.

No BPs for Bailly or Blind? But Kolarov and Komp are ahead of them.
Man U were doing most of the defending.

We still have Southampton and Stoke away. Our record is terrible against those 2 away.

What to do with this? Would like to get one of Hazard/Costa in and Jesus looks promising as well.

    DDG
    Naughton - Vertonghen - Pieters
    Alexis - Coutinho - Alli - King
    Vardy - Defoe - Lukaku

Pickford - De Roon - Chambers - Kingsley

I blame Rojo for his Europa injury to cause me a hit for Gibson 🙁

Almost hit that 100 point mark thanks to a loss of additional 5 points (12 from two CS - 7 from Gibson)

I'm genuinely looking forward to hearing what Jose Mourinho had to say about Marouane Fellaini's red card.

Or when he's asked about the fact they barely even tried to score a goal.

With Valencia possibly rested and Gibson having tough game which is the best defender upgrade:

    A - Gibson > Blind
    B - Gibson > Yoshida
    C - Other?

    Pickford
    Valencia - Gibson - McAuley
    Sanchez - Zaha - Eriksen - Alli - King
    Kane - Lukaku

    Heaton - Carroll - Mawson - Amat

It makes more sense than captaining Negredo or Rashford and a fair few people did that.

How many clean sheets have United got?
How many goals has Negredo managed?

Though Aguero appeared to be in pain after the whistle...stretched his groin after going for that ball at the far post?
