Gradually weaned off our double fixture helping and returned to normality, the ScoutCast team take time out to pick through the wreckage of Gameweek 34, before we set our sights firmly on what lies ahead.

Wildcards and Bench Boost chips lodged up their end of season sleeves, Jonty, Andy and Luke join me to embrace another round of community questions.

With the rebuilding programme imminent, we take a look at those shot-term punts who can do a job in Gameweek 35, before weighing up single fixture assets who can possibly hold their own amid the forthcoming circus of Gameweek 37.

And, of course, we carry out our weekly appraisal of Alexis Sanchez, as the Chilean hints at a return form just as an irresistable Eden Hazard closes in.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Monday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Decent enough team for this week? (WC next week)

    DDG
    Alonso / Valencia / Daniels
    Sanchez / Alli / Sane / Zaha
    Kane (C) / Lukaku / Benteke

    Pickford / Ward Prowse / Bavies / Maguire (0FT - 0.5 ITB)

    Cheers.

I really want Monreal in for Gibson but need to upgrade Gestede (don't fancy Anichebe at all for BB despite the dgw) to Afobe maybe, so Gibbs would work budget wise.
I suppose a lot depends on when Mustafi returns, but how likely is it that Gibbs gets at least a couple of games in the next 3 or 4?

Too much risk for my liking. Holding could get a start over him. To be honest, the only player I remotely fancy that's at risk of rotation is Jesus because of his goalscoring threat as witnessed last night.
Not worth it for defenders imo

        Looking at

        DeGea Caballero
Alonso Monreal/Cahill Daniels PVA/Jagielka Mawson for my defence in 37.

G'day all, quick vote for you in the DZ. I have the exact money to do one of the following transfers:

    1. Zaha+Barragan > Albrighton + Bailly
    2. Lukaku+Eriksen+Barragan > Aguero+JWP+Daniels (-4)

Leading ML by 20 points. Rival has Aguero+Firmino who do not have. I have Kane and Hazard, he does not.

ah so this is the team I have on the WC atm. Will mostly be playing 3-5-2 or 4 at the back plus Anichebe or Afobe will only be used for GW 37 BB

    GK - Cech Willy/DDG

    Def - Alonso Cahill Monreal Kompany/Bailly Daniesl/Bertrand

Mid - Sanchez Haz Erik Alli King

    Att- Kane Gabbi Anichebe

Putting your team value to use, but there will be a fair bit of cash on the bench each week too (though that's won't matter in DGW37, I assume).

      1. Phil Dagger ⭐
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 7 months ago

yeah. mostly depends on who I want
A cheap 2nd keeper plus Yoshida & Holgate + Costa and Bench one of the attacking players each week.
Second choice was costa or Alli. I have choosen Alli.and Double up Chelsea defence

        What you say?

          • 11 Years

Anichebe sticks out like a sore thumb in the sea of quality you have there, but he does ease your front eight selection dilemma each week. I guess defender points are cheaper to bench than some forward points.

thnx. yeah Anichebe is the only.one that I am not sure of but even he has a dbgw. dont mind benching points 🙂 . Need 37 BB to be better and dont trust in.the usual Pickofrd + Yosh +.Holgate + JWP/Afobe etc. combo in BB.

This. I think a strong defence in BB37 will be a huge differential over teams with Pickford, Yoshi, Stephens, Holgate and Gabriel for example

You still have a heavy hitting team, Anichebe is the enabler and he's the best available to be honest..

    2. Pep says
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 7 months ago

      Caballero over DDG for price.

Then Bailly over Kompany. He's injury prone and we really don't know if he's nailed or not.

      Daniels over Bertrand for me

Anichebe is sound for the doubles. I'm between 2 minds over Gabbi and Jesus though. I'll have to wait and see how it goes this weekend, it's say to pick either one but Gabbi allows you the midfield so.

Looks decent. I like the Chelsea double up, they will keep cleans on the run home, even going by the opposition alone and Cahill is a beast in the box

Fabregas : Looking at his stats Conte recently seems to like playing him at home, he's started the last 4 and had two double digit hauls, 2 goals one assist 6 bonus.

With 3 out 4 at home after EVE, anyone considering him as an end of season punt?

Ya, he's likely to start too because the opposition isn't very strong

I was thinking about him, but it comes down to Costa vs Fabregas. Not sure which way to go...

Unsure who to bench for GW35. Current line-up is as follows:

    Caballero
    Alonso / Vertonghen / Stephens
    Sanchez / Hazard / Eriksen / King
    Kane / Benteke / Gabbiadini

    Bench: Pickford / 1.Sane / 2. Monreal / 3. Holgate

Should I play Monreal over Stephens (don't think I should)? Should I play Sane over Sanchez..?

I feel Sané is most at risk of rotation but against Boro it's a brave call. I just dropped Sanchez if that helps.

Hey guys, i usually only focus on my H2H league with my friends. Currenly 2nd place.

My next opponent never touch his team for like ages so his capt will always be Costa.

My concern is i really have to beat this team. Should i get costa and (c) him to match him ? But i dont need costa in the future.

    Current Squad

    Jaka, Grant
    Valencia, Bailey, Baines
    Alli,Son, Sanchez, Couthino
    Benteke, Gabi, Lukaku

    a) sell lukaku and buy Costa (c) -4
    b) sell son and buy someone like Tadic/sane that i need for the remaining of the season ? -4
    c) Save Transfer

No, not against Everton away. Captain a better pick imo

Im keeping my WC for next week 🙂

Already have a team in head

        Cabalero, Pickford
        Monreal,Dluiz, bailey, Betrand, Pedington
        Sanchez,Sane/Tadic, Hazard, Alli, Tcarrol
        Gabi, Kane, Jesus

Unless finances are a major concern, if I was wildcarding next week I'd probably use my FT to take a punt on a player I think could do significantly better that one of the players I would be removing next week anyway.

Best 1 week midfield punt to replace Siggy (for a hit)?

    A) KDB (mid)
    B) Sane (mid)
    B) Herrera (SWA)
    C) Tadic (HUL)
    D) JWP (HUL)
    E) Other

Money no issue as WC next week.

It's funny how we are swayed by what we want to happen. I was all set to bring Sane and Jesus in for 36 but now I've decided to get ozil (forgot Arsenal had a dgw) I'm looking at city fixtures and thinking yeah they're good but none of those teams tend to get battered. Can Benteke keep pace with Jesus?

Which 1 week punt to take this week before using WC the week after?

    A: Siggy ---> King (sun)
    B: Siggy ---> Arnie (WHM)
    C: Rashford ---> Gabbi (HUL)

    Heaton Mannone
    Alonso Daniels Valencia Gibson Amat
    Sanchez Eriksen Alli Sigurdsson Townsend
    Lukaku Kane Negredo

    1 FT, 0.8 ITB

    A) Sigurdsson ➡ King(C)
    B) Negredo ➡ Gabbiadini
    C) both for a hit

    Cheers.

I don't get this holding your WC. You could easily gain 15 points in defence by WC'ing now. Save free next week and have 2 into 37 into you need to reorganize anything.
