The curtain falls on Gameweek 35 with a Vicarage Road meeting between Watford and Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges arrive bidding to cement their standing in the top four, exploiting Sunday’s results which saw their major challengers drop points.

From a Fantasy perspective, Liverpool’s twin Brazilians will garner the most interest.

Both Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino head into this encounter having prospered against the Hornets in the reverse fixture. Coutinho produced a goal and an assist for 11 points, while his compatriot went fared even better, recording two assists and a goal to total 15 points – his best tally of the campaign.

Both have the backing of new owners tonight, with Coutinho the more popular, finding his way into 50,000+ squads ahead of Gameweek 35, compared with Firmino’s 23,000+. The former is also favoured for the armband, with more than 122,000 (2.7%) trusting Coutinho.

But Liverpool are likely to face some resistance from the home side. Walter Mazzarri’s Watford reached the 40 point “safety” mark with six matches to spare and have earned victories with clean sheets in three of their last five Gameweek outings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Morrison also a budget choice with GGW at 4.3, he's got 5 premier league goals to his name this season. I had 4.3 left so he's my choice. Probably only 3/4points but never know 😀

The above sounds about right, bench boost is worth about 15-25 points if you have a wildcard to make it useful, all out attack is useless maybe worth 5 at best and WC it depends on the state of the teams but I would give it a value of 25 points or so

What should I do with my FT? 1.9itb

    Caballero / Pickford
    Stephens / Alonso / Yoshi / Monreal / Bailly*
    King / Sanchez / Alli / Hazard / Coutinho*
    Kane / Gabbiadini / Anichebe

    A. Bailly to Vertonghen?
    B. Gabbidini + Coutinho --> Jesus + Sane for a -4
    C. Hold transfer and bench Cout, Bailly and Anichebe?

    Wildcarding by numbers...

Arsenal & Southampton have more games to play than any other sides so three players from each of those teams is essential (6).

As a general rule of thumb, teams score more goals and earn more clean sheets when playing at home so we'll have three players apiece from Chelsea,Manchester City and Leicester who will play 75% of their remaining fixtures in their own manor (15).

This affords us something like this...

    Caballero, Schmeichel

    Yoshida, Stephens, Monreal, Fuchs, Alonso

    Sanchez, Ozil, Hazard, Sane, Albrighton

    Costa, Gabbiadini, Jesus

Slightly different from the template and guaranteed to succeed as numbers never lie. 😉

Costa over kane is normal, but Costa is slowing down.
Also those gunners are really make or break (unfortunately for the "numbers", it's not looking good on the pitch right now)

    Hi all

It's looking like this for this week:

    Pick / Hen
Stones(yf) Yoshi* Holgate / Bailly (yf) Barralol (not starting)
    Eriksen Alli San(c)hez* King Haz
    Kane Jesus / Anichebe
    3.0 itb

Worth taking a hit to remove Barragan for Alonso? Or just muddle through and hope one of Stones, Bailly and Barragan plays?

    Thanks 🙂

Hmm maybe! Not 100% on it yet, I'm gna wait for the pressers! It'd be for a -8 so I'm reticent to do it.

Erm not great, 47, poor palace performance and lack of Bournemouth killed me. Was reeling in ML rival but he's gotten away again!

        What about you?

        1. The Overthinker
          • 9 Years
          9 years, 2 months ago

If it's for -8 , it's better to wait for the pressers. But i think Bailly should start against Arsenal, as it will be the deciding factor whether Manchester united can finish in top 4 or not .

I had a great week for a change, 77 points . It was that week where everything when In favour of Me. Got return from all but lukaku.
Brought in king for siggy and gave him the armband, proved to be a good move . Had some hopes of firmino goal but well that vanished as soon as coutinho was off.
Still went only 80K up the rank.

Nice one mate 🙂 hoping I get a comeback this week. Jesus a risk but ml rival has kun, so I've gotta go for it there really.

Yeah the -8 seems like silly season a bit. I'll do it if stones or baily are out for season i think!!

Strange that no-one suggested downgrading KdB on my RMWCs. I think seeing Kane and Eriksen in a team influences people, when it doesn't make a difference really.

I'm on A at the moment. Huth could become Bavies, which would make B impossible.

Owned KdB earlier on in the season and he flattered to deceive an awful lot - disappointed me in games when I expected a return consistently!

Okay I'm thinking of making the switch, but I'll keep an eye on Rose news. Bavies could be the man. I haven't owed Alli for a while and I've shot up over 600K in 3 GWs!

Tbh I don't have a clue about the starting chances of those 3 in your team. I would want Alonso this week, but not for a hit. I guess you'll have to wait for more news, if there is any

          9 years, 2 months ago

I'll have Huth as don't want any ars rotation risk & why not KDB? He's been rotated/played in other roles so that's a risk, but has better fixtures than Alli. I'll prob have Alli not KDB but who knows what happens.

What are the basic rules and strategy for the upcoming wildcard?

I don't want to see teams, I want to know 3 from this team, 2 from that team etc etc.

Last year we had some great articles on the best way to max out the dgw...

      6 from Arsenal/S'ton
      9 from other DGW teams

That's what the article would say.

my wild card contains no arsenal currently as they've been awful. Am finding that very scary though!

Yes, I know that, but there must be a fairly decent general approach. I'm happy to pick the individual players, but a bit of filtering would help, x players from y teams is all I'm after!

Good evening. How is this wildcard team looking for you and what would you change if anything?

    Caballero, Pickford
    Blind, Yoshida, Vertonghen, Monreal, Stephens
    Alli, Hazard, King, Sanchez, Sane
    Kane, Jesus, Gabbiadini

Pretty much yes. Do you think it's ok to go with Hazard as only Chelsea player or would you try to accommodate Alonso/Costa in?

I think I'd have to bench Sane if I go with this lot

That's the way the schedule goes.
Maybe go a but not imaginative if your chasing or just love the risk.
My team is similar but I have 3 arsenal
