With many Fantasy managers now looking to wield Wildcards, we cast an eye over in-form and in-demand attackers and also assess some of the stand-out assets in defence ahead of Friday evening’s deadline.
I just don't trust what Jonty says on the Scoutcast.
'I know that Monreal or another Arsenal defender will actually be the higher scorer' (over Sanchez) sounds crazy. Maybe one of them will be, and obviously it's hard to nail which one that will be, but a Sanchez goal in each and some bonus and it's him that scores highest.
That comment just sounds like a sneaky way to get people to captain a defender and I can't see that as a good decision
He's just going off the previous 2 DGWs and Sanchez struggling in FPL terms.
Ah I know he's been poor, and I know if I was on an hour long talk show I'd say stuff I wouldn't stick to, but still.
I guess he wasn't recommending it as he says he'll go Sanchez but I'd prefer he made a strong call instead of hedging like that

Not sure, a clean sheet and Sanchez blank isn't that implausible.

Sanchez seems to me so much better as a captaincy prospect that I don't think leaving the door open for a potential CS+goal from one of the Arsenal defenders is necessary

I can't cap Sanchez because I am chasing a ML leader that will do it for sure so in my case I need a differential. It's all or nothing for me. But I am struggling to find a better option than Sanchez... i am afraid Gabbi will be the new Negredo fiasco so... I might go with a defender...
Try some single gameweek player? Chelsea and Man City's fixtures are nice...
yeah, im afraid of the same when it comes to gabbi. You could always go with a single gw player with a good fixture. Not too sure the dgw defenders have the greatest fixtures to warrant an armband but that could be precisely why it may pay off handsomely! goodluck

Apart from our FPL plans, is Alonso the reason for the Chelsea resurgence this season? They never looked back ever since he got those starts. Don't see any other player apart from him in the Chelsea ranks that would've given Conte the confidence to go 3 at the back. Him & Moses are the real heroes this season but way too underrated.

I know many Chelsea fans (I am one myself) share the view that Alonso is our weak link. However, he suits the system well and most of his weaker performances haven't become talking points as we have still managed to win most of those games. I know Conte is looking for a new LWB, and I hope we get one. He is a decent PL player, but his weaknesses will get exposed a lot more in the CL.

The upside of TC in 37 is huge. And how many single GW players will you have in 37? If it is 2 or more, then the difference is just 2 matches or less for your BB.
I wouldn't TC in GW38, but I am considering other options, these are the three I'm looking at:
A) GW36 TC (Sanchez), GW37 BB.
The bench boost would be Pickford (SWA, ars), King (BUR), Brunt (CHE, mci), Stephens (MID, mun)
B) GW36 TC (Hazard home vs. Boro), same BB as above.
C) GW36 BB, GW 37 TC (Hazard wba, WAT)
The BB would be Pickford (hul), King (stk), Brunt (bur), Stephens (liv, ARS)

I am scared for the same as my ML rival will Triple captain hazard in 37 while i would be using the bench boost and dont know when to use the Triple captain. 🙁

1), I would keep Carroll as an enabler as you have too many other changes to make and I assume WC is gone.
2) Everton play Swansea this week, not necessarily your priority out.
3) If you only have 1 FT, save and make moves with more information.
4) If you have 2 FT, then probably do *one of* Walker to Monreal *or* Brunt to Huth *or* Valdes to Pickford...
5) Boring, but you have a low budget and need to get your transfers right for 37... best way to get them right is hold your nose through price rises and wait for all the news to roll in before making your moves.

One question I wanted to ask is Jesus essential this week or can i ride the storm for gw36 to have 2 ft to sort it out?? I made the mistake of getting benteke for a one weeker and he messed me up so now stuck with him and dont have much in the bank. If i can wait to get jesus till after 36 would be perfect!! any reason why i should or shouldnt??
