Our post-Gameweek members article assessing some of the top performers arrives once again this evening.

With many Fantasy managers now looking to wield Wildcards, we cast an eye over in-form and in-demand attackers and also assess some of the stand-out assets in defence ahead of Friday evening’s deadline.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Would you start Oriol Romeu who has 2 fixtures (LIV, ARS) over any of the below players?
    Ali, King, Hazard, Kane, Costa

@GFFN Breaking | AS Monaco have rejected an €85m offer from Manchester United for Kylian Mbappé, according to Gianluca di Marzio.

@GFFN AS Monaco have told Manchester United they want between €120m and €140m for Kylian Mbappé. (Gianluca di Marzio)

This would be a terrible move for Mbappe. Imagine would Mourinho would do to his confidence after a bad game.

Or he would back him completely and make him an integral part of team, despite his age... Ie. Rashford

Rashford has hardly been an integral part of their team this season.

He's made 47 appearances so far.. Jose trusts his talent and perhaps even more importantly his effort

The guy hasn't scored a league since September until recently. Barely been integral. He's been hung out to dry as well. Was it after WBA?

I think Mourinho is awful with young players. He is only interested in the here and now.

I'd have thought CIty a better prospect for him.

Mbappe should just stay at Monaco. Pep and Mourinho won't be here for the long term.

He's been a regular in the side berbs and been praised a lot more than most.. he gives 100% so the goal drought didn't bother Jose one bit

I get that. Just saying to me "integral" doesn't equate to less than 50% league games.

I think that was more chance than design initially but eventually became the solution as Mkhitaryan hasn't gone too well and Mourinho clearly doesn't trust/rate Martial.

Mkhi been hot and cold but 10 goals so far considering the games he has missed isn't bad at all

Martial hasn't got the work rate of Rashford that's why Rashford gets the nod Jose said it himself pretty much.. give everything you have and he has no issue

I agree that out of the youngsters, he seems to trust Rashford, however that may be.

But the rest (Shaw, Martial, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe etc) he clearly doesn't. His track record suggests Mbappe might fall into the latter category in my opinion

Shaw can't be trusted over keeping fit.. every manager he has worked under has had reservations about this despite his talent

Martial body language and lack of effort when things aren't going for him isn't going to help him with Jose

Fose Mensah should have certainly seen more minutes and Tuanzebe too in the early stages of cup competitions.. my only gripe with Mourinho is i feel he could have utilised the squad better and we are paying for it now tbh..

He certainly could've rotated a bit more but I don't think he trusts a few of them. On the striker note I think someone like Kane, Lukaku, Icardi or Belotti suits Mourinho's teams down to the ground. Bullish, strong, clinical, predators.

Yeah they are definitely Mourinho type centre forwards and they kind he has built his teams around.. the Zlatan injury means there will be an out and out striker purchased as well as a support striker imo

    A) Eriksen
    B) Alli
    C) Ozil
    D) Tadic and Cech (-4)
    E) Sane and Cech (-4)
    F) Ozil for GW36 and Eriksen/Alli for GW37

    Can't afford Cech with A, B or C.

I think Sane and Pedro are equally at risk of rotation BUT, can you upgrade King to Sane by dowgrading defenders>?

Might go for Rashford. Other than that then DDG appears the best option, although Utds DGW isn't particularly favourable.

    Bear this in mind:

ARS, CHE, MCI, MUN, SUN & WAT - 3 days

      Thanks - really useful stuff.

Still, all of the clubs with something still to play for are in 3 day category with the exception of Spurs.

We probably need to manage our expectations In terms of widespread rotation (even by normal dgw standards).

I think rotation is a lottery at this time.
My thoughts are to accept rotation as it will affect everyone.
The only players I feel are nailed are possible keepers, Sanchez and probable Hazard.
Let us hope Chelsea and Spurs with fighting for 4th place carries on to the last game of the season.

ScoutCast template WC team. Brackets are upgrades or choices depending on formation / money available:

    Pickford (Cech) - Caballero
    Yoshida - Stephens - Alonso - Gabriel (Monreal) - (Vertonghen / Huth / Holgate)
    Sanchez - Hazard - Alli - King - (Albrighton / JWP / Sane / Eriksen)
    Kane - Jesus - (Costa / Anichebe / Barnes / Gabbi)

Hard to see two more similar picks...each one very slightly not nailed on but Pedro scoring more PPG than Sane and for cheaper.

I think people are maybe under-rating Arsenal assets a little. You are getting 4 games with 2 DGWs with their players instead of 3 games and only with 1 DGWs with all the rest (apart from Southampton players) don't forget.

Granted I haven't got my wildcard left but my two transfers in this week are Ozil and Koscienly who will be in my team alongside Sanchez. Think there's big potential for all three of them to score big points from now to the end of the season.

    Fixtures look really good:
Man United (H) - Plenty of injury problems at United and this game is in between the two legs of their Europa League semi-final which may prove to be their main priority. Their goal threat is seriously reduced without Ibra and a lot of injuries in defense.
Southampton (A) - Hard to judge with this saints team but they won easily at St.Mary's in the FA Cup earlier in the season.
Stoke (A) - Always seems to be a fiesty fixture but Stoke have nothing to play for.
Sunderland (H) - Couldn't ask for a better fixture up against the worst side in the division at home who are already relegated.
Everton (H) - Could need to win this to make top four depending on results.

Just a little food for thought, maybe I'm crazy but I would say tripling up on Arsenal may prove to be the safer and better option over Spurs (more difficult fixtures), Chelsea (potential for rotation if already won league) and Man City (not entirely sure of certain starters)

Keeping, benching this week and playing in 37/38, although could play him this week with AOA but that would mean choosing two from Yoshida Gabriel Alonso Vertonghan

The temptation was to move him out for Gabbi and that's still an option for 37 I guess

They're the two best ever by a stretch.. i give Ronnie the edge as he has absolutley dominated two different leagues and has led his country against all odds to glory also.. If people think Messi then fair enough but yet to see a valid argument other than crap like Messi isn't human and Messi is on another level which actually doesn't make sense in any way.. come at me with a decent argument and i'll listen all day..

Messi is superior as a footballer and history will write that no one can change it. Cristiano is lethal and has incredible phyisical attributes but no comparison should be made between the two as footballers as messi is on another level.

      1. KingNidge
        • 10 Years

Actually as things stand history will write that Ronaldo achieved greatness with two different teams in two very different leagues and on the international stage.. they play at the same level.. Messi is easier on the eye on the pitch these days i'll accept that but there is a lot more to it than that and the whole "another level" business i find staggering tbh.. Messi hasn't achieved anything in the game that Ronaldo hasn't
