Swansea City are the next side to be assessed as part of our in-depth team-by-team analysis series for members.

We start by checking in on the team statistics in an attempt to spot trends or improvements over the past 12 months before we shift to analyse player data, as we attempt to narrow the field ahead of the new campaign.

Having been ensconced in the security of mid-table in 2015/16 – claiming 47 points to finish in twelfth position – the Swans were left floundering last season. With just three wins in the opening 19 Gameweeks of 2016/17, the Welsh outfit looked doomed at the midway point until the arrival of Paul Clement.

Appointed as successor to Francesco Guidolin, the new manager chalked up four victories in his first six fixtures to steer his side out of the drop zone. Swansea ultimately clinched fifteenth spot on 41 points – seven clear of relegation, scoring 45 goals.

For the 3 goals City scored against Spurs, there were 6 different scorers/assisters.

There's no one that really dominates the pts at City anymore...

      When Stones scores, it's preseason.
Should have been 7-0 or more.

Jesus did miss a large number of chances. Think he'll lose his spot to Kun after that performance?!

no way. pep loves jesus. and preferred him over Kun last season

think only KDB is the most nailed on city option after jesus

Kun and Jesus still the most dangerous. KDB involved in everything good about city, but I don't see him getting goals. Sterling looks dangerous but dunno how much he'll play!

    Bottomed last page

Is Danilo a decent 5.5 option into City wing back potential? Is Walker worth £1.0 m more?

Surely at cost of nearly £30 and having played 41 games for Real Madrid last season, and wants more game time, not going to be left too often on bench allowing of course for Pep's rotation plans.

      Hi mate yes please!

      Forster/Foster

Daniels - Dawson - Cedric - Cahill (Rangel)

Eriksen - Zaha - Coutinho (RLC, Carroll)

      Aguero - Luk - Rooney

I would definitely swap Gayle for Rooney considering Newcastles opening games. I would also either downgrade Cahill or upgrade him to either Walker or Alonso. Aguero may be a risk of rotation or not scoring as many goals if he playings with Jesus. 8/10

    positives/my thoughts:
    +attack: safety
    +Mid: strong/safe
+Defence: 3 covers from UTD and SOU which have decent fixtures plus trippier from a good defence.

Does it make sense or there is some obvious weakness?

Milivojevic could be decent. On free kicks and pens.

but attacking returns from free kicks and pens aint bad - people do expect him to be playing a bit further up

Puncheon is my 5M midfielder. Captain of CP and a run of favorable games.

Hi guy, please may I request feedback on my team? 🙂

    Forster/Foster

Daniels - Dawson - Cedric - Cahill (Rangel)

Eriksen - Zaha - Coutinho (RLC, Carroll)

    Aguero - Luk - Rooney

thinking about downgrading Cahill and upping Zaha to Pogba and Gayle in for Rooney?

    Thanks 🙂

Matic just made everything more confusing. Pogba now becomes an option.

    Lacazette/Pogba or Lukaku/Ramsey

    Kane/Pogba or Lukaku/Alli

    Morara/Pogba or Lukaku/Willian

These will be headaches now Man Utd have a second option

    RMT out of 10 please:

    Forster
    Trippier Dawson Bailly Kompany
    Willian Zaha Salah
    Aguero Lukaku Jesus

    Any changes I should make?
    Recommendations would be appreciated!
I plan to transfer Kane or Alli in after 5-10 games, because City have very promising fixtures and Tottenham may start slowly at Wembley.
