Our series of summer members’ articles continues this afternoon as we assess what’s on offer at the managerial merry-go-round that is Watford.

To begin with, we analyse the Hornets’ performances on a team level, checking out last season’s data in order to spot trends and areas of improvement. Following that, we take a look at the players to pinpoint their key individuals.

For this article, we also focus on new manager Marco Silva’s impact on his former club Hull City after an impressive stint at the KCOM Stadidum during the second half of 2016/17.

Watford parted company with Quique Sanchez Flores at the end of 2015/16, scoring 40 times on their way to finishing in thirteenth spot on 45 points.

Yet the now-departed Walter Mazzarri failed to improve upon those performances in his only season at the helm. The Vicarage Road outfit scored the same number of goals but picked up just 40 points, ending the campaign in seventeenth position.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

How do you make transfers between players on Draft Fantasy Football? I understand that you cannot make direct transfers, but is there some indirect way (using waivers, free transfers, and the deadlines) of making trades? Cheers

WC of course but it's always safer to be as flexible as possible early on and there may not be a need to use WC because you can adjust and jump on bandwagons so easily.

Lots of money to made in midfield and I feel a high team value will at dividends as the season goes on. You won't make millions in defence because they are slow to rise. It's more likely that Walker and Alonso will lose some value early on because so many casuals will have both and when they don't score and keep 2 clean sheets each in their 1st 2 games, their gonna sell em to be able the afford a better midfielder or striker

      Defence is very poor.

      1. Homo Neanderthalensis

Would you say this team is better:

Again, defence is poor, Rangel is the worst 4m def you can pick, Chica has very limited pre season and isn't a good bet to start on. Also funds up top are tight, if Kane and Jesus start firing, you'll struggle to get them in without losing Kaku

    DeGea Elliot
    Davies Bertrand Dawson Mee Rosenior
    DeBruyne Ritchie Mane Carroll Zaha
    Kane Lukaku Mitrovic

Not sure which is the better way to distribute the money between my 3 main defenders:
If Cedric is nailed, I could downgrade Bertrand and use the 0.5 to upgrade Davies to a 6m like Kolasinac, if he is nailed too.
It kind of worries me not having any Chelsea (had in mind Willian/Alonso).

I feel like the third striker conundrum now has three prime candidates

1: Jesus, but you'll likely end up with a couple of other starters that you're not overly keen on. PPM is huge, he's the one I want but I'd rather balance my 11 as opposed to going in super heavy up top. City will no doubt be an absolute wrecking ball this year though.

2: Firmino, Fixtures along with a lot of creativity and now the very real possibility that he's got pens in his locker which is huge if true. Also the cheapest way into Pool coverage, although he'll only get 4 pts per goal as a FWD this season.

3: Abrahams, so much potential but I just worry about the supply given Siggy looks destined to be shipped this week. Carroll will be the main architect now but I think ideally he's a wait and see.

At the moment I'm on Firmino. Where's everyone sitting?

I'm finding the idea of trying to cover the top 6 teams to be a little difficult.

Have Kane, Kaku, KdB and Salah currently. No Arsenal or Chelsea but allows me to have a very balanced team (good defence and a good spread of funds).

How important is covering the top 6 considering at the end of last season I only had attacking players from 3 of the top 6 (Arsenal, Spurs and City)?

Kane, Lukaku and DeBruyne are locked in my team too. From Liverpool, it's Salah or Mane (might go with Salah as I feel Mane may be subbed off more since it hasn't been a long time he's come back after injury).
I want to hove someone from Chelsea, my thoughts are first on Willian and then, possibly, on Alonso, but not to keen to cause such an unbalance to my team.
I don't trust anyone from Arsenal yet, but there's a small chance I could go for Kolasinac, if I feel he's nailed.

that's not my final team , as for Mignolet he is in my final draft , i picked him for liverpools current defensive form which is actually really good , and for the fact he is a penalty save specialist
