The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

      Corners, free kicks, penos, decent fixtures after first one. Newcastle probably the best of the promoted team so that settles it for me against Ince, Mooy and kompany. Would want Phillips but he always gets his little niggles.

    Monitoring Willian vs Zaha, Bailly vs Kolasinac, De Gea vs Forster, and Cedric vs Stephens/5.5 defender. Would love some thoughts on these dilemmas...want to get this headache over with.

        Why Zaha over Willian? And is Stephens nailed? De Gea and Kola make sense to me.

      Zaha is a hype for good gw 1and3 fixtures. Willian is our best attacking threat atm and great value. (I have both though)

      Forster where their main man back when they had six cleen sheets in a row, and I think he's the better value being 0.5 less.

      United's opening fixtures are really good, and therefor bailly is safer AS he should get a few cleensheet. Kolasinac is however a great attacking threat, and I think he could be worth the upside.

      a I don't think Moreno will play I think it will be either milner lb or alexander Arnold and after Newcastle play Tottenham they have some good fixtures upcoming and Suttner does aswell

          Hahaha. I think you should keep Alonso. I think Alonso + 5.5 is better than Cedric + 7.0 mid. The only thing i would consider is downgrading to Bertrand and getting Tadic or Redmond, but I may only consider it.

          Having said that, I really would go for Iwobi 🙂

          Yeah, Carroll is nailed on for me. For me the "problem" is JWP and Fraser together with Carroll. Might be too many cheap and unreliable players.

      Everything is the same. Have 15 players, pick 11, 4 on the bench. Substitutes for those that dont play. The only difference is no captain.
