The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

          Same with Suttner, has competition (in Bong? I think that's his name) I want to know he will every week before I get him. Hegazi is nailed for now and has nice fixtures in a traditionally defensive side. Will WC in GW4.

        Iwobi and Danilo are short term I know, will WC in GW4 but they are at price points that I anticipate bandwagons will emerge from.

          Should be back but ify. Had a dead leg/thigh problem a few days ago.

          And yes Danilo, Hegazi and Iwobi will need to go out.

          But why plan to WC? WC when you need it. Thats the golden rule.

            Thanks. Read the match report and said he has some discomfort after taking a whack, but didn't list any specific injury and no news articles I could see about him being out. I guess their presser is today.

            With regards to WC, I have never made it past GW3 without using it. I'll stick it out until the window closes this time I hope, either the first or second international break.

    This won't be to everyone's taste, but I think I've found a way to squeeze 5 big attackers in and still have defensive cover from United, Spurs and Southampton.

    I figure that Zaha, Gabbiadini, Mkhi, Abrahams etc may do well but they're a gamble at this stage. Until we know where the value is in the lower brackets why not just squeeze in as many big hitters as possible? 2 FTs is still enough to juggle price brackets.

      He's scored a fair few the last few years I've heard. Kane offers more consistency per game and a more viable captaincy option than those two as well. Many have two of the three anyway however

        Interesting shout and Lukaku is what I'm most fearful of but I think City are full of goals and Alli is the most nailed lad in my side. That said, every united game i'll be watching from behind the couch

        Lukaku's ownership scares me much more than his ability to lead a Mourinho front line. I reckon Lukaku will have a great season but I don't think under United's system he'll be the captaincy threat many would like him to be. Jesus is risky in his place but I think he is more explosive and obviously that 1.0 goes a long way. This could end up totally backfiring as most will captain Rom week 1 anyway, but I like where I stand for now. Cheers TM 🙂

      Like the palace GK idea and the team looks good, strong midfield though I dont know how your forwards will perform. Lindelof I don't think is nailed unfortunately. Team looks mostly set from now
