Our latest round of fixes and improvements have gone live this morning.

The addition of Fantasy Premier League prices is the headline act – something that I know a good number of members have been requesting for some time.

Prices are updated daily and can be found as a sortable column in our player tables.

We’ve also added them as a global filter, allowing you to limit the players shown in a table by a maximum FPL price.

This filter is also available in custom tables, so now you can decide to build tables with a fixed maximum price in mind.

Elsewhere, we’ve added some new statistics in several areas.

Goalkeepers now have the Shots Faced and Shots on Target Faced statistics in their Goalkeeping table. We’ve also used these to calculate a Save Percentage stat. These are all useful numbers for assessing the worth of goalkeeper options.

Total shots conceded, along with total shots on target conceded, have also been added to the Team Stats Defending table. These are key indicators of team defensive form and are also added to team profiles and the team comparison tool.

We’ve also addressed some fixes in our BPS calculation. We’ve discovered that FPL does not register a save for a goalkeeper unless the shot was considered on target, so we’ve now addressed that. In addition, own goals were not factored into our Winning Goal statistic. That has been corrected.

We plan some further BPS work in the next update. We’re still not convinced on our Net Tackles calculation and will be sanity checking that against Gameweek 5 data – expect that to be tweaked in the next update.

Finally, we spotted a bug in our heatmaps display of chances created conceded. The positions were inverted when data was filtered for home or away matches only – we’ve now fixed this.

Oh, and before we go, we’ve also added a fix that should correct the auto scrolling issue that some users were suffering in Chrome. We recommend that you update to the new version if you’re still seeing this issue.

What’s coming next?

The big news is that we’re expecting to integrate both expected goals and expected assists on our test servers later this month.

We’re not sure if that’s going to make update six, but we would certainly be optimistic on update seven.

However, the main emphasis now and for the next two to three months will be HomeCrowd.

Mat will be getting up to speed with this code and our first step will be to optimise what we have, in preparation for some new features and tweaks.

I hope to bring you an update on that work, and expected goals, by the end of the month.

You can see our current task list and track our progress through the next update via this roadmap.

You can also send your feedback and requests to me at mark@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk

Our previous updates are detailed here, here, here and here.

A reminder that, if you want access to this update and other future additions to the members’ area, you can sign up now for £12.50. This is due to increase to £15 very, very soon, so get in quick if you’re wavering.

Existing registered users can upgrade via this link. New users, who are yet to get a registered account, can sign up via this link.

If you’re new to the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout membership, you can get full details, along with a series of movies previewing the content, via this page.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Good to go? Hard not choosing Kane with their upcoming fixtures but he's done nothing yet

    Foster
    Alonso | Cedric | Nyom
    Pogba | Xhaka | Eriksen | Brady
    Lukaku | Morata | Firmino

Sub: Fabianski | Naughton | Cork | Mbemba

If you're worried about Kane then it may be wise to have a potential move in place should he score at Everton. Perhaps drop Erik for a cheaper mid, he doesn't tend to do as well away from home.

Ello you lot - need some help here. I've got myself into a position where playing 5 at the back seems smart given fixtures, and have stuck with KDB and Kane since the start in the hope they'll come good. So the question is, stick with this and hold WC for at least another week:

    a)
    De Gea Elio
    Yoshida Bertrand Danilo Lowton Suttner
    KDB Pogba Redmond Richarlison Carroll
    Kaku Kane Mouniet
    0.4 ITB, no FT.

    OR twist to this:

    b):
    Foster Eliot
    Bertrand Suttner Yoshida Gomez Lowton
    Mkhit Siggy Pogba Redmond Carroll
    Kane Kaku Rooney

3 votes on either and it's on, and comments/advice welcome...

Having a serious look at Hazard over the forthcoming weeks.

Jonty was right about his home vs away form, but that does seem to apply to a lot of the 9-10m midfielders.

I'm not sure that Arsenal at home counts as a difficult fixture anymore either so may bring him in for that.

Man City aside, the fixtures look good after that.

Assuming you're looking to play Mooy or Sanches most weeks in a 3-4-3. If that's the case maybe just upgrade one of the weaker defenders and you can probably get decent points with a back 3 of: Jones - Cedric maybe? - Hegazi/Naughton.

I'd prefer Alonso / Morata / anyone with whatever you've left with.

I think Morata will be a differential at his price. Plus for me, Alonso is a must on a WC.

As for Chica, I like him. But just feel that WH are quite poor and will struggle to supply him with genuine chances. Chica is more of a poacher and therefore depends a lot on the service he'll get. So I'll wait a couple of more games to see his performance before getting him in my team.

Still struggling to decide on my strikers.

Firmino is definitely my third striker.
I want Kane in for sure after the Everton game.
Lacazette looks like the standout captain option this week and has 3 home fixtures in the next 4, BUT Morata is in great form for club and country, so picking between them is proving to be quite difficult.

Would going Morata / Lacazette / Firmino on WC be stupid?
Would leave money itb to get Kane in for one of Morata/Lacazette in week 5.
