I am in similar predicament and could do a similar (-8) to get in aguero but like you at eriksen cost.

Easy target. These are the people who put Gabbi in their team because he scored 5 goals in 10 games (or something like that) for Southampton once.

Lukaku, Kane, Aguero, Morata, Jesus, Firmino, Vardy, Lacazette are quality players who will get points. You have to decide whether the money savings which can be spent elsewhere justify going for the cheaper options over the dearer ones.

Do you feel you have the shape of the season yet? If so, and if there are maybe 6 other useful but less vital changes you'd make, then it's probably a valid wildcard.

I am tempted for the first time this season. But I just don't feel I have the shape of things yet. So far most of the players I have removed have done well afterwards - Jesus, Firmino, Yoshida for example. What is to say that I wouldn't do that again on wildcard? It's strange to say after 5 weeks but I don't feel I know enough yet.

City, for example, are a team I really need to get my head around. Jesus has averaged 66 minutes per game so far. Normally that would take an 10.5m player completely out of consideration. Aguero started 4 of 5 games. Can I captain a player where there is up to a 20% risk of a 1-point cameo? And can he be worth 11.4m if I can't captain him? Normally that would be a clear no as well. But maybe City will score so many goals that it changes all the rules.

There are so many things like that which I have to try to get to grips with right now. And I'm not pulling the wildcard trigger until I have.

It's not that hard. The £5.5m bracket is the only half decent one in midfield.

Sure, if gross, Atsu, Ritchie continue to outperform, you have only two pricey mids, and only one pricey defender.
