It’s now time for our weekly Sky Sports Focus article, where we look back at last weekend’s action, before preparing you for the incoming Gameweek.

We’ll examine the recent run of Man of the Match (MoTM) awards, the bonus point beneficiaries, transfer trends and Watchlist, before moving on to the Scout team and our future plans.

Gameweek 10 Man of the Match Awards

These were the players who caught the eye of the Sky Sports reporters and earned an extra five points as a result.

FixtureMoTM
Liverpool vs Man UnitedJoe Gomez
Man City vs StokeKevin De Bruyne
Burnley vs West HamSteven Defour
Spurs vs BournemouthAsmir Begovic
Swansea vs HuddersfieldTammy Abraham
Crystal Palace vs ChelseaWilfried Zaha
Watford vs ArsenalTom Cleverley
Brighton vs EvertonAnthony Knockaert
Southampton vs NewcastleManolo Gabbiadini
Leicester vs West BromMarc Albrighton

Kevin De Bruyne picked up his third award of the season and second in as many matches. The Belgian is in the form of his life right now and, despite playing in a deeper role, could still be worth the outlay at 11.5m.

The budget-friendly Tammy Abraham (8.6m) earned his second award and continues to look great value in Swansea City’s home matches.

Sky Sports favourite Wilfried Zaha returned from his early-season injury to lead the line for Crystal Palace against Chelsea and promptly delivered a goal and MoTM award. At 9.3m, he once again looks a tempting option ahead of an extended run of favourable fixtures for Palace, particularly if he remains in the central striker role.

Gameweek 10 Bonus Points

Let’s take a look at any player to earn 11 points or more in bonus for the season

members

Four Man City players make the top six positions, with Fernandinho now the game’s overall bonus leader.

Here I aim to highlight a few differential players with low ownership who I think could be good options for the coming six weeks.

Three specific price brackets will be used to cater for our available budgets.

Notes

And so concludes possibly my worst ever Gameweek in Sky Sports.

Only Harry Kane netted more than two points after obtaining shots on target bonus. That was made all the more painful by Eden Hazard, Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah all scoring a hatful of points in Europe midweek.

Last week I said It was a risk going without Man City players and ultimately that’s what punished me. I’m now scratching my head and wondering how I can fit one of them in.

David Silva or Raheem Sterling are my preferred options due to their cheaper price points in comparison to De Bruyne and the City forwards. But I don’t want to lose any of my aforementioned midfielders or either of the highest-owned players in the game, in Kane and Romelu Lukaku.

That leaves me with Jamie Vardy, who only just came in on Monday and is required for captain cover over the next few weeks. For now, then, I’m going to have to rely on Burnley to stifle the City attack. Terrifying.

Captain Plan
Fri 20th – Suttner (whm)
Sat 21st – Lukaku (hud)
Sun 22nd – Kane (LIV)

Should I captain morata or Kane?

That's tough. I'm playing Chris Wood this week myself hoping he gets a penalty. If Brady crosses to him that's fine.

Just made my move: Sanchez + Chalobah > Sterling + Zaha. Now I have a couple more decisions:

    1. Play Fabianski (LEI) or Elliot (CRY)?

    2. Captain Kane, Morata or Sterling?

Leaning towards Fabianski and Kane (Morata VC). What do you think?

Captain Morata or a City attacker

Shakespeare's sacking might produce a reaction from lei player . Remember them producing goals immediately after Ranieri sacking. So I would go for Elliot and that too against CRY.

Kane is against a leaky defence.
Morata against Watford who have been pretty good so far except against City. I dont see Chelsea becoming another City anytime soon.
Sterling is slight rotation risk having played a good amount of time in cl but I think he will definitely start. I would go for Kane.

Cheers. You've summed up my thoughts pretty well. I'm mostly worried about the stick people will give Kane captains on here if he flunks his chances again haha

Not convinced by Elliot over Fabianski yet though. Leicester players won't necessarily boost their performance, just because they've done it for Shakspeare in the past ...

Lukaku doesn't need help fluffing chances. He can do that all on his own. He does do better with Martial though, that's for sure. Rashford is like Sterling. When he has the ball I don't know where the hell he's going to go. Not good for teammates.

Anything worth a transfer? Already used 1 FT for DCL to Abraham:

    Elliott (Foster)
    Bavies/Alonso/Bellerin (Naughton/Mee)
    Atsu/EMCM/KDB/Salah (Carroll)
    Abraham/Kaku(C)/Kane

Only worry is only one City player and no Chelsea attack.

    1 FT, 0.0 ITB
