Sunday’s action gets underway at Goodison Park as Everton and Arsenal go head-to-head in the 1.30pm kick-off.

The Gunners seek a fifth clean sheet in six as they attempt to bounce back from last week’s late capitulation at Watford.

Arsene Wenger recalls both Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey, who both missed out through injury at Vicarage Road.

Sitting in just 2% of FPL squads, Sanchez has suffered a hugely underwhelming start to the season and has mustered just two assists, though both have arrived in his last two appearances.

Mesut Ozil is handed a first start since Gameweek 5, while Alexandre Lacazette is the most captained player for Sunday’s early encounter – over 143,000 have handed the Frenchman the armband, though all four of his league strikes have arrived at the Emirates so far.

Everton’s disastrous start to the season has ensured that most of us have steered well clear of their main men.

Gylfi Sigurdsson and Wayne Rooney remain their likeliest source of points, though Dominic Calvert-Lewin is worth monitoring as a budget frontman.

Priced at 5.0, the youngster starts for the fourth successive Gameweek and may yet prove a viable option if the Toffees can find their form ahead of clashes against Leicester, Watford, Palace, Southampton, West Ham and Huddersfield in the next six.

              8 years, 9 months ago

Dear god I have no idea what that makes mkhi then, weak on the ball, just as bad at shooting, way worse at passing and moving and keeping the ball

I've seen enough of mkhi to know his German league form will never be replicated here. He's just not got the bottle for it

        2. @persecuted_by_mods
          8 years, 9 months ago

/ how many times have you seen mkhitaryan play for man utd? I've seen every single game, he's woeful against any team that isn't dross and is usually average or below. Usually completely invisible in big games

Did well in the Europa though can admit

            8 years, 9 months ago

not his fault, its what Mourinho makes him do i.e all the defensive work. Put Mkhi in Ozil's position in that Arsenal line up and he would easily outperform Ozil

              • 12 Years

Defensive work doesn't mean you miss the obvious through balls. I do hope he gets his form back.

            2. @persecuted_by_mods
              8 years, 9 months ago

There's an argument for that I won't deny HOWEVER, it cannot take away from his abysmal performances, so he has to be defensive he forgets how to pass and hold onto the ball? Cop out, also against the weaker teams there is no bus parked and he's usually still tripe

              1. F4L

                8 years, 9 months ago

alright, I do agree Mkhi has been poor since around GW3. But a bad couple of months doesn't make him suddenly a bad player

                1. @persecuted_by_mods
                  8 years, 9 months ago

This is ignoring his form since before this season too, and tbh he wasn't exactly amazing in those games just happened to be playing for the better team and is decent enough to get a few assists. This dip in form to me isn't a dip, it's his normal level and has been since he joined

I'd love for him to prove me wrong but I'm 99% certain it won't happen

If Ozil had work rate, then.he is the best attacking midfielder in the world by miles.

      1. @persecuted_by_mods
        8 years, 9 months ago

His work rate isn't that bad I'm sure, it's just when he gives up or doesn't put himself into tackles that it seems like that

For distance covered he's usually ok, of course majority of runs attacking

        1. ZeBestee
          • 11 Years

What he doesnt do is track back and put those tackles. He doesnt play with a big heart at times but maybe its the way he is.

It's the system that is being played. Arsenal players don't stretch the defence because tho players behind Laca like to cut in rather than go wide.

Arsenal are actually playing wonderfully today, you can see the difference when the best players are in the team. But they have to be more clinical and stop trying to pass the ball into the net. I partially blame Mertesacker for the goal for passing to Xhaka in that area with 2 players on his back. The fact he's playing in a two man midfield in which his partner feels like he's a striker doesn't help his cause either. I know it's Ramsey's playing style, but why is he making these forward runs instead of the actual striker?

tbh I think its Everton making Arsenal look good . Same age problem for the Gunners, aren't clinical enough in the final third, always picking the wrong pass etc

No way I'm getting in a defender for attacking threat in future, only have Davies atm with any attacking threat but not gonna pay a premium for any defender , the attacking points are a complete lottery. You don't know who's likely to get them and if you, you don't know when. Smart play is to chase the clean sheets at bargain prices and let the attacking points come to you, if you have a Davies who marries all three elements together then lovely but otherwise, no.

Nope. I am a 343 man. Just moved Yoshida and Davies out. 🙂

The thing is, in a funny way, it is better to have a good score when one cocks up the captaincy(I do that frequently!) - it means your team is good.

Excellent work Doos. But Davies hasn't even played yet and I stated he was an exception to the rule, not the norm, of chasing clean sheets and letting the attacking points come to you.

sanchez is so selfish. wouldn't last long in Pep's team. too many quality players around for him to continue his 1 man circus show. no wonder barca sold him so with no hesitation

Going Kola instead of Monreal has been absolutely gutting so far this season.

Hope that's true. Would love to be able to keep Jones and use a transfer to get Clark out instead.

still have value in him and I can see them keeping some CS in tough games. Attacking potential as well.
        Rather lose Alonso IMHO

Chelsea looks bad without Kante. I got rid of Alonso on WC and happy with that. Maybe downgrade him and upgrade Vardy.
