Doosra... I know you prefer Coutinho to Salah. Would you mind telling me why? I will bring one or other in this week and on the stats I really can't separate them by much, if anything Salah might be slightly ahead (although it depends what period you look at).
There's little doubt (I think) that Coutinho is a better footballer. But is he clearly a better FPL asset? Any comments much appreciated in advance.
Salah is ahead - THIS WEEK - mostly, he's not.
Coutinho's on some corners. Salah is not a good shotmaker, however many he strikes, and unlike Sánchez, is not positionally good enough to make his shots count. That is why his shots are high, but his goals are where they are.
Also, Coutinho, like another midfielder I own, is preternaturally accurate. 🙂

I know very well how poor a finisher Salah is, I watched him play at Chelsea (though he has evidently improved a bit since then). But the volume of opportunities he gets kind of compensates I think.
I feel like Coutinho is the sophisticated pick. But this might be a time when it's better to go with crude effectiveness. 🙄
The fact that Salah may be on pens also helps his cause. FFS says he is but I won't be confident of that until I see it happen.

Depends whether you want the strongest possible 5 midfielders irrespective of the effect on the rest of the team, or the best midfield within an ideal balanced formation.
I am currently playing 3 in midfield (Sterling, Eriksen and Doucoure), but 4 would probably be better.
Spurs mid, Salah, Pedro/Sterling/Ramsey, Richarlison
Don't fancy a 5 man midfield since I kinda rate Kane + 2 of Aguero Morata Lukaku up front. Salah and Richarlison in midfield are nailed for me. Dilva/Eriksen + Gross/Moting for the 2 other spots looks fine
My wildcard midfield will be:
Salah, Silva, Choup, Gross, Richarlson
Actually unsure. Good selections tho.

Listen to the podcast every week, love it and the site, but not a regular poster or listener. Do have a question though and not sure where to write it so replying to this - why Mark’s insistence that if your have a pricey forward (Kane was his most recent example but he said it about Lukaku) it’s only worth it if you will back him with the captaincy every week. Surely can’t apply to all your forwards if have three big hitters. Mark talks a lot of sense, but never get this

I think Lowton or Tarko is better option from Burnley. Ward doest really deserves his extra 0.2M and Mee looks like a dropper, you might worry about your TV.
But my suggestion if youre looking for 4.5M defender, take a look at Moreno.
