Otamendi has been great, can't see a rusty Kompany going straight in for him. Kompany is not even that good anymore.

Defense looks poor all over. Get Azpi, Ottamendi and Jones. Been working for a while. And also have a look at Yoshida. Defenders offer the best value per £
Thanks. The defense is sort of average, but by design. I plan on taking a short-term punt on Sanchez and then being able to redistribute the funds when I downgrade him to Man U in week 12 and Chelsea in week 14. I appreciate the response.

Cheers. Yeah, I think the key to going with a cheap defense is making sure you don't also have a 4.0 non-playing one. If you have five that are reasonably solid, I think it can work. And, again, I plan on getting a Chelsea defender in GW14, so Azpi, Jones, and a rotation of three other guys in the 4.5 to 4.9 range at that point seems more than feasible. But I'll give it a closer look.
It's just that another poster (Jersey) planted a seed in my head yesterday about being able to captain Sanchez this week and I can't shake it loose 🙂
Yeah I think if you've got all playing defenders it's pretty easy if you're smart about rotation, especially if you're only playing 1 of 3. I'm playing 2 of 4 and coping just fine 🙂

It wasn't an issue last year, so I don't see why it would be an issue now.
I think too many people get obsessed with how deep players play when they are watching the games rather than just the highlights.
