Things are getting tense as the last four Gameweeks of Fantasy Eliteserien approaches. In this article I’ll take a look at team form among those with something still to play for.

In Form Teams

Rosenborg

It’s hard to look past Rosenborg at the moment. They are cruising through Eliteserien right now and will wrap up the title if they beat Stabæk at home this weekend.

I’d say it’s almost a must to have three Rosenborg players right now, as they face Stabæk, Aalesund, Viking and Odd in their last four games.

Watch out for some rotation if they wrap up the league title this weekend though, although they would still have to keep their players match fit for their Europa League games.

Bendtner, Helland, Adegbenro, Hedenstad and Hansen all good picks.

Strømsgodset

Strømsgodset have been flying for quite a while now. Five straight victories puts them at fourth place, chasing Sarpsborg at third.

They finish off the season with Sogndal, Haugesund, Brann and Aalesund, so there’s no reason to avoid them.

Andersen and Jradi are the prime attacking options, while Glesnes and Vilsvik are doing well at the back. Pedersen could also be worth a punt up front.

Vålerenga

We knew they probably could do okay in the double Gameweek, but who expected them to score 15 goals over the last three fixtures?

Is the output sustainable? No, I doubt it. Let’s remember they faced the two worst team in the league, as well as a Haugesund team not in the same form as earlier in the season.

Worth keeping your Vålerenga players? Most likely. Worth buying any? Not so sure, for me there are more exciting prospects to pick up for the last few games.

Juklerød and Grindheim have been the standout players.

Tromsø

Tromsø have won two out of the last three and have four victories in their last eight. They have definitely become a better team after the new manager arrived and I’d back them to stay up on current form.

With home fixtures against Viking and Haugesund, as well as an away fixture against Sogndal they could be a good differential for the last few weeks.

Lehne Olsen and Åsen stands out as the prime candidates.

Molde

Molde have been racking up wins lately as well, but they have not been playing at their best. There haven’t been any standout performers either in Fantasy terms. Defenders have had two clean sheets in a row but Sigurdarson has disappointed.

Kristiansund

Another team fighting to stay up. They would been almost secure if Gjertsen didn’t mess up in injury time last week. Gjertsen and Stokke are still good options for the reminder of the season, same with McDermott.

Out of Form Teams

I’m not going to do a detailed list of teams, but Viking and Aalesund are easily the worst teams right now. They also look like the most likely to go down.

Brann have been really bad lately with four losses in a row, although they did look better against Rosenborg.

Haugesund, Lillestrøm and Sandefjord are teams that have gone cold the last few weeks, while Sarpsborg certainly don’t have the same form as earlier in the season. That being said, Diatta is still very hot.

Double Haugesund too much. Haugen is easily involved if/when Brann score, on all set pieces etc. I’m also thinking of getting rid, but fixing other things first

Yeah - stuck with a load of legacy DGW players here too - nice big green arrows during the DGWs, but seriously feeling the pain now! At least it's almost over so not much more damage to my OR can be done 🙂

Forgot to mention Haugesund finish of the season with three home games in the last four. Not in the best form, but they are usually quite strong at home. I'm keeping both Bråtveit and Stølås, and starting both this week.

Keep Stokke, he's a good option. It's not like other strikers are firing either.

      Sold Haugen last week myself.

Thanks again for the interesting articles, I have had plenty of time to read all the posts this last week or so as I have been working away from home ( West Coast New Zealand) and has helped to fill my evenings whilst away from my family.
That is interesting regarding Stolas, I have him as first sub but not on the starting squad. Like you Bratveit starts in goal for me though.
Good luck for the rest of the season and thanks to all the posters on here. 🙂

Going big on Tromsø for the run in. Eya TIL!

Would like Juklerød but with my planned transfers I'm 0.1m off so might have to get another Vålerenga or Åsen.

Haven't got a Rosenborg midfielder, tempted to get one in for Haugen but it might have to be for a hit.

Viking are going to let a few of the younger players get some game time at the end of the season, not sure if that makes them better or worse though.

Tempted to bring in Lehne Olsen, but it would mean Ejuke on the bench.. Hmmm.

    1. MTPockets

Guys. Need some advice here on GK for this round.
    Got:
    Bråtveit-McDermott
    Stølås-Melgalvis-Hedenstad-Vilsvik-Olsen Solberg.

I'm gonna play 3 at back. With Melgalvis out, I will end up with Vilvik-Hedenstad-Stølås. Would you double up with Bråtveit or would you spread the risk and go for McDermott?
My biggest ML rival has Stølås but no McDermott/Bråtveit.

8pt hit after Bakenga got injured as soon as I got him in. Tromsø triple up. Lehne Olsen (K). Haugen out.

Benching Stokke so everyone else should probably captain him as he'll score 4.

Barmen playing OOP as a striker. I don't see any reason for Brann to move away from that in the coming rounds as all of their attacking options are available this GW.

Wormgoor on penalties as well. Two interesting options.

*sigh* Time to ask for help in the most unlikely of fantasy scenarios.... I've got 5.3 splashing around ITB, and can't for the life of me decide on where to spend it. Strømsgodset players might be an option, but I'm kinda getting a vibe for their next 2 games being hellish.....

My squad as it stands (probable trade OUT options marked with *):
    Bråtveit - McDermott
    Hedenstad-Skjerve*-Stølås-Gregersen-Jonatan Tollås
    Gjertsen-Adegbendro-Diatta-GamstPedersen-Grossmüller*
    Mortensen*-Bendtner-Sigurdarsson

    1. MTPockets
      8 years, 9 months ago

Hard to say. Of your * I'd keep Mortensen for vik/AAFK, soso about Skjerve, which leaves Grossmüller.

You already have a few decent picks. If not SIF then maybe a mid with 2 home fixtures for potential rotation. But Bra (Barmen), Mol (Aursnes) are the only ones I can think of, and not hugely appealing tbh. Or punt on VIF?
