The Gameweek finale falls on Turf Moor, for a Monday night encounter under the lights between Burnley and Newcastle United.

Fantasy interest is limited, in the main, to the defensive players on show. That’s a good thing scanning the statistics building up to this match.

Sean Dyche’s Clarets have scored the fewest home league goals this season, with just two efforts. But his defence have been typically miserly: only Liverpool and Manchester United have allowed fewer goals than the two conceded by Burnley.

Meanwhile, Newcastle arrive boasting just three away goals, only Everton and Crystal Palace have scored fewer.

Their goalkeeper, Rob Elliot, is the most owned player on show this evening. Now part of 26.4% of squads, the Magpies custodian trails only David De Gea (39.2%) in that respect. However, some 62% of Elliot’s 1.4 million owners keep him on the bench for Gameweek 10.

Stephen Ward has become the go-to option in the Burnley defence. The left-back is now owned by 14.7% of managers having already produced a goal and two assists this season, alongside three clean sheets.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Random question
If a player has to replace the keeper in goal (like Kane in 2015) and he somehow saves a penalty, does he get the points for saving a penalty or even the normal saves?

Probably, don't see why they can't.. Goalkeepers get points for scoring goals and assisting so why can't outfield players get points for saves + pen saves

Not sure though but interesting question

They can. The only outfield player I can remember saving a penalty was Niall Quinn.
Outfield players can also get save points.

You know the standard of the game when this is infinitely more interesting to think about.

I think they should but for devils avocado a mid doesn't get defender points when he has to drop back due to injury. Rubbish example I know.

I doubt it. When a striker plays in midfield or defense he doesn't get clean sheet points.

But if a keeper goes forward for a corner and scores he gets the goal points though 😉

The rules say that a goalkeeper get 1 point for every three saves, so I think you have to be classified as a goalkeeper to get save points.

It does however only say that a penalty save equals 5 points, nothing about ehich kind of player that can get the points.

Therefore I think an outfield player would get penalty save points but not save points

I need some advise. Looking for a way to get Kane back in my team...

Narrowed it down to the following options:

    A) Jesus + TAA ——> Kane + Mbemba/Mariappa (+0.1 itb)
    B) Jesus + Eriksen ——> Kane + Alli
    C) Jesus + Eriksen ——> Kane + Sane (+ 0.7 itb)
    D) Aguero ——> Kane (+ a lot itb)
    E) Jesus + Sterling ——> Kane + Gross/Richarlison (+ a lot itb)
    F) Jesus + Sterling ——> Kane + Pedro

    Team:

    Elliot (krul)
    Jones Gomez TAA* Naughton (Cameron)
    Eriksen* Salah Sterling* (RLC Caroll)
    Aguero* Jesus* Morata

    1 ft 1.9 itb

    Whatcha think guys?
