Whether it’s Pep’s rotation, Jonty’s runaway facial hair or a rogue horse in Andy’s front garden, the ScoutCast crew are decidedly spooked in this week’s Halloween episode.

Downed by a bout of Labyrinthitis – which is as nasty as it sounds – I’m forced to duck out as Jonty, Andy, Granville and Az run riot.

Your community questions help to keep them in check, forcing the quartet to once again assess City rotation, while giving views on Chelsea’s big-hitters, a Foxes revival and a slew of budget defenders.

Jonty rolls out his “ghouls imminent” table, while Andy unknowingly mocks my affliction from afar with back-to-back ear puns; in between they preview the weekend’s action to reveal their captain and transfer picks.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

The last international break of this year seems to be a bit different than the other two, no? Wouldn't you think that the teams already qualified for the World Cup won't be playing competitive matches, so their players are more safe. Then there are the round 2 qualifiers, 8 European teams have two extremely competitive and important matches during the break... Eriksen is one name that comes to mind, will play twice for Denmark. Then there's Ireland and Republic of Ireland in action...

What I'm saying is, the likes of Sane should be more safe than the likes of Eriksen... Thinking about the risks of early transfers here...

I’d say 2. Even over the busy Xmas schedule I think it’s more important to have bench options 1 and 2 stronger and a non-playing 3rd than 3 2pters. You should hardly ever need the 3rd sub.

This. I've 2 decent cheap nailed subs and 3rd spot is cheap as I can fodder.

          • 13 Years

Depends on your formation a bit I guess, but you only win 0.5m that way...

      2. My Name Is Prince
        • 13 Years
        8 years, 8 months ago

This season it seems a bit more important than others with City... But yeah, I actually agree 1 and 2 should be stronger, but is that doable in reality? Two 4.5m defs seems reasonable, there are no 4.0m playing defs and 4.5m defs are the best 4.5m players in the game... Then Carroll or RLC there and you actually have a full bench... If you swap your 4.5m def to a non-playing 4.0m def, you can upgrade your Carroll or RLC to a 5.0m mid, but there's no one there whose actually stronger than RLC or Carroll...

Thats a great point, and I have struggled so far to find anyone in 5 mil range, got Gross at 5.4, but thats almost a mil more than Carroll/RLC.....

            • 10 Years

You should always have one playing sub so you should have an extra playing sub for every obvious rotation risk (city players, Spurs wing backs)

Sané is my only obvious risk but I still aim to have a full playing bench by the end of the month.

So Just took a hit and did the following:

Alonso & Chuopo for Moreno & Alli.

    Gives me the below:

    (Pope) Elliot

    Jones Luiz Moreno Ward (Memba)

    Richarlison Alli Salah Sterling (RLC)

    Vardy Jesus Aguero

Which 3 defenders should I start?

    1)Luiz (MUN)
    2)Ward (sou)
    3)Jones (che)
    4)Moreno (whu)

You shouldn't have taken out choupo for this week bro. Anyway, start Luiz, Jones and Moreno.

I know, but as I didn't have Kane I thought I'd bring in Alli for cover!
