Gameweek 12 comes to its conclusion at the Amex Stadium this evening as Brighton entertain Stoke at 8pm.

For the hosts, Pascal Gross has been the standout asset in Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Sitting in over 19% of FPL squads, the playmaker has averaged 7.2 points per match (ppm) in front of his own fans – when on the pitch, he’s played a part in 83% of their home goals.

Four strikes in the Seagulls’ last three league outings have brought Glenn Murray (5.8) onto our radars as a potential budget frontman – over 112,000 acquired him for Gameweek 12.

Up against a defence that has conceded at least twice in six of their last eight, Murray is the most captained player for tonight’s encounter, handed the armband by 6,868 managers compared with Gross’ 3,904 backers.

The Potters’ two most popular players, Eric Choupo-Moting (5.8%) and Xherdan Shaqiri (5.3%), have struggled on their travels, with just an away assist between them (for the latter) in five road trips.

Yet the duo’s home form means that, overall, they’ve still averaged a decent 4.0 and 4.5 ppm respectively this season. And clashes with Palace and Swansea in the next three could warrant further attention for the midfield pair.

Brighton, though, have been fairly resilient at home – league leaders Manchester City, in a 2-0 win in Gameweek 1, are the only side to have scored more than one goal away to Chris Hughton’s men.

So Kane and Sterling the only players that didn't deliver...

Kane and Sterling -> Hazard and Wilson (-8) 😉

Anyone else tempted to downgrade Lukaku > Niasse if he doesn't haul v Brighton? His next 3 are then Watford away, Arsenal away, Man City home... is he likely to score well in those 3?

Swapping him for Niasse allows squad below, which I have to say I am rather tempted by all the different formation options:

    DDG, Elliott
    Alonso, Jones, Daniels, Moreno, Mee
    Salah, Pogba, Sterling, Richarlison, Groß
    Kane, Morata, Niasse

That is almost exactly my WC team from last week 😀 I have Azpi, Sane and Duffy instead of Alonso, Jones and Pogba but that was before Pogback 🙂

So obviously I'm going to say yes 😉

Nice - downgrading a big striker to Niasse allows such an improvement to the other 14 players

Yeah, for sure. It's a shame I didn't play him but then I wasn't going to play him over Kane or Sterling and everyone else got returns. Just hoping there's no ban now!

Haha, I wouldn't say a whipping! Could have gone either way. Mulled whether to save transfer or get Daniels or Lukaku all week. Buggered up the captaincy yet again but didn't realise Kane was as injured as he was.

      clear /klɪə/
      adjective
adjective: clear; comparative adjective: clearer; superlative adjective: clearest
example: when Choupo-Moting climbed high to head the ball towards Zouma, the assist potential was clear.

FPL can get heated as shown by tonight. When you see video proof that shows something so obvious, you can't help but question what the hell is going on? Is there foul-play here?

Those of you that are telling Choupo owners to "let it go", well, i'm sure you wouldn't be able to let it go if it was one of your own assets that could make or break a h2h tie, for example.

Mark has said that he may get HD video proof which he can put on the show. I'd welcome that and would applaud the transparency. If it shows the proof, i'd back down and apologise for getting so heated.

But if FPL, and their Twitter account, keep shoving these decisions under the rug, then it puts the game into disrepute. I love the game and just want a level-playing field. That's all I ask.

It is a good excuse because FPL discourages cash leagues, read the T&Cs

          11. The Premier League doesn't condone users charging for entry to leagues they have created, strongly encourages users not to join such leagues and cannot be held responsible for their management or any loss suffered through users' involvement in such leagues.

It was up for debate. The only time it shoots itself in the foot is when it awards assists to the wrong player like it did last year in a Swansea game when Neil Taylor got an assist when he was 60yards away. Tonight was not one of those occasions.

Maybe there's an opportunity here for Mark to add a segment to the weekly FPL show like "Look at What I Have to Deal With On a Daily Basis" -- people could come onto this site and make fools out of themselves turning grainy replay footage into vast conspiracies about a free game that gives them as much as they give it, and he could read some of the tastiest posts to the larger FPL audience who casually play the game and couldn't understand why someone would get so upset over a marginal, meaningless decision. Just a thought.

Those worrying about low ranks this early in the season, don't despair....marathon not a sprint.

I used my WC in GW8 when I had plummeted to 2.2m
Since then I've risen to 317k (per FFF GW live page)

And that's getting captains horrifically wrong last 2 weeks

I dont think Pep actually rotates based on last match minutes. He just goes with what he thinks gives him the most chance.

Are we really still asking these type of questions every week?

Is it worth bringing in Mee for Bailly before his price rise this week and potentially losing the united CS rather than Lowton next week? IS there that big of a difference between the two? (Only have enough for a 4.6)

Currently playing 343 with Vardy as third striker and RLC as my sub. Slightly losing patience with Vardy, so wondering which of these is the better option...

    A) Vardy and RLC (current - RLC benched most weeks)

    B) Niasse and Pogba (Niasse would be benched most weeks)

    C) Wilson and Ramsey (Wilson would rotate into the team with either Ramsey or Richarlison dropping out)

I have exact money for B. Think it'd be worth a 4 point hit, or worth hanging on to Vardy with his fixtures?

Did similar to B last night but did Abraham & Vardy > Niasse & Morata.
