Our regular post-Gameweek membersβ article, focusing on some of the most eye-catching numbers over the previous round of fixtures, is up next.
We scrutinise a number of premium midfielders as many Fantasy managers look to invest in the centre of the park, while Spurs and Chelseaβs frontmen are also under analysis ahead of some fine upcoming schedules.
Is Courtois a bad option from the Chelsea D? I know that Azpi/Alonso are the standout options, and for those that want to triple up with Morata,Haz, Azpi/Alonso there's just no room for the keeper, but If you wanna play 2 Chelsea defs (only 1 of Azpi/Alonso), than isn't he the preferred 2nd player from that line up? Surely more nailed than Christensen, who might get rested over the busiest of schedules and always worrying that a slip or 2 could see him lose his spot to Luiz.
Courtois is a great option if you don't mind for your gk to rarely get any BAPS. He won't be rotated and with Kante back CSs will keep on coming.
Forgot to add that most people might not want to double up, but might have funding issues - that's why maybe they'd need a cheaper option from the Chelsea back line.
Kun+TC+Dann —> C.Wilson+Pogba+Azpi
For (-4)
Worth it?
Yes
Why is everyone adamant Sterling will start this weekend? Hes started the last 3 games, hes due a dropping from Pep, does pep play players 4 on the bounce?!? Jesus Aguero Sane
Im a salty bitter kun owner who knows his fate this weekend
I'm a Kun owner too and BSilva Jesus Sane makes the most sense
Jones replacement? 1 FT, 0 ITB
A) for 5.2 or less (Mee?)
B) wait until next week - Jones + Richarlison -> 5.7 + Gross
C) keep for 2 transfer next week and reassess
Ps. other defenders - Moreno, Duffy, Daniels, Dann
A
Maguire
From gw14:
A. Hazard + 4.5df
B. Silva/pogba + alonso
A) Mustafi & Sterling
Or
B) Tarkowski & Sane
Will be playing both most GWs
Rest of the defence : Francis/Long/Azpiliqueta/Naughton
B!
How will you improve this team?
Krul Elliott
Kolasinac Jones Duffy Mee Hunemeier
Sane Salah Sterling Cork Carroll
Kane Lukaku Vardy
1 FT 0.8 itb
Want to get in Azpi for Jones but not enough Cash. Can downgrade Vardy but he seems to have a good fixture this week
How about Otamendi instead of Azpi? Or Christensen if you're set on Chelsea.
1) Azpi Moreno Mee
2) Christensen Ota Mee
Have Daniels already.
Other options?
Bottomed:
Speroni
Daniels Jones Moreno
Salah Sterling Fernandinho Richarlison
Kane Lukaku Aguero
Pope Mee Carroll Hunemeier
1 FT, 0 ITB
What to do here?
Or am I GTG for this week, and save FT (as I plan to bring in Morata or Hazard next week)?
Thanks
With Jones out, and a possibility of Moreno being dropped you need a nailed Def.
Not to forget you've sterling and Aguero, one of them might sit out.
Kun > Morata and use the funds to upgrade Hunemeier next week
Any news about Jones?
Really don't want to sell.. will lose 0.3 and a great defender
Thats it for Jones he's ridiculously injury prone he wont come back now fully fit for a while he'll miss games here and there, jose knows it, i think that's why he's so angry with southgate
All we know is that he’s definitely out v Brighton. Watford next week is an unknown. Can you bench him and take a -£0.1M ?
I have him since gw3
Selling value is 5.2
Will I lose value if he drops?
On the bench I have Mee and Gomez
How did Eriksen look yesterday from a fpl perspective? Worth transferring him out for Sane?
Go for it
Coming off a great week, I don’t feel so optimistic this week, however I like my team going forward. Any thoughts on what to do with this bunch?
1FT - 0.3ITB
Elliot (Pope)
Daniels Jones Mee (Moreno) (Dunk)
Salah Sane Choupo Gross (RLC)
Lukaku Kane Morata
Considering dropping Lukaku soon and using the funds to bring in Pogba and invest in back line.
Cheers!

Niasse apparently banned for two games!
Pope (Elliot)
Jones Moreno Ward(BUR) Duffy Naughton
Salah Hazard Sane Sterling (Romeu)
Kane Jesus (Quaner)
0.0 ITB 1FT
Should I get rid of Jones?
Save?
Suggestions?
Why was my previous post deleted?
Niasse appeal fails. 2 game ban stands.
hows niasse ban update? already buy him :'(
Banned for two games.
i think the new rule is great, but 2 games? harsh imo
In the past when players have appealed a charge and failed, it has often resulted in an increase in the initial length of the ban.
Incoming news, if real, isn't good.
yeah and he's first player charged by the new rules
oh my, just brought him in last gw and thought my punt worked for once π
ikrrrrrr
You had his goal last GW. At this price you can keep him on the bench.
How does this sound for this week?
Aguero and Carroll -> Wilson and Sane (-4)
Fabianski
Jones*, Ottamendi, Daniels
Silva, Richarlison, Salah, RLC
Aguero, Kane, Morata
Elliott; Carroll, Ward, Duffy
Good transfers.
Any news with Jones? Chances he starts this week or back next week? My defence isn't great already and really suffers without him.
Check the flag
Which pair do you think will score more points this week?
A. Vardy, Choupo-Moting
B. Wilson, Pogba
B
Full Conte quote: ‘In every game I have to try to make the best decision for the team and I think in this situation, Christensen deserves to play. Christensen is playing very well, but we have to play a lot of games – we play every three days – and I need all the players.’
Good value for 5.4, given that he looks first choice at the moment, but it still doesn't sound like that means Conte will start him every match, particularly now the games are coming thick and fast.
Could say the same for any player.
He's more likely to play back to back games than Cahill or Luiz IMO.
He could be referring to EFL Cup and Champions League matches where he plans to rotate and maybe use David Luiz.
Ye but that’s the case for all teams I reckon... Jensen why we need decent bench players during this period! I’m orchestrating Alonso into my team but if I wanted a Chelsea defender and had a budget I’d definitely go for him. He’s Chelseas phil Jones
Advice appreciated chaps! 1 FT, 0.3 in the bank:
De Gea
Daniels, Mee, JONES*
Sterling, Salah, Silva, Richarlison
Vardy, Morata, Kane
(Elliot, Cheek, Mariappa, Hegazi)
Was set on Sterling -> Pogba and then working towards Vardy, Silva, Cheek, Hegazi ---> Gross, Sane, Azpi, Quaner. But not sure what to do with Jones now...?
Cheers
Anyone looking to sell Jones i'd get on Otamendi. Stones lay off off for 6 weeks cements his alreay nailed spot, and city have 3 games where they could easily pick up 3 clean sheets. Otamendi could be gold over next 3 for his price
What about Walker?
Yes if you’ve got that much spare.
Thinking of doing Stones => Walker, only way to do it is to get rid of Kane
Not worth losing Kane for Walker.
By losing Kane, I can get: Salah, Walker, Azpi & Pogba/Ramsey in 3 GWs, worth it?
No. You can keep Kane and still get Salah, Pogba and Azpi. I have Kane and Salah. Gonna get Pogba next week. Have Kola, Davies and Otamendi.
Wow that's a solid team, have Lukaku Morata and Kane at the moment, looking to go 3-5-2 and invest in midfield.
Awesome front 3. Don't you want to lose Lukaku instead of Kane. Pogba will be your United cover. I think Kane will do well from now on. But I was wrong about him many times in the past. Up to you mate. Good luck!
Only reason holding me back is Lukaku's fixtures, he's a flat track bully and he'll surely score over the next few weeks. Such a difficult decision to make, all the best to you too!
Have 2ft, only wanna use 1 this week. What would you prioritise? 0.1itb
A) Sterling to Pogba
B) Jesus to Morata
C) Kane to Morata +reinvest next week (will probably give kane one more week)
D) Bring in Sane
E) Other
Concerned that Sterling and Jesus seem due to be rested but worried to have no city players.
My attack:
Hazard Salah Sterling Richarlison Groß
Kane Jesus
All comments greatly appreciated
Kane, Sterling -> Morata, Sané
Think D this week, then B next week, not planning on getting Lukaku?
Any thoughts on Pogba for the big United games? I'm happy to keep him the next 2 weeks, but not sure if he should go for Silva, Sterling etc when United hit the tougher few games?
Well it’s only 2 tough games and if you get city mids then they also have a tough one against a likely Jose bus. At £8.0M he’s an absolute bargain and think you can just hope for something in the city game. Arsenal match is expect him to return points. Fixtures after that are great and Jose will play him to death every game.
Keep Pogba. He will get more minutes than those City mids. In fact, he played 90 minutes in most games earlier in the season.
Who scores more this week:
A) Sane (hud)
B) Pogba (BRI)
C) Hazard (liv)
Cheers x
Expect all to score big... Sane probably but theres should not much in it. Do you have all 3?
Hazard, need to get rid to fund Naughton > alonso next week was hoping a consensus could form but you’re right
I wouldn’t be dropping Hazard personally.
Top 4 ideal kids right now IMO are:
Salah Hazard Pogba Sane
Plan on having them all but hazard so I can have Alonso π
You got Morata? Then probly ok ...
Yeah he’ll come in for Lukaku
A
A
Is Mustafi a nailed one? Or he can be rotated?
Would you want to have him in your squad, gents?
I'd want him over monreal. Would get him next gw
The other options in heir squad are tragic the clean sheet record with him shows how valuable he is I defitnely would consider/am considering him for Jones if he’s out for a while
Already get him..cheaper too
Vardy and Sterling -> Wilson and Pogba for a -4?
Probs not
No I’d want Vardy this GW
No
Aguero, Carroll > Wilson, Sané 2fts
Do Mbemba > Daniels -4 on top of that so I don't have to play Mee and Naughton?
Yes
Yes.
3-5-2
DDG / Fabianski
Mee, Otamendi, Azpi / Ward, Jones
Richarlison, Salah, Gross, Sane(c), Pogba
Aguero, Callum Wilson(v) / Abraham
Aguero > Morata for -4 hit?
Augero probably won’t play next match but then city has 2 home matches where he can score 10+ each. If you have Ft and don’t have anything else in mind could try Agu Morata and next week buy him back π
Sorry didn’t see it is for a hit - I wouldn’t do it. Just hope Kim will play some minutes and score. You also have Tammy and ward on bench so not that bad
You’ve gone for 1 premium striker... needs to be a nailed on option like Morata or Kane.
Think you should make a permanent switch to one or the other.
Yeah I'm really struggling with strikers atm. Trying to pick up the points from MF but will get another premium if I can.
Long term plans (next 2 weeks, providing prices don't change)
Swap:
Abraham > Niasse
Jones > Lowton
Richarlison > Hazard
Aguero > Morata
Would mean taking a 4 point hit each week though. Thoughts?
Sorry, leaves 0.1m itb at the end.
I wouldn't.
Not for a hit, think you're G2G
Ok guys please help, I have a few questions - actually a mini survey π
