The first of two Sunday fixtures gets underway at 1.30pm as Bournemouth and Southampton go head-to-head in the south coast derby.

Eddie Howe’s side seek a fourth clean sheet in five attempts, having kept out Newcastle, Huddersfield and Swansea in recent weeks.

That upturn in resilience bodes well for Fantasy Premier League owners of Charlie Daniels, who is the most owned player (13%) on show from today’s early kick-off.

Handed a place in our Gameweek 15 Scout Picks, the left-back was acquired by almost 40,000 new owners for this weekend. Five of his last seven league goals have been scored at the Vitality Stadium.

Up top, Callum Wilson is denied a fifth straight start, however, dropping to the bench as Howe shuffles his options and calls upon Jermain Defoe to lead the line.

For the Saints, Charlie Austin returns to the visitors’ XI after netting twice in his first start under Mauricio Pellegrino in last Sunday’s 4-1 win over Everton.

Utilised as a sub away to Man City in midweek, Austin’s upcoming schedule suggests he faces a tough task to play a part in our festive plans.

The Saints are braced for a testing winter period, with clashes against Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Man United in the next six rounds of fixtures.

And the same can be said for their hosts. After next weekend’s trip to Crystal Palace, Bournemouth square up against Man United, Liverpool and Man City in successive Gameweeks.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

As good as this is for my fantasy team I am actually really concerned that Sane is starting. Not necessary imo

I actually wanted to get Sane in for Hudds, but went down the Hazard and Morata route.

                Yeah they’re both solid options.

But a City are so strong going forward you have to make room for one of their forward options

Needs some game time before the derby. 🙂

Heard, Pep is letting a bunch which includes Sane and KDB for a mini vacation midweek before the Derby. KDB's expenses infact will be sponsored by the club.

It’s a fair rationale though given United - second in the table - are up next and they need Sane. Do they need Sane to win this? No.

      1. Bring the Cavalry
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 4 months ago

Sane out left makes a huge difference to city. Yes they would still win though due to West Ham being so bad.
But if you can’t trust your attacking winger to not pick up a yellow v West Ham it would be a bit ridiculous.

Surprised Pep is starting Sane. One yellow away from a ban and missing the derby + CL game midweek. West Ham at home the perfect opportunity to give B.Silva some game time - he's a pretty decent player

Transfers worked out well I guess

Jesus + Chalobah to Hazard(c) and Niasse

and you'd think going Niasse over DCL was a bad move but I only had 0.1 in the bank so I either had to take the gamble on Niasse or remove the possibility of being able to do Silva ➡ Sterling next week
