Our Gameweek line-ups may be decided in Fantasy Premier League but over in our partner game Yahoo, there is still time to build, tinker and win some cash.

Yahoo are offering a Premier League £3k Wednesday contest which takes in all of this evening’s fixtures and gets underway at 7.45pm.

The contest is guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a multi-entry game, which means you can select up to six teams. The top 173 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £10, with £300 going to the first place.

Driven by Opta data, the Yahoo game has a unique scoring system that’s tailor-made for those in our community on the lookout for a Daily Fantasy Sports game.

New players can sign up and claim a free £50 in credit to your account when you deposit just £5. Promo code: Fantasy50.

Before selecting your starting lineup, we recommend having a read of our Strategy Guide, as this gives you a better idea of the Yahoo game and the types of players who tend to benefit.

FFS Strongest XI

David de Gea – £16
Danny Rose – £15
Andrew Robertson – £13
Arthur Masuaku – £13
Philippe Coutinho – £25
Sadio Mane – £22
David Silva – £21
Michail Antonio – £16
Christian Atsu – £13
Harry Kane – £27
Charlie Austin – £18

David de Gea looks a secure starter for Manchester United’s home match with Bournemouth. Desperate to bounce back from their weekend loss to Man City, the Red Devils face an attack that’s scored just six times on their travels. That’s good news for the hosts’ defence, who, in spite of Sunday’s 2-1 reverse, have conceded just three times in front of their own fans so far. De Gea also benefits from the Yahoo scoring system, as goalkeepers earn double the number of points as defenders for a clean sheet, as well as points for wins or draws.

We’re backing Danny Rose to be unleashed at home to Brighton tonight, with Mauricio Pochettino perhaps more inclined to rest Ben Davies ahead of a weekend trip to the Etihad. Rose has supplied 21 crosses in just two league outings and has also chipped in with two shots from inside the box. Up against a defence that’s conceded 10 goals in their last five, he should be afforded license to raid forward down the left channel.

We hand West Ham’s Arthur Masuaku another call-up for a home encounter with Arsenal. Fielded as a left wing-back in the weekend win over Chelsea, the Frenchman has caught the eye in his four starts under David Moyes. From Gameweek 13-16, the all-action Masuaku is placed first for crosses (23) among the Hammers contingent and takes second spot for successful tackles (10), interceptions (six) and fouls won (five), highlighting his suitability to the Yahoo game.

With Alberto Moreno still sidelined through injured, Andrew Robertson seems set to retain his start as Liverpool entertain a West Brom side that’s yet to score under Alan Pardew. Over his respective last four league matches, the Scot has supplied 26 crosses – more than any team-mate – and also registered five attempts on goal and as many key passes.

After his brief stint as a sub in the Merseyside derby, Philippe Coutinho is poised for a return to the Liverpool teamsheet tonight. The Brazilian has been in devastating form of late, with four goals and three assists in his last two starts in all competitions. When on the pitch, Coutinho been involved in 60% of the Merseysiders’ goals – more than any team-mate – and also looks to have sealed spot-kick duties ahead of the home clash with West Brom.

We’re also turning to the Reds’ Sadio Mane after Jurgen Klopp’s revelation that he replaced Mohamed Salah against the Toffees due to a slight hamstring complaint. The Senegal international has served up three goals and an assist in his last three outings across all competitions and, like Coutinho, could run riot against a defence with a single clean sheet on their travels.

Having netted the opener in the weekend triumph at Old Trafford, David Silva’s performances on the road have been crucial to Man City’s title tilt. No team-mate has produced more shots on goal (19), efforts inside the box (14) or key passes (17) than the Spaniard away from home ahead of a trip to Swansea City. After Sunday’s derby victory, Pep Guardiola’s men will be confident of claiming fifteenth straight win this evening – only two sides, Stoke and Everton (with 38), have allowed more shots on target at home than the Swans (36).

We’re doubling up on West Ham against an Arsenal defence that’s managed just two of their seven clean sheets on the road. Handed the lone striker role against Chelsea on Saturday lunchtime, Michail Antonio’s pace and eye for goal is bound to cause the Gunners problems tonight. Despite being limited to 10 starts due to injury, the former Nottingham Forest man – who netted 17 times in the previous two seasons – leads the way for shots (20) and attempts on target (10) for the Hammers this term.

Eased back into action with minutes off the bench at the weekend, the fit-again Christian Atsu looks in line for a first start since Gameweek 11 as Newcastle entertain Everton. Priced at just £13 in Yahoo, the Ghana international could prove a canny budget enabler against the only side yet to keep a clean sheet on the road. Prior to being sidelined through injury, he ranked in the Magpies’ top three for shots (19), crosses (26), key passes (11) and fouls won (11).

Spurs’ home clash with Brighton ensures that Harry Kane retains his role in our Yahoo XI. A weekend brace against Stoke took his tally to five goals in his last four at Spurs’ temporary home as Kane finally ups his output. No player has produced more shots (52) or efforts inside the box (32) than Kane at home this season.

Four goals in three starts under Mauricio Pellegrino brings Charlie Austin into our line-up for a home encounter with Leicester. Only four players have managed more shots in the box than Austin’s 10 over their respective last four appearances, while he sits fourth for attempts on target (six). Up against a Foxes defence with a single clean sheet away from home, he looks value for money at just £18.

As Yahoo allows late swaps up until each kick-off, our listed line-up could be subject to change.

Wednesday’s Contests

The Premier League £3k Wednesday contest isn’t the only big-money game on offer to Yahoo managers this weekend.

They also have a Premier League £1k Wednesday contest on offer. This is also guaranteed to run, costs £5 to enter and is a single-entry game. The top 27 places pay out – there’s a minimum win-back of £20, with £150 going to the first place.

Yahoo are also running a Premier League £1,000,000 Perfect Lineup Cup, which takes place over Gameweek 1-19.

It’s free to enter, with £500 in prizes and £50 for the best team every week. Over the 19 Gameweeks, there’s £40k in prizes on offer, with £30k shared among the top 5,000 and £10k going to the winner.

The Yahoo Cup also has a “£1,000,000 challenge”, which gives away £1m to any user who selects the perfect line-up in any given Gameweek to score the maximum possible points.

You can open an account and get started immediately.

If you register and deposit £5 or more, Yahoo will also give you a £50 bonus to be used as cash to enter paid contests.

I went morata to firmno when I was originally going choupo to mane, I was fearful or getting a team out which turned out needless and matic would have come in instead. Good decision on paper but with choupos cameo I'll be crying if mane goes maneic (!) tonight. Morata run from here looks nice too, guess I'l bring in haz for choupo now which I can afford

    Current front three:

    Kane, Firmino, Niasse with 2.8itb.

    Best option:

    A) Firmino + Niasse to Morata and DCL
    B) Niasse to Rooney
    C) Firmino + Niasse to Lukaku and DCL
    D) Niasse to DCL.
