FFS Cup

The competition in our Fantasy Football Scout Cup contests is intensifying as we enter the final stages, with just 64 teams remaining in both.

The results from the fourth round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup went to form. The two top-ranked managers – FPL Poker Player in 179 and Elvarus (placed 111th) both earned wins to progress.

Added to that, our four former Cup winners – Mark, Ninja Fit Saints, Gribude and Sleepysi – also found passage into the next round. However, the latter needed to turn to his superior rank (23,302) to edge past MelvinMbabazi as they battled to an 81-point tie.

But something has to give in the next round with our draw creating a stand out head-to-head as Mark faces up to FPL Poker Player over Gameweek 20. In a classic battle of “KaneRemain” vs “KaneExit”, Mark will fancy his chances of a giant-killing of sorts if the Spurs striker can deliver as his captain.

Former FPL winner Tom Fenley remains in the mix with a fifth-round tie against Tap, while the current leader of the Fantasy Football Scout Moderators and Contributors Leauge, Az, will be the hot favourite in his tie with Ibralicious, who currently ranks some 163,000 places below him.

The results from the Fantasy Football Scout fourth round can be found here, while the draw for the fifth round – played out over Gameweek 20 – is here.

The Members Cup is also down to the final 64 with Mark also making progress here. He’ll face John Nerdelbaum in the next round after squeaking past Toffee777 by just four points. Mark is the final staff member remaining after Paul suffered a defeat to No pressure jose by a nine-point margin.

There are two remaining managers ranking inside the top 2000, with Falcon (1985th) and N@th (1965th) perhaps installed as favourites for the trophy. However, the latter now has a fifth-round tussle with MSalah – ranked 7055 – which looks tight and is arguably the tie of the round.

You can view the full results from the third round of Members Cup can be found here, while the draw for the fourth round – also played out over Gameweek 20 – is here.

    Fab/Elliot currently, 1FT, only 0.2m ITB.

Worth doing Fab to Adrian in readiness for DGW? Fab has some hard games coming up though, which could mean more save points.

No probs, we're all dyslexic up the hills;) Yes DCL not my favourite either but is affordable as a 3rd striker, more game time than Niasse and does score/assist quite regularly, which could be important with rotations

My god, there really is so few options to replace Austin with.

Depoitre is destined to fail but at least I'd get a price rise so I could sell for what I bought

People selling players like Niasse, Mbemba, Mariappa. These fringe players are very likely to get a starting slot this GW, and the second game in the DGW.

Save FT or bring in Adrian for Fabianski? I have Fabianski against Liverpool and Elliot against Manchester City this week. Elliot can fill in for Adrian during the blank.

Slightly worried though as Adrian and Elliot COULD lose their place, but they do seem like first choice right now.

None not even for Dgw and certainly not an the expensive of Ota cause I think you would need to shell out for Vert. Not many other will avoid rotation.

Not sure it's such a great WC team. Looks good for now, but Pope will lose his place at some point, Kenny too. And Pickford is surely a better option than Fab? It's fine for a month but I reckon it will need some proper work by mid-Jan.
