Distracted and torn by domestic duties, my appearance on this latest ScoutCast episode is limited to a 30-minute introduction, followed by closing cameo.

That’s just enough time to join Jonty, Andy and Az in revisiting the Gameweek 31 scenario and chip strategies that dominate your community questions.

While I’m away, the boys also consider the Gameweek 31 traps to decide whether we’re in danger of being distracted by the mediocrity on offer. The fate of premium-priced defenders is also discussed before they preview Gameweek 28, as I crash back in to make my late contribution.

    Tough decisions
    1) who would you get rid of between hazard or alonso? Two tough fixtures, good home fixture vs CPL then blank

    2) worth doing Gomez >> VVD..sideways transfer but no if Gomez will start in gw31 plus massive goal threat from VVD

    3) worth doing quaner >> Niasse? Also a sideways move as quaner has a game in gw31 but impossible to predcit whether he will start. But is Niasse def nailed on?

      1) Alonso goes first for me. Personally keeping hazard for the next three, in the hole of a haul in one of them (probably palace but you can never tell with him!)

      2 and 3, hold out as long as possible until you need to make the decision. Likely to have more info by that point

      2 - worth considering if you don't have any issues (I got VVD this week)

      2 is worth doing later.

      Hazard goal involvement is higher and cs unlikely, but the choice actually depends on the long term strategy and the who would be transferred in. Between those two it is a coin toss, but Hazard will probably outscore Alonso imo.

    I'm bringing in Vardy and Mane for Quaner and Hazard for my 2 FT's. To fund that I would need to take a -4 on:

    A- Firmino in for Aguero

    B- Hegazi in for Alonso

          Just put each player you are selling alongside the ones you are bringing in and compare them ‘like for like’

          Ota v Trippier
          Alonso v Davies
          Ramsey v Delofeu

          Fixtures are a consideration but just do Ota to Davies imho

    I guess I am the only one who get Karius and spent one of the L'pool slot to him.

    Looking to members team stats I am not convinced at all with Everton and WBA's defens performance to get either pickford or foster.

    I watched EVE - ARS game and EVE were pathetic defensively.

    For those who get Pickford, how many CS they expect in next 4 GW?

    I have literally just noticed Man City are not playing until Thursday! And it’s the cup final this weekend!

      Neither for me... you don't need such drastic changes. I'd get in Mahrez, his fixtures are great and should last until you need to WC

      Also I wouldn't waste the WC this week with the blanks and doubles coming up

    1)Aguero, Son->mahrez Kane for -4
    2)Aguero, ota/Alonso ->Kane, vvd/simpson for -4 (not sure about selling ota as i bought gim for 5.7)
    3)Depoite, Alonso/ ota-> firmino/ Vardy and robertson/Simpson for -4 (and play 3-4-3 with shaq as a sub)
    4) any other options?

      You have enough GW31 starters to bring in one or two who blank imo - Mahrez in the next few could potentially more than make up for the blank

    Anyone else think fplstatistics.co.uk has been shocking this season? Last season it was so accurate, this season I've made about 10 transfers based on price drops and not one of them has ended up dropping that night.
