Distracted and torn by domestic duties, my appearance on this latest ScoutCast episode is limited to a 30-minute introduction, followed by closing cameo.

That’s just enough time to join Jonty, Andy and Az in revisiting the Gameweek 31 scenario and chip strategies that dominate your community questions.

While I’m away, the boys also consider the Gameweek 31 traps to decide whether we’re in danger of being distracted by the mediocrity on offer. The fate of premium-priced defenders is also discussed before they preview Gameweek 28, as I crash back in to make my late contribution.

      A) for me, more attacking, frees up cash, could be rotation but he looks to have cemented his place. VVD also could be a rotation risk.

      B imo.. he is by far the most important piece in the defence.. already progressed in CL as is very unlikely to be rotated as Liverpool can't afford to lose points in the top 4 race.. not to mention his aerial threat as well..

        98.3 and delta about 660 perhaps when I checked. Maybe 2-3 hours before price changes. Jones was over 100% at the time so I sold him...

        Glad to have wc after bgw. And the positive is that I may need Ogbonna for gw 30 so keeping him now is easy.

        worth getting rid of sterling for -4 for either? currently on alonso/lingard --> VVD and mahrez/eriksen with 2 FT. would lose a lot of sterling value by selling him as well and not tempted to do so tbh.

        Frustratingly expensive, had considered Lloris in instead of Fab for Spurs cover but I'll get more value out of the cheaper keepers than I would the cheaper defenders

        Likely to be Kane for Ageuro next GW depending on results. Don't rate Kane to explode vs Palace and Kun has a great record vs Arsenal so thought I would give it a week.

          Fair statement but defence has also, thankfully, been helped by Robertson, Karius being more confident and Milner in front of them. Van Dijk's leadership and organisational abilities, which can't translate to FPL points, are as imporyant as his playing form to Liverpool.
