As one of just six sides expected to be granted a pair of fixtures in both Gameweek 34 and 37, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) interest in Leicester City has reached a new high.

Understandably, Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy are the main targets among Claude Puel’s regulars as managers wield their Wildcards, with faith in their defence dented by a run of six Gameweeks without a clean sheet.

One look at the remaining schedule (bha NEW bur & SOT blank cry WHU tot), though, looks promising for points at both ends of the pitch.

Indeed, the Foxes’ next six opponents all sit outside the top six, with a home encounter against Arsenal expected to drop into the penultimate round of fixtures.

With two goals and four assists to his name, Harry Maguire appears to be the standout contender among the Leicester backline. Yet at a lofty 5.6 in FPL, does he justify the extra outlay over his budget-friendly, defensive team-mates?

In our next Monitor members’ article on Wildcard targets ahead of Saturday’s Gameweek 32 deadline, we look to the Opta data for answers.

This weekend is the most I’ve looked forward to an FPL weekend in a long time. Wildcard activated following a dreary international break and my mini league is incredibly tight heading into run in.

    Bring it on!

      Very similar here

22 point lead on main rival but he has TC in hand. Both us on WC. this is where it gets interesting

Triple captain is very hit and miss. The likelihood is you may captain whoever they triple up on so hopefully minimal impact.

Blew my triple captain on Kane.

Me too can’t wait for it!

Chasing a 33 point lead in my main ML. My rival has blown his FH and hasn’t wildcarded this week. I have all my chips and on wildcard. Can’t get better than this!!

Sounds positive for you. Good luck!

I think the way the Premier League has rescheduled the fixtures is giving a big advantage to people who still have free hit. I wouldn’t enjoy negotiating 34 to 37 without it.

In my league there are 60 odd points separating the top 4. I’m about 35 off top in 3rd but the guy who leads has used free hit, bench boost and wildcard already so he’s going to toil to hold on I think.

OK, I'm not entirely happy with this WC so any advice appreciated.

    DDG, Ryan.
    Alonso, Lowton, Tarkowski, Morgan, Dunk.
    Salah, Mahrez, Son, WIllian, Gross.
    Aubameyang, Vardy, Barnes

Midfield is perfect. As good as Alonso could be, he looks to be the problem for the rest of your defence. It’s a big gamble. Personally I’d choose Vertonghen and Smalling over Alonso and Dunk.

Soton and stoke at home in the next 3 and game in blank gw. Also could keep him for dgw37, whu will fight for their lives and he is nailed to play 90min every game

Set on a Chelsea MID/DEF double up, but stuck between the following:

    1) Alonso/Willian
    2) Christensen/Hazard

Prefer Hazard's explosive nature, but I'd kick myself for every Alonso goal.

Don't over-think it. The logical choice is 1 by a mile. Willian is playing too well to leave out (was excellent for Brazil too, by all accounts) and could easily keep up with a disaffected Hazard, whose World Cup place is assured regardless. And Christ is so obviously not going to play every PL game between now and the end, 'offical injury' or otherwise.

      I'be put more money into my front 8 to maximise Arsenal's GW32 & 33.

      GK: Pope & Ryan
Def: Smalling, Tarkowski, Simpson, Lowton & Duffy
Mid: Mahrez, Willian, Mkhitaryan***, Salah & Kenedy***
      Fwd: Lukaku, Vardy & Auba***

***Kenedy, Mkhitaryan & Auba will be swapped out for DGW34 with the main aim of getting all DGW players in.

Like the Kenedy pick. I think he will do well the next few weeks. Not on WC I suppose, coz Pope could be a concern. Heaton played 4 games for the U23's so could reclaim his spot.

    Baines TAA Alonso
    Walcott Shaqiri Eriksen Salah
    Aubamayang Firmino Deeney

    Elliot VLP Ake Schindler

    2.2m ITB, 0 FT

Safe to do Walcott > Mahrez tonight for -4 Or get rid of shitty VLP instead?

Nailed on striker with a game in 35. On penalties.

    BOU, BUR, hud, CRY

    Troy Deeney 6.3

(cue - "but he doesn't have a double gameweek in 34")

That looks good. But Murray has decent games too and a double.

"But I don't have to worry about GW35"

That has a better ring to it 😉

      Too expensive for BB34 squads.

        Fair point - a shoe-in for me as FH34, BB37 though.

    DDG / Ryan
    Alonso / X / X / Lowton / Morgan
    Salah / Mahrez / Son / Willian / X
    Aubameyang / Firmino / Vardy

    A) Valencia / Tarkowski / L. Cook
    B) Bailly / Mustafi / L. Cook
    C) Smalling / Vertonghen / L. Cook

The problem with all of these is simply: Who do I downgrade for Lukaku?

Unless the answer is Firmino, A = Valencia > Cheaper United defence (once we know more?... still unlikely to be helpful); Mustafi but is Bailly nailed; C... well no point in keeping Vertonghen just to sell for GW34.

    Thoughts?

Keep your front three as it is.
      Firmino should outscore Lukaku

If you want Lukaku in for GW34, your best getting him in from GW32 to maximise his potential scores.

I have KDB but ill be taking him out next week. Not nailed on after they win the league against United next week.

I'm bringing in Sterling - think there is value whilst everyone is selling.

Think they'll be doing everything they can to seal the title against United.

FH34 - so I have him for Everton, United and Swansea. If he is rotated a bit, I have decent cover.

Will probably sell for Son in 36.

GW 34 is hacking me off.

I've currently got Auba & Alonso on my WC.

If I keep 2 FT's back, I can get Kane but I'd have to downgrade Alonso to a 5.2 Defender. There doesn't look any decent ones around so am I better off keeping Auba for GW 34 or try & accommodate Lukaku?

If you have wc then it isnt a issue. Alonso Lukaku De gea ahould be first names on list. Then build team around them. Keep 5th mid or 4th defender expensive so can upgrade lukaku to kane with just 2 moves when need be

apart from any leic defender and lowton, any 4.4 or less defender worth considering for wc, thanks a lot 🙂
