The first of a rapid-fire pair of Double Gameweeks is now finally upon us, and brings with it an opportunity for diligent managers to make up considerable ground upon less-prepared rivals.

The four extra fixtures also offer the opportunity to deploy one of their potentially game-changing chips, with many now stuffing their benches with Double Gameweek assets ahead of a weekend Bench Boost.

With this in mind, this week’s Technical Area is dedicated to identifying the ultimate Gameweek 34 Bench Boost side, as recommended by Fantasy Football Scout’s own Rate My Team (RMT) tool.

In addition, we also sprinkle in some standalone statistical and eye-test observations of recent form for the key assets involved.

        That is the plan.. Thanks, but Harry looks so keen. I'm also worried about Man U approach to Bournemouth game 3 days before cup semi final. Also, now that Liverpool will concentrate on CL, a 2nd place for united looks likely so may rest players for Bournemouth game

        Probably best option but will require a 8 point hit and will also upset the overall balance of squad (I'm using BB.

      Kane more explosive and better player.
      Lukaku better fixtures.

      Depends what you want. I'd expect them both to score decent points - Kane definitely has the higher potential.

      I'm going all out with a Kane captaincy this week and will be TC him in 37. That won't suit every manager here though - I'm chasing (having a terrible season) so need to get as many points as possible wherever I can find them.

      Sanchez is always an option in midfield for a similar price to Lukaku.

      Depends what rest of your team is like, what you want from this GW and the next, where you are in MLs etc... hard to advise with limited info.

      And aren't you meant to be dead? Hm.

        Gut feeling is lukaku for better fixtures but worry about mini league rivals with Kane.

      Lukaku - Playing WBA at home - a manger-less team who have other issues ongoing and BOU - not getting relegated/not making Europe

      Kane - Playing against Man City - looking to prove a point /Brighton some fight needed to secure pre status.

        Yes, it's sound advice. That is my gut feeling and the logic I've been using. Main concern is mini league rivals... I'm currently on top but only a very slight advantage..

        it's one of the toughest decisions I remember in FPL as implications can be huge of getting it wrong.

          Yeah, similar here but in an opposite role - I'm catching up and top guy has Kane. This will be a pivotal week in a lot of ML. Good luck......especially if you choose Lukaku!

          No problem! Only thing about the team is RLC but you'll likely lose out on 2 points vs other BB no big deal though with about of big hitters!

    Thoughts.
    Swap sanchez for pogba. Which would let me get vardy instead of barnes to go with kane and kaku. Sounds a bit top heavy.
    Also still massively undecided between alli or mahrez

      I'm very similar - Sanchez and Austin vs Pogba and Vardy.

      Probably will go with S+A though, as I'll have Mahrez already.

      Everyone saying Sanchez is the much better pick - but the stats don't necessarily agree.... But Sanchez's 3% ownership is appealing to me....
