The first of four remaining Double Gameweek 34 fixtures gets underway at 7.45pm as Brighton welcome Spurs to the Amex Stadium.

After a hugely underwhelming start to his pair of fixtures in Saturday’s home loss to Man City, Harry Kane has the chance to atone against a Seagulls’ defence without a clean sheet in their last 12 attempts.

The Spurs striker was second only to Mohamed Salah by the narrowest of margins (18.28% vs 18.32%) for the armband, while over 71,000+ have played their Triple Captain chip as he looks to chase down the Liverpool winger in the race for the Golden Boot.

Kane starts this evening along with Christian Eriksen, while Son Heung-min returns to the teamsheet after featuring off the bench at the weekend.

Boasting a 17% ownership, the South Korean has four goals and an assist in his last four league starts. Along with another of tonight’s starters, Serge Aurier, he was on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win at Wembley when the two sides last met in Gameweek 17.

But Dele Alli owners are left with just a two-point haul from Double Gameweek 34, as the midfielder is left out altogether ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Man United.

Lucas Moura earns a rare start for the visitors out wide, as does Toby Alderweireld in defence, with Davinson Sanchez the man to make way.

They’ll look to rein in the Seagulls’ Glenn Murray, who was on the scoresheet in Saturday’s loss at Crystal Palace.

The veteran is in fine form in front of his own fans, firing five goals in his last six starts at the Amex Stadium.

Which duo would you consider for next gw + the double

    A: Ederson + Sterling
    B: Jesus + Sterling

First choice would give me two playing GK's at the double.

    FH35 question:

    A) Salah Sterling Sane Mane Mili
    Auba Firmino Jesus

    B) Salah Sterling Sane Mane Zaha
    Auba Firmino 4.5FWD

    C) Salah Sterling Sane Zaha (bench Mili) + 2.5 more to use
    Auba Firmino Jesus

Is it likely that Wenger wants to test (or keep in shape) the full Atletico team against West Ham given there are 4 days in between two games with no travel? Which would mean Auba being dropped then.

Auba will have 60mins. Welbeck is on form and fire, Laca needs gametime to be fresh and the duo will lead the attack so Wenger will try to have both at the pitch for synergy.

      1. Runaway
        • 14 Years
        8 years, 3 months ago

That's actually what i am afraid of. Even if he starts, at some point Wenger may want to play Wellbeck and Laca together.

      2. MrZ

Many seems to forget that this is London derby.
This may turn to be a rough match, & if I'm wenger i wouldn't risk my available players to get injured before vs atletico.

        Auba nailed for me

    9. FplBerg
      • 16 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

Can see the logic, but think Aub is as nailed as can be. He's said he's frustrated about not playing in Europe - excluding him from the only other competition Arsenal are in could be pretty destructive for Arsenal, and he's also arguably their best player right now.

I'll be captaining him or Salah, subject to team news.

    1. ajones1608

Probably both unlikely imo. I think he will want to give Stones & Laporte more game time as they are the future, David Silva could be given a rest for some games but it's a risk

Think I need to stop reading the transfer gossip sections!

When you see they are are saying players like Maddison of Norwich is a transfer target worth £25m and Grealish of Aston Villa £20m. Crazy.

    1. ajones1608
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

Grealish worth atleast 20m imo. He is way better than the Ox was when he signed for Liverpool and he went for 35m

      1. The Rock
        • 17 Years

Ox was a proven premier league and international player for a number of years though.

Grealish is 22 and still hasn't even won a cap for England.

    2. ajones1608
      • 9 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

No cap for England hardly means much though, Sessegnon and Grealish are better then a lot of players in the squad, they just won't get picked because they are in the championship

      1. The Rock
        • 17 Years
        8 years, 3 months ago

Sessegnon is only 17 which is why he hasn't been selected for the International senior team yet, not because he plays in the Championship in my opinion. No doubt his cap isn't too far away though. Grealish is 5 years older and still no cap.

    Morning guys
Would love some strategical help. I have both BB and TC chips left. Current team going into GW35 is:

    Karius (Fab)
    Mustafi Kompany (Maguire Daniels Dunk)
    Mane Salah Sterling Walcott Zaha
    Auba (Vardy Wilson)

I have 9 players out for GW35, if all play, and have one mind on BB37. I also am considering TC chip and when to play. I want to get rid of one of the liverpool mids, walcott and zaha eventually, and prioritise Kane, Jesus moving forward. But chips? When and where to play them?

    Cheers for any advice

    1. Goalosaurus
      • 8 Years
      8 years, 3 months ago

I lot to think about which I'm struggling with so will focus on TC.

If BB 37, you've only got 35, 36, and 38 to choose from. Out of those, weighing up the options and potential risks of rotation end of season I would consider going with Sterling or Salah (if leaked news says he plays) TC this week.

Although I thought Kane TC in GW 22 was a good idea and that didn't work out so well.

        Cheers goal.
Thanks for it - yes, I have a good idea of what I would like to get in GW37, but it involves 7 more changes. This would obviously be a -16 taking into account the three free changes!

Will hope for some Salah news early doors!

Gross to Lingard (-4) not my greatest move. Would have been on 87 instead of 76 (-4)

Big game needed from J-Lingz tonight. Will be interesting to see the United line up given everything Mourinho has said. Will probably end up being the same as normal 🙂

Repost to get some other opinions

Here's some quick analysis I've done on popular captaincy picks.

    Assumptions:
6 points or more seen as "acceptable" minimum returns for a captaincy choice.
10 points or more (double digits) is considered a success.

    Sterling:
    28 matches played
    17 matches with a score >= 6 (acceptable) - 61% of matches
8 of the "acceptable" matches had a score >= 10 (successful) - 47% of the "acceptable" returns were "sucessful" (97 points total)

    Salah:
    32 matches played
    23 matches with a score >= 6 (acceptable) - 72% of matches
14 of the "acceptable" matches had a score >= 10 (successful) - 61% of the "acceptable" returns were "sucessful" (189 points total)

    Kane:
    33 matches played
    14 matches with a score >= 6 (acceptable) - 42% of matches
8 of the "acceptable" matches had a score >= 10 (successful) - 57% of the "acceptable" returns were "sucessful" (114 points total)

Take this how you will 🙂

I think my season effectively comes down to tonight's game.

My 3 rivals have Lukaku captain with my main rival giving him the TC. They also have one of Sanchez and/or Lingard as well.

The 3 of them have no MU DF cover. I have DDG and Smalling. Needless to say a 0-0 would be an ideal result.

So far I have 87 points this GW playing my BB with 9 players to go and managed to claw back 40 points on my main rival who has Kaku TC tonight. It all comes down to tonight's game.....and we're live 😉

That is asking for trouble. I'm more interested to see if the scout go with their respective choices for the scout squad or will they have a few tricks up their sleeves, especially regarding defensive picks as I imagine the majority of front 7 will have the same 10 maybe 12 players so there won't be much variety in attack

    How’s this FH looking?

    Cech
    Walker, Robertson, Baines
    Salah, KDB, Arnautovic, Zaha
    Auba, Jesus(c), tosun

    (Pickford, Milli, Kiko, Lowton)

Would you rather have Auba or Hazard +4 points from 36 onwards?

FH chip: Correct me if I'm wrong - as far as I'm aware if you have 1 FT it does not roll over to next week, so it would be wise to make your FT before you activate the FH chip?

doesn't roll over, does not count as a free transfer, EVERY transfer you make in the free it week will be reversed at next dead line no matter when you press the button

All transfers made that week are considered as part of the FH. So even if you make a transfer first and then activate FH, your team will reset to the team before you made the first transfer.

Eg: You sell Lukaku for Auba and then activate FH, the Lukaku to Auba transfer will be considered a part of the FH and you will get Lukaku back in your team next week.

There is no way you can prevent this, so you technically do lose a transfer when you play FH.
