The curtailed Gameweek 35 concludes at Goodison Park tonight as Everton host Newcastle United in a fixture that has all the makings of a dead rubber.

The two teams are now surely safe from the threat of relegation and appear to be playing for Premier League prize money only over the remaining matches.

But from a Fantasy perspective, there is still interest in the Merseyside clash, with Free Hit managers investing in the likes of Jordan Pickford, Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman in their one-week refresh.

All start for the home side tonight.

Meanwhile, those without the chip at their disposal, likely take Magpies assets into this match, with Ayoze Perez, Kenedy and budget defender Paul Dummett among the most likely to feature in squads.

Indeed, Perez is the most signed player on show tonight, having commanded over 133,000+ transfers in ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

That follows a rich vein of form from the Spaniard which has produced three goals and three two assists from his last three Gameweek starts.

Perez sits behind Islam Slimani in the attack tonight, with the Algerian starting a Premier League match for Newcastle for the first time since his loan move from Leicester City.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

How on earth did Keane get away without a second yellow when Gayle beat him to it? Very lucky.

Kenedy didn't use any force but he had hands on the face of an opponent as well.

Think ref got it right or he was weak?

            • 10 Years

Because I don't like the chips that much, and this would restrict their use so that we can go back to choosing the FPL players we think are the best. At the moment, the chip strategy people use (which is often chosen fairly arbitrarily, or people copying others) can greatly determine the players we pick. If we can limit the effect of the strategy, we can allow each manager to employ their own strategies using the FTs and reacting to football games and news, not having to stick to the (chip) plan.

That is too restrictive. It should be as-is. Use it when you want, and reap rewards or suffer consequences if choice is good or bad. (why would you direct folks?).

This. Without the FH chip, people can choose to prepare for blanks or not (or something in between). There's a division of basically 2 strategies, and a continuum between them, which is already a step away from simply choosing the best players based on who you like for the set fixtures ahead. That's not too bad, though.

I also don't mind the idea of introducing a FH chip to counter this so we level the playing field again.

What I don't like is the FH as it is, which stifles creativity, as MGPT says here: https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2018/03/08/scout-notes-spurs-out-city-through/?hc_page=5#hc_comment_17772850

Everyone just comes here and copies everyone else. It's lame as balls. We are all spoonfed.

Yeah for sure especially when you can pay for the information!

I'd like one captain, one wildcard and an independent bap reviewer. At most, one chip.

I did far better back in the day figuring out players and teams myself. Rank history proves it.

Hell of a lot easier these days. Just pick top 5 form the watch list. Job done.

76 or 77 all out is a huge success for me! GW35 definitely won out over 31 for the FH chip in my case, although that doesn’t take into account the points I lost carrying utter tripe for weeks leading up into 31. Ironically people like Walcott :p

It could have been spectacularly more but a GW 32/33 WC setting up DGW34 and DGW37, GW35 FH definitely won. There will be better/worse stories around when and who we TC or BB - yet to be settled until GW37... and the ditch or keep Salah/ManC etc but generally a good outcome based on sound strategy thus far.

I am not so sure to be honest. My rival played FH31 and picked up Van Aanholt (7) Stanislas (10) Tosun (13) etc. and beat me by 21 points.

I played mine this week and scored exactly 21 points more than he did.

Really depends on the players you picked. If you had gone Mane and Ozil and Sane this week for example, it could still have been a fail, etc.

I’m participating in two H2H leagues. In the first one, I’ve got a fixture next GW while in the second one — I haven’t got any. The second league contains more players.

Is there a chance a bit larger league to finish not by Top4 but Top8?
