The curtailed Gameweek 35 concludes at Goodison Park tonight as Everton host Newcastle United in a fixture that has all the makings of a dead rubber.

The two teams are now surely safe from the threat of relegation and appear to be playing for Premier League prize money only over the remaining matches.

But from a Fantasy perspective, there is still interest in the Merseyside clash, with Free Hit managers investing in the likes of Jordan Pickford, Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman in their one-week refresh.

All start for the home side tonight.

Meanwhile, those without the chip at their disposal, likely take Magpies assets into this match, with Ayoze Perez, Kenedy and budget defender Paul Dummett among the most likely to feature in squads.

Indeed, Perez is the most signed player on show tonight, having commanded over 133,000+ transfers in ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

That follows a rich vein of form from the Spaniard which has produced three goals and three two assists from his last three Gameweek starts.

Perez sits behind Islam Slimani in the attack tonight, with the Algerian starting a Premier League match for Newcastle for the first time since his loan move from Leicester City.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Decided it was worth the 8pt hit/ punt (Kaku, Willian, Alonso > Jesus, Sterling, Smalling) as I’m chasing in my ML and I’m happy enough with the decision! Here’s my team for next week

    DDG
    Vert, Smalling, Lowton
    Sterling, Salah, Eriksen, Son, Mili
    Jesus, Vardy

    (Ryan) (Barnes, Morgan, Mustafi)

Think I’ll have a “who to captain” headache later in the week though!

City midfielders worth the risk for the run in?

Reminds me a bit of the start of the season where we were constantly worried about rotation but went risk/reward and ended up loading with 2 midfielders minimum.

Looking at Sterling in for Mahrez (-4) and even missing 1 game might not make a difference as he/they are so explosive they will still blow teams away and bring in double digit hauls.

Consider then don’t. I’d rather Gross despite his awful fixtures due to nailed and pens.

I'm keeping on the grounds that the only real alternative is Gross - with Lingard, you're getting an attacking mid from the second best side in the league for 6 mil, and he's likely to start the majority of games.

I want to save a FT this week but with this defence, is it madness?

    Bailly Lowton Long Morgan Alonso

Bailly - > Verthongen has to be done really doesn't it?

      8 years, 3 months ago

      You can survive.

Having 2ft ahead of the doubles would be lovely. Shame I won’t have that.

Morgan, bailly and Lowton will be fine and Long is a good enough sub if Bailly doesn’t start.

So few CS around right now and seriously I know I’ve said it before but Alonso for 37 could be a thing of beauty.

I'm thinking of keeping Alonso, it's more Bailly that I need to get rid of

Sorry I totally read that wrong.

Well you could hold and hope he starts. Even one game in the double would be nicer than a -4 potentially especially if then Vert is benched.

I think this time of year try and avoid defensive transfers if possible. It’s more than acceptable, but not ideal.

Even those on WC struggling to find good defenders !

But my ML rival likely will do Mahrez -> Sterling, so still cant decide what to do.

I might need to sell him and he might not play both in DGW. But I really have more important issues. I need to get in Kane and 3 city players so I can't afford one more hit to sell Alonso even if he does play only one. If he sits it out through entire DGW I'll just have Lowton I guess.

        Plan is: GW 36: Lukaku+Bailly--->Kane+Yedlin(-4). GW 37: Vardy, Mahrez, Salah--->Jesus, Sterling, Silva(-8).

i'm not selling Alonso. bench this week, i think he plays both in 37.

a bit nervous with no City mid -- if Salah is confirmed on the bench in a reliable leaked lineup, i would
swap him out for Sane or Sterling.

      1. Abusive_Sgt_Daelrhos
        • 12 Years

I'm doing Bailly and Lukaku to Kane and Yedlin this week, and I'll do that for -8 too if Salah is out. I would make that move for gw 37 for a hit too so yea. Why are u so sure Alonso will play both? That's my opinion too.
