The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season might be drawing to a close, but arguably the most important Gameweek still remains on the docket.

With 16 fixtures – more than any other Gameweek this season – scheduled across six days of football, Double Gameweek 37 promises managers their best opportunity to climb the rankings.

Moreover, with five of the league’s top six sides in possession of two fixtures, a wide range of premium options find themselves vying for our attention.

Doubling the importance of this Gameweek is the high number of managers who retain one of the game’s two highest-yield chips for use across these fixtures.

Those who have resisted the urge to spend either the Triple Captain or Bench Boost chip before this weekend will find themselves spoiled for choice, with a plethora of captaincy picks and budget bench options at their disposal.

With this in mind, this week’s second article for members will be using our expected goals and goals conceded data to break down the fixtures of this upcoming Gameweek to identify sides – and players – who look best placed to prosper.

He really was. Came into a soho pub mid afternoon and said "is this where the party is?" to the barman. And then said "clearly not" and left.

Neither Atletico nor Arsenal look worthy of playing in the CL, based on these two performances so far

Arsenal IMO. A front four of Ozil, Auba, Ramsey and Laca would be very good. If only their new manager would sort out their defence and find a defensive midfielder...

Big decision to be made by the Board as to whether they try to continue is experiment of building a Barcelona style team or be more pragmatic.

            Thanks for your response 🙂

I meant: where should the CL slot be won if not the winners of the EL?

I'd love to see Arsenal get some strength and courage in their team. A move for Zaha and RLC would likely fail, but those are two of my favourites to target atm.

It's tough to know whether Barca-type players like Wilshere are feeble due to the coaching or whether a new manager could help them see the game better, defence and attack, rather than just needing a lacking, naive paint-by-numbers attacking approach.

Guys help a broski out, im 3rd in my league of 60 players, #4 is 4 point under me but my team is a disaster!

    De Gea
    Stephens Smalling Morgan Lowton Lascelles
    Alli Son Willian Mahrez Dsilva
    Lukaku Vardy Barnes

    0.5 itb.2FT
    I was thinking:
    A. -8 for Morgan/Mahrez/Willian/Kaku for Naughton/Sterling/Jesus/Ramsey
    B. -4 for Morgan/Mahrez/Kaku for Sterling/Jesus/Naughton
Planning for TC Jesus because everyone else in my league is going for Kane.

Their players are similar priced to players from City, Chelsea, Utd and Spurs. And those teams are better than Arsenal so are preferred.

Jesus and Kane better premium options for most people if they can only have two.
Could see him matching Kane, though he could lose minutes to Lacazette.

Spurs have played well this year. If you look at the calendar year PL table since 1 Jan 2018, Spurs are second (15 games, 34 points) behind City (14 games 34 points).

Feels like they are close to a breakthrough although defeats against Juventus, City and Utd have been disappointing. Big transfer window coming up for Poch. Can't be relying on Sissoko, Lamela and Wanayama to be his game changing substitutions.

Who do you think they should go for? Personally think they need some sparky players like Zaha and Shaqiri who have PL experience, but can make an impact because of their skill. Could use a backup for Kane too.

Chasing in H2H league. Leading ML by 115. Take a hit for Sterling, or no?
    What I'm thinking right now:
    gw37: Salah > Sterling (-4)
    gw38: Sterling, Son > Salah, Arnie (-4)

Evening. Playing TC and deciding to keep Salah as it would cost me 0.8m to get him back in next week. Current team is:

    Ederson (Ryan)
    Smalling, Rudiger, Morgan (Tarkowski, Long)
    Sterling, Salah, Lingard, Arnie, Kenedy
    Kane, Jesus-TC (Barnes)

    2.2 and 1FT - options are

    A - Morgan, Kenedy > Mawson, Tadic
    B - Morgan, Kenedy > Naughton, Ramsey
    C - Rudiger, Barnes > Mawson, Giroud
    D - Rudiger, Barnes > VDH, Vardy
    E - Other

D only in there as I am a Leicester fan and would have gone for that until they packed their bags!!! Thoughts would be appreciated.

Sadly I can't weasel a way to bring in Kane, Dilva & Eriksen (three players my rival has who I want to cover) without losing Salah. I then wouldn't be able to bring Salah back in without taking out Sterling/Dilva/Eriksen in GW38. Do I:

    a) Keep Salah and not cover one of Kane/Dilva/Eriksen
    b) Get all three in and then take a big midfielder back out for Salah in GW38 (likely for a hit)

    1. Belli2007

Have you considered losing Salah til the end?

D Silva probably the riskiest move out of the three. Salah +4 could easily outscore him, especially if they play the same number of games.

        Actually. You know what?

Assuming Salah plays his next last two games, Silva seems like a bad pick, especially when:

        A) Silva may only play one game this week
        B) Salah has a four point handicap in week 38.

Even if Salah doesn’t play in week 38, you should know about it before the deadline, so you can ship him if necessary.

Were these really the only price changes last night? Monreal up, Gross down?

I was playing with my team last night, had 0.1 in the bank after transfers. Didn’t confirm. Made them again this evening and have 0.0 in the bank.

    Players involved:

    Wood
    Lukaku
    Mahrez
    Milivojevic
    Morgan
    Lejune
    Sterling
    Sane
    Jesus
    J Ayew

Lucky that I still have enough to make the transfers at least.

Did what, sorry? Got caught out?

I’m lucky that I still have enough to make my transfers (which will be a -16, so maybe a curse in disguise, or not so disguised).

Just can’t work out where I’ve lost the 0.1m. None of them looked like changing on FPLstatistics. TorresMagic said none of them changed in his price changes post, which I assume is automated so should be right.
