Each week we have been reviewing the aggregated predictions on Superbru’s Premier League Predictor game, using the collective Wisdom of the Crowd predictions to guide our fantasy football thinking.
I’m delighted to make it to the end of the season without missing a round! Fingers crossed for a successful FPL weeked for everyone.
GAMEWEEK 37 REVIEW
Let’s not dwell too much on Gameweek 37 shall we? Only 2% predicted Brighton to beat Man United, and 1 % expected City’s 0-0 draw with Huddersfield.
Abi Jacob won the Yellow Cap in the Fantasy Football Scout league, bringing up his 500th Superbru cap in the process.
Mr Crowd Wisdom – using the aggregated predictions of the crowd – remains near the top FFScout pool out of over 480 players. The aggregated predictions of the community are making better predictions than most individual players in the game, suggesting that there is credibility in the Wisdom of the Crowd concept.
The crowd’s average picks have now taken the Crowd Wisdom user into the top 2% on the global leaderboard.
GAMEWEEK 38 PREVIEW
Here is the Expected Goals chart for each fixture in Gameweek 38:

And here is the ranking of teams in order of Expected Goals Scored and Conceded:

With the caveat that the final week is often tricky to predict, Manchester City looks like the best bet in attack and Manchester United and Liverpool seem worth backing in defence. This suggests that those swooping for Red Devils back up keeper Sergio Romero will prosper, given Jose Mourinho has confirmed the Argentine will start against Watford in place of David De Gea.
Those handing this season’s hero Mohamed Salah the armband for a ceremonial finish to the season will be encouraged to see Liverpool in second place on the predicted goals chart, with United in third and Spurs in fourth.
Aside from the usual premium defenders, Burnley, Swansea and Crystal Palace defenders are worth considering at the back.
Here are the aggregated predictions that we’ll enter for Mr Crowd Wisdom this week.

Good luck! I’ll do one final article next week to look back at Mr Crowd Wisdom’s season, and potentially look ahead to the World Cup Predictor game.
