A £20,000 prize is on offer with Play Dribble’s World Cup Fantasy Cup this month and you haven’t got long left until the qualifying rounds draw to a close.

The tournament has a guaranteed £100,000 in prizes with first place claiming one fifth of the pot.

All it takes is one £5 entry to be in with a shout. CLICK HERE to play.

How does the Fantasy Cup work?

There are no budgets and transfers in Play Dribble’s Fantasy Cup with managers picking daily teams based on each day’s fixtures.

In order to earn a place in the final, managers must first get through qualifying and knockout rounds.

Coming first or second in qualifying five-player Dream Team games will earn managers tickets to the knockout rounds. The initial rounds end on Thursday June 28 with the knockouts starting on Saturday June 30.

In order to survive that stage and qualifying for the final, players must pit their wits against every remaining rival. Every day a certain percentage of the lowest scoring users will be eliminated.

Making it to the final itself, which will take place on Sunday July 15, will result in guaranteed pay-outs.

This is the payout structure for the overall winners:

  • 1st place: £20,000
  • 2nd place: £8,000
  • 3rd place: £5,000
  • 4th place: £3,600
  • 5th-6th place: £2,400
  • 7th-8th place: £1,400
  • 9th-10th place: £1,200
  • 11th-15th place: £900
  • 16th-20th place: £500
  • 21st-25th place: £420
  • 26th-36th place: £260
  • 37th-2335th place: £50,000+ in prizes

HOW MANY TEAMS CAN I ENTER?

You can enter as many qualifying Dream Team games as you want in the qualifying rounds. You can win a maximum of 10 tickets into the knockouts.

WHO ARE THE BEST PLAYERS TO HELP ME WIN?

You can user the data in our Members’ Area of our website to pick out the best World Cup Fantasy assets.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

So I came here thinking it would be an extremely original choice to captain R. Rodriguez tomorrow (good odds for CS and penalty taker) only to find out there was page after page of Rodriguez vs. Coutinho captain dilemmas! 😀

    I'm still not 100% sure...

3 Spaniards seems an absolute no-brainer if you've used your wildcard looking at the potential match ups, highest probability that you won't have to transfer them out before the semis. They'll face Russia and then Denmark/Croatia, they'll be favourites in both of those.

They won't beat Croatia too easily. Questions remain about the Spanish defence and, bar Costa, not too many look sharp at goaltime.

    Good morning DZ.

Is it prudent to play it safe this round?

    Currently Isco(C) with 14 points.

    Other choices;
    Coutinho/Reus/Zuber/Kimmich
    Kane(may not start)

    Stick with Isco or twist?

Not sure any of these options are explosive enough.

    Thanks.

England are on a £5million bonus to win the World Cup

The Three Lions squad will each pocket £217,000 if they lift the trophy on July 15, from a total of £28m in prize money for the FA should they go all the way.

England’s bonus system – which was negotiated between the FA, players and their agents – has already kicked in, with the squad getting a share of £1m for reaching the tournament's last 16. The payments will increase if they progress through further rounds.

    --

players and their agents?? they don't lose a single opportunity in making money..

Yep, just can't see that aging defense keep up with the young guns for France. I too believe that's all she wrote. Could've been a much easier road had they not complicated things for themselves.

      • 14 Years

Their defence surely isn't great but they have a chance agsinst a team that scored just 3 goals against Australia, Peru and Denmark. If Argies defence could catch fire, besides Messi, they'll trouble any defence. But it's a big if!
