Set-pieces are still proving important for World Cup Fantasy managers as we head into the quarter-finals.

Once again, we’ve pulled together all the relevant data so Fantasy Football Scout members can work out which nations are the best to invest in for the next round.

At this stage, it looks like England and Brazil are the most likely to score from set-piece situations in the quarter-finals, based on their respective match-ups while Croatia and Russia both look susceptible to balls into the box.

READ NEXT: Our transfer tips and stats for the World Cup Fantasy quarter-finals

Our research includes the penalty and corner-takers for each country, based on who has taken them either in Russia or, in some cases, in qualification. If there is no number next to a player’s name it’s because they took at least one in qualifying and/or warm-up games but are yet to take one at the World Cup itself.

We’ve also calculated which teams concede the most fouls and attempts from set-plays too to help you work out which nations are the most likely to get set-pieces in the first place.

To clarify, the ‘Attempts from set plays’ section combines those who have shot from direct free-kicks or those who have latched onto the end of a corner.

The deadline for Gameround 5 is at 15:00 BST on Friday July 6, so make sure you sort your team in time.

World Cup Data

We’re delighted to offer World Cup data as an early addition to our regular season offering to help those playing Fantasy games over the summer.

We’ve secured Opta data, not only for the tournament itself, but also from the Qualifying Rounds for Europe and South America and for international friendlies involving the participating nations. This includes all the matches played right up to the tournament kick-off.

Just to stress, this World Cup offering comes packaged with the regular Fantasy Football Scout membership.

Got a problem to solve. Would fancy some opinions from the lads...

Already got Coutinho, Miranda, Modric and Strinic:

A- Griezmann (pens, Uru plays deep) + Rakitic (got a YC)
    B- Griezmann + Willian
    C- Mbappé + Pogba

    1. squ1rrel
      • 12 Years

I like A or B, but I personally like Rakitic over Willian.

    2. AndyCook

      B. Willian has been really good lately

But France's game looks so much easier. Even more if Cavani is confirmed out.
Portugal (with probably the worst form of the last years and dominated by Morocco) was almost all 90 min in their half pressing and attacking.

    Choose:

    2) Rakitic

It’s going to be tough choosing between Lukaku, Aguero, Auba & King Kane!

      1. Deulofail

        No VAR, no Kane

      2. AndyCook
        8 years, 12 days ago

If Auba is 10 he is in. Lukaku can sit out for me for first few as can’t see him bullying those sides with Aguero in unless indications are Jesus will start regularly.

          • 10 Years

Auba won’t be 10m. I think he’s going to be 11m but Arsenal’s first 2 fixtures are not that easy and I don’t mind having a placeholder for him in Lukaku or Aguero.

Not going to be tough not choosing Lukaku . Mourinio won't change, Lukaku won't change and UTD were overachieving.

Any reason why you think he's a good idea? Is it fixtures ?

My thoughts above. If United can get a RW who can cross the ball I think Lukaku could be a good option over the season. And sorry I don’t agree they were overachieving. They have a good set of players and are strengthening it again. I think they can definitely improve on last season’s stats.

I just think that Liverpool and Chelsea will up their game and compete more with UTD. Even spurs if we can get that bellend levy to go for it. I definatly see pool finishing above UTD

              • 10 Years

Cheslea don’t have a clue about what’s going on at their club so I doubt they can even compete for the Top 4.

Liverpool & Spurs I agree will score more goals than United but too early to say they’ll finish above United. United have an equally good squad and more money to spend.

May be biased but I think only thing that stopped us finishing second was the Wembley thing . All ifs and buts though. Problem is we have a stadium change again so that's not good

Quintero, Isco and Costa are my only players out and I am looking at the following...

    Thoughts?

    A Mbappe
    with 1 or 2
    B Cavani
    With 1 or 3
    C Griezmann
    With 4

    1 Lingard / Kante
    2 Rakitic / Kante
    3 Rakitic / 5.5m mid
    4 Lingard / 5.5m mid
Have considered Neymar but just can’t squeeze two half decent midfielders in

    1. AndyCook
      8 years, 12 days ago

I wouldn’t bring Kante in, no attacking threat. Would avoid Cavani. Would be tempted with A3

      1. AndyCook

    A Mbappe

    B Griezmann

    2 Rakitic / 6m mid
    3 Rakitic / 5m mid

Have considered Jesus or Firmino too...

Its irritating how Hazard is always pricey, a kind of self fulfilling prophecy resulting in many having him and captaining him despite modest returns. He'll no doubt be priced similarly/more than Sterling who scored much more.
