Brighton and Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the late-afternoon match, with Alexis Sanchez‘s (£10.5m) omission from Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad the headline news.

The United boss confirmed the Chilean midfielder, the ninth-most captained player of Gameweek 2, misses the trip to Brighton through injury.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) gets his first league start of the season, as do Ashley Young (£6.0m) and Anthony Martial (£7.4m). Matteo Darmian (£5.0m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) make way.

Paul Pogba (£8.1m), the fifth-most bought player of Gameweek 2, captains United once more.

The Seagulls’ only two changes from the side that lost to Watford are in the full-back department: Bernardo and the injured Bruno being replaced by Gaetan Bong and debutant Martin Montoya (all £4.5m).

That Dale Stephens (£4.5m) is the most-owned Brighton player in FPL, sitting in 10% of squads, says much about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Seagulls this afternoon. Stephens is also the fifth-most benched player of Gameweek 2: over 84% of his owners have opted against playing the budget midfielder.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Propper, Stephens, Gross, March, Knockaert, Murray

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof; Shaw, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Martial, Mata, Lukaku

Would this be mental? It would mean having 2 city defensive players in Ederson and Mendy and only Aguero (rotation risk) in attack

Bavies and Bilva to Mendy and Rich?

    Got 2FT.

You don't think it's a risk to go with only Aguero as an attacking City asset?

Problem is it's so hard to know what other city attacked to get. The Silva brothers are most nailed, but won't score every week

No. One moment they’re in the team the next they’re out or getting 15 minutes all getting moved out of position.
Couple that with all the great midfield options and it’s pretty stress free.
          I’m doing it.

Hmm. I'm trying to avoid switching out nailed players from good teams. Just cos they blank one week does not mean they won't the next. It'll leave you very frustrated.

On the other hand, you need Mendy

Worth a wildcard? I've already done 2 transfers but want Alonso. Would need to do 3 more to bring him in. Looking at wildcarding to:

    McCarthy 4.0m
    Alonso Mendy Robbo Shaw AWB
    Salah Hazard Richarlison Mkhi
    Zaha Kun 4.5m

    Current team is

    Pickford 4.0m
    Mendy Robbo Shaw AWB Peltier
    Salah Richarlison Hazard Mkhi 4.5
    Zaha Kun King

    Any help will be appreciated

I am thinking about replacing him because his defence (whilst superb in the championship last year) has come up against 2 10 man teams, in 2 games, and havent done well at all. seems to be better options.

feels like this is one of my bad calls this year, and i wanna fix it

Not worth a transfer. Gotta stick it out with those 2. Don't understand people that did that. Keepers are the worst position to have to transfer so better to get a decent 4.5m rotation combo or an Ederson type.

Had already decided I'm taking a -4 this week.

    a) Neves & Zaha > Mkhi & Ings
    b) Sterling & Zaha > Mkhi & Aguero

I've got Mendy and B.Silva in my team. I went with Sterling instead of Aguero at £11m because I thought Sterling was more nailed than Aguero and midfielders have shown more value than forwards in the last couple of seasons.

    Thoughts?

Best 6.0 or less forward for a stretch.
