Brighton and Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the late-afternoon match, with Alexis Sanchez‘s (£10.5m) omission from Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad the headline news.

The United boss confirmed the Chilean midfielder, the ninth-most captained player of Gameweek 2, misses the trip to Brighton through injury.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) gets his first league start of the season, as do Ashley Young (£6.0m) and Anthony Martial (£7.4m). Matteo Darmian (£5.0m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) make way.

Paul Pogba (£8.1m), the fifth-most bought player of Gameweek 2, captains United once more.

The Seagulls’ only two changes from the side that lost to Watford are in the full-back department: Bernardo and the injured Bruno being replaced by Gaetan Bong and debutant Martin Montoya (all £4.5m).

That Dale Stephens (£4.5m) is the most-owned Brighton player in FPL, sitting in 10% of squads, says much about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Seagulls this afternoon. Stephens is also the fifth-most benched player of Gameweek 2: over 84% of his owners have opted against playing the budget midfielder.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Propper, Stephens, Gross, March, Knockaert, Murray

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof; Shaw, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Martial, Mata, Lukaku

Had a look at the Everton fan forums in response to the beware Bernard response to Wally.

General opinion seems to be he's more of a threat to Sigurdsson with a fluid front 3 in behind Tosun

Theo is actually really good. One of the few bright sparks in attack for Everton last season. Seems little to suggest he'll lose his place so far

Siggy has been excellent. Can’t see Bernard starting yet. I think Walcott/Bernard is the most likely rotation in future.

I am wildly speculating about a front 4 of Bernard, Siggy, Richi & Walcott, but that’s just me.

What do you guys think? I'm playing 3-5-2.

    a) Davies>PVA
    b) Bilva>Mkhitaryan
    c) Cairney>Kante
    d) King>Zaha

    Reasoning:
    a) mufc+lfc in the next three games. Palace=good fixtures+PVA god. Planning on getting trippier/davies after the next 3 games.
    b) i'm not 100% confident bilva will start. micky played well, should have had one more goal vs chelsea + nice fixture. I have kun+mendy
    c) Chelsea got some really nice fixtures, and I like the new attacking Kante
    d) Palace got some nice fixtures, and Zaha seems to be the main man

C is a waste of time. Once Hazard and Kovacic are in the side, Kante won't be anywhere near the opposition box

Sorry forgot to mention for a hit! Rest of team is:

      Foster-Fab
      Mendy - Robbo - Alonso - Daniels - AWB
      Salah - Mane - Richarlison - Bilva - Jota
      Aguero - Ings - Quaner

Evening lads, had a fairly solid start with only 2 main worries in my team really - Sanchez and King.

    Ryan
    Robertson | Mendy | PVA
    Salah | Sanchez | B.Silva | Richarlison | Maddison
    Aguero | King

    Button | AWB | Kamara | Peltier

    0ITB, 1FT

    Which moves would you make?

I think one will be Sanchez to Mane?

    Thanks

Yes, I really want Mkhi in.

I would play in 4-4-2 then next GW:
        Hamer
        Alonso; Mendy; Robbo; WB
        Salah; Mane; Mkhi; Rich
        Kun; King

Seem strong? I think 5 man mid would be better, but we never know

David Luiz, Mendy, Daniels (Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins)

Is David Silva back starting from now on? RMT has him up to nothing up to week 8 which clearly isn't right. Thinking of bringing him and Mendy in. His 8.4 offsets Mendy's 6.1... effectively getting both at their starting price.

Having trouble deciding what to do with my 2FT.

    Currently looking at :
    A/ TAA + King -> Alonso + Ings
Liverpool's fixtures take a turn for the worst after GW3. Would still play 3-4-3.

    B/ Cedric + King -> Alonso + Kamara + 0.5 ITB
Would mean a switch to 4 at the back (Mendy, Alonso, PvA, TAA).

I'd naturally lean towards option A, and would need to do it tonight to avoid being priced out of the move by Alonso's price rise, but transferring a player out before he has even played has backfired on me before..

    What do you think?

For me, Alonso is still too expensive when Robertson, Mendy & Trippier are all cheaper. Chelsea look pretty ropey defensively, he won't get attacking points every week.
