Fantasy managers will be heavily reliant on the exploits of their Liverpool assets after a tough start to Gameweek 3.

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m), the most captained player of the weekend, will be the key focal point while Sadio Mané (£9.8m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.5m) should make a difference too.

Salah himself has 54 percent ownership while the other members of his front three are both backed by more than 30 percent.

There will also be hopes for another Liverpool clean sheet with Andrew Robertson (£6.0m), Virgil van Dijk (£6.0m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£5.0m) in 19, 18 and 16 percent of squads, respectively.

Liverpool are unchanged for a third Premier League match in succession, great news for Fantasy managers currently tripled-up on Jurgen Klopp’s extremely settled side.

Meanwhile, Pascal Groß (£6.9m) was named on the bench as Yves Bissouma (£5.0m) comes into the line-up to play just behind Glenn Murray (£6.5m)

There was one change in defence with Leon Balogun (£4.5m) coming in for Lewis Dunk (£4.5m).

LIVERPOOL XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Robertson, van Dijk, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold; Milner, Wijnaldum, Keita; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

BRIGHTON XI (4-4-1-1): Ryan; Bong, Balogun, Duffy, Montoya; March, Propper, Stephens, Knockaert; Bissouma; Murray

If you watched the game Bernardo was one of the few City players looking the part today; on another day would have had a goal and 2 assists to his name.

So for me the options are:
    A) Austin to one of: Zaha/Ings/Tosun
    B) Richarlison to one of: David Silva/Bernardo Silva/Pedro/Walcott

Looking like B with David Silva at the moment. What do you guys reckon?

I own both of those players and am considering a wildcard. Think this is a nice week for it depending on how Hazard/Chelsea look tomorrow.

I'm thinking I can hold on WC with AWB playing next week and Gunnarsson looking to get back in the side.. Peltier another probem but the rest I am happy with so looking to save it.

Good plan; I have no Arsenal or Chelsea and own Luke Shaw + Peltier + Van Dijk. I am looking to swap those 3 (keeping Mendy and AWB) on a wildcard and in my midfield likely only keep Salah - Mane - Fraser; swapping Bernardo Silva and Richarlison. Up front I have Aguero - Austin - Kamara and need to get rid of Austin.

That's about 7 changes for me, including 2-3 starters, so I am seriously considering it.

Ings sounded good on the radio and Zaha is the main man, I would choose Zaha given your choice

B just sounds like a potential for a s*** show...

Will lose money on Richarlison though! Don't fancy Ings. Zaha also likely for Austin but not sure yet...

    Weird Logic....

I know that it is VERY rare for players to get attacking involvement for 3-4-5 games in a row. is this reason to NOT bring in players like Wilson, Walcott etc? they are in good form, they have good fixtures, but the probability of repeating scores is so low?

    whadya think??

ok now you're trolling or being ridiculous. go to a casino, sit and watch a roulette table for an hour, and tell me how many times you see the ball land on the same colour more than 10 times in a row.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying the odds of it coming up red 10 times in a row are the same as the odds of it coming up red, black 5 times in row. Or red red red and 7 blacks.

Any combination you choose has the same odds of occurring.

Once the 1st has occurred, the chance of the 2nd occurring doesn't become any smaller

what are the odds of a coin landing heads 10 times in a row? the answer is not 50%.

        1. Pep says
          • 10 Years
          7 years, 10 months ago

No but now Walcott/Wilson have got returns 3 games in a row so the odds they get a return in the next game are not any smaller.

If the lands on heads 10 times in a row. When you flip it the 11th time, there's still a 50/50 chance it turns heads again.

If you’re comparing player scores as per your original question, a scenario where each trial is very clearly not independent, to roulette you clearly couldn’t pass GCSE statistics.

And politicians say there’s nothing wrong with the education system.

How did Mkhitarian look? Unlucky not to be in points?

Assisting the assisters but still looks a good pick!

Kind of unlucky, kind of dangerous but ultimately missing that final spark. Better than Ramsey and Auba. Lacazette was very good I thought. Iwobi was Iwobi.

Assist the assister, but did put in some good balls in the box and was on several sey pieces. Hopeful of returns in next fixture.

Strange second half performance from Liverpool

    Looks like they got complacent

S/he posted City's formation 2 minutes before deadline so Bemba Da is hero as far as I'm concerned

One of the minors regrets was buying that Muppet VVD, he might be on the list to avoid next season (similar to what I did with Richarlison)

No, IMO. He doesn't look to be the target at corners any more.

I have Maddison in midfield and wondering if there’s a better option for next few weeks then him or if Leicester is the best route

£6.6 perhaps? Just thinking had planned a transfer for King out but if going to shift Richarlison may look to Pedro seeing how he goes tomorrow.
