In the first part of this week’s set pieces article we have uncovered some interesting match-ups for Gameweek 4.

We’ve managed to uncover the fact that the side to have conceded the most attempts from dead ball situations in the first three Gameweeks will be facing the striker with the most shots from them – the stuff of Fantasy Football dreams.

Fantasy Football Scout members can view the data both in the Members Area and in the article below, where we go into a bit more detail.

would you play fabianski(wolves H) or Foster (spurs H)?
at first it seems obvious to play Fab but then i started thinking.. im pretty sure westham will concede even though i think we will beat wolves. Foster will probably concede but watford are confident right now and won 3/3 and can see a lot of save points for Foster even if they do lose? am now tending towards Foster.. am i overthinking it?

      Fab still the safer bet.

I've just asked this! I'm leaning towards Foster. I think he'll make more saves and has a higher ceiling.. it is a tough one though.

    Happy days!!!

Arnautovic yellow status lifted ( why am I not overjoyed). Must say West Ham are not doing neatly enough so far. Arnie doing all he can really.

two-sided coin, that. i've made enough TV with my other players that I'm happy to lose the odd 0.1 on Auba if it means I share his points with that many fewer competitors!

With todays draw I will not captain Salah once before Gameweek 9.
This combined with Liverpools tough fixtures (thanks Rainer):

    Sat: Spurs (A) - Prem
    Tue: PSG (H) - UCL
    Sat: Southampton (H) - Prem
    Tue: Chelsea (H) - EFL
    Sat: Chelsea (A) - Prem
    Wed: Napoli (A) - UCL
    Sun: City (H) - Prem

..and the fact that Hazard is looking great in Sarri ball, with a good fixtures make the Salah to Hazard move even more tempting.
With Mane and a defender already in many peoples team I think its a good move.
One could disagree and find it insane, but 13 mill not captained seems like bad use of 13mill.

    What do you think?

To put it into perspective, the money you save from Salah to Hazard will give you the posibility to upgrade a 4,4 defender into Alonso.
And if you have some money in the bank, even Peltier to Alonso.

    Hi!
Not really into fplstatistics, so if a player is at approx -85, will he fall during the night or how does it work? Thanks! 🙂

they should rise/fall once the 100 threshold has been reached. However, the algorithm isn't finessed yet e.g. last night Zaha rose on 70 odd.

Anyone at -100% is predicted to drop. They can't get them all right though. I use FFFix as well as they have a useful Rate per Hour filter which gives you an idea just how fast players are charging toward a rise or fall. The thresholds on FFFix have historically been less accurate than FPLstats for me, though both had a bit of a mare last season.

There are vast numbers of players closer to -100. Any of them might drop, but most of them won't.
If the player has only one down-arrow then he probably won't. If he has 3 then it is more likely.
The closer to -100 and the more down-arrows, the more likely he is to drop.

    6. MTPockets

If you check prediction errors here: http://fplstatistics.com/Home/PredictionErrors
Can see broadly accurate but still some outliers, so drop is possible although not any 15%-out surprise falls .

This a good enough Wildcard team so far?

    Ederson (Hamer)

    Robbo - Alonso - Mendy - Shaw (Wan.B)

Salah - Moura - Walcott - Groß (Westwood)

Aguero (C) - Zaha (Wilson just for this week)

Feel like my mids are a bit punty, Wilson will be straight back in next week over Moura perhaps. Trying to get Haz in but struggling as Salah, Aguero and defence taking up a fair chunk of money, thanks!

      • 16 Years

If you’re Going for Salah, Kun, Haz, I think you need Robbo > TAA, and probably Shaw > Bennett. As good as Shaw has looked, I wouldn’t back utd to keep a CS vs. Anyone at the minute, Jose has very obviously jumped the shark

      1. Clickzy
        • 10 Years

Yeah Shaw is a bogey pick at the moment, had 5.1 to spend on a defender and thought he was the best option, Man U in a terrible state though

        I'm 0.1 off doing that.

I would have done Rich -> Moura probably but I missed the first rise, so now he's also 0.1 off.

B Silva is fine for the most part, but then what do do about Rich is the problem :/

Yeah Playing AWB makes a lot more sense than Stephens.

I guess my main worry is to keep Richarlison or not.

I wanted Moura because he's cheap and scored quite a bit, but I see nobody talking about him so he must not be as good as his recent results. Thanks

    B) Tarkowski + Rich + Sessegnon -> Alonso + Walcott + Westwood -4 hit
    C) Tarkowski + Rich + Sessegnon -> Alonso + Fraser + Hughes -4
    D) Peltier + Rich + Sessegnon -> Alonso + Fraser + Westwood -4

His attacking returns are good. It really depends on who you replace him with. Spurs would be the option but they rotate a lot. Bellarin another option but they concede a lot.

There isn't anyone better then him really, assuming you have Alonso & Mendy. Trippier have better fixtures but he also has cl to play so he's a rotation risk.

Don't get why people are talking about getting rid of salah during September.

Expect he will start most of those games.

Males more sense to lose mane (or fiemino in my case) for hazard.

Dropping Salah because of fixtures is ridiculous. He’s as fixture proof as they come. Nobody creates more chances than the Egyptian King and he proved he can play nearly every game when healthy no matter the schedule. Lose at your own risk.
