Everton take on rock-bottom West Ham United in the penultimate match of Gameweek 5, with kick-off at Goodison Park at 16:00 BST.

Theo Walcott (£6.7m) was the second-most-sold Fantasy Premier League player of this round, with over a third of his owners ditching the Everton winger after he picked up an injury in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town a fortnight ago.

Walcott, however, has won his race to be fit for this afternoon’s match, along with defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye (£4.9m).

Richarlison (£6.6m), still the most-owned Everton outfield player in FPL despite his recent ban, sits out the last match of his suspension, while the injured Seamus Coleman (£5.3m) joins the lengthy list of players unavailable to Marco Silva for this afternoon’s encounter.

Jonjoe Kenny (£4.3m) – who recorded a clean sheet and an assist in this fixture last season – comes into the Everton starting XI in place of Coleman, with Tom Davies (£5.4m) making way for Gueye in the double-pivot.

Everton have yet to keep a clean sheet this season, but Jordan Pickford (£5.4m) remains the fourth-most-popular goalkeeper in FPL in spite of this.

Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) is the most-owned player on show on either side at Goodison, with the Austrian having scored both of West Ham’s Premier League goals this season.

The Hammers’ poor defensive record of ten goals conceded and no clean sheets has influenced over half a million FPL managers’ selections between the sticks: 70.8% of Lukasz Fabianski‘s (£4.5m) owners have benched the Polish shot-stopper this week.

Manuel Pellegrini has made six changes to the side that lost 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks ago, including the recall of Pablo Zabaleta (£4.3m) and Arthur Masuaku (£4.5m) at full-back.

Pellegrini has seemingly switched from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-3-3, with Mark Noble (£4.9m), Declan Rice (£4.4m) and Pedro Obiang (£4.4m) the all-new central midfield three. The injured Jack Wilshere (£4.9m) is among those to make way.

Andriy Yarmolenko (£6.8m) gets his first Premier League start in a front three alongside Felipe Anderson (£6.9m) and Arnautovic.

Everton XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Digne, Zouma, Holgate, Kenny; Schneiderlin, Gueye; Calvert-Lewin, Sigurdsson, Walcott; Tosun.

West Ham United XI (4-3-3): Fabianski; Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Noble, Rice, Obiang; Yarmolenko, Arnautovic, Felipe Anderson

If u take a hit early in the week and then decide to wildcard later in the week, will you still have to take a (-4)?

Unknown what you saying but if I keep Robbo then it means benching my palace assets. I believe they can get a clean sheet against Newcastle so potentially cancels out what Robbo does.

    Pickford (Stekelenburg)

    Mendy Alonso Robertson AWB (Peltier)

    Salah Fraser Walcott (Kante,Cairney)

    Zaha Aguero Auba

What do you think about a WC?
I wanna get rid of a lot of players. Pickford, Peltier,Walcott to Richarlinson, Cairney as he will probably drop tonight, Kante and Auba. I'll maybe will get rid of Zaha and Robertson thanks to fixtures too.

    4.5 (Stekelenburg)

    Mendy Alonso Holebas (AWB ,Bennett)

I will transfer out all my bench players. But there is still 3-4 transfers in the starting 11 that I wanna do (pickford, walcott, Auba, maybe zaha). The goal is to get rid of Auba and get in Hazard. Cairney will drop tonight also.

After hovering over Salah > Hazard all of last week and deciding against it yesterday morning, I've just made 1 of 2 FT's.
Myki > Fraser leaving me 2m ITB.

    Midfield at the minute;
    Moura - Salah - Mane - Fraser - Hughes

Looking at one of Salah or Mane > Hazard

    Thoughts?

    1. Pranav Santhosh
      • 9 Years

I personally wouldn’t get rid before Southampton at anfield

Same situation as me, thinking Mane/Salah > Hazard all week but decided against it.

I will keep them for 1 more GW. SOT is too good of a fixture IMO

        • 12 Years

Likewise, was on the brink of bringing Hazard and Fraser in for Mkhi and Mane, but I wanted to avoid the hit and give Mkhi another chance. Sometimes you've got to be ruthless.

I removed Mané last night and I'm having slight regrets because I think he's been amazing value (compared to Salah) so far this season.

You've missed one price rise already though and you can afford to wait a day or two now, so see what happens midweek.

From the start of the season I've thought that Mane will edge Salah this year. As you said the price difference is major. I think I'd do Salah if I were to do either. Wish I'd done it last week!

Depending on whether he'll be out next game Arnie to Mitro could be on cards for -4. I was doing that swap anyway due to fixture shift and I think Mitro is outperforming Arnie. West Ham have really struggled until today and I think Arnie will be surviving off of penalties and scraps.

Magic winger puts sane out of a job, poor defender.
The other answer is a tactical removal from squad, horses for courses to negate any threat from Fulham and allow sane to play

However crowd frustrated by his refusal to take on defensive responsibilities, waving of arms at other people and not anticipating Fulham attacks.
He looked low on confidence and rusty
Many thought pep got subs all wrong- Sane should have been brought off for sane to get applause ,Zink for Delphi and foden for injured kun as game was won

Every corner he took was chanted.
Didn't have last year's swagger, needs time ,I don't think he can play in same team as Mendy

5 goals + Ings left. And 3 of those were in one Aguero hat trick!

Wreck is strong, but yeah, Ings should offset most of the damage.

    2FTs:

    Hennessey
    Alonso - Mendy - Robertson - Bennett
    Fraser - Moura - Salah - Hazard
    Aguero - Mitro

Bench: Hamer , Zaha, Wan Bissaka - McTominay

Any weak links? Thinking Moura to Richarlison, maybe downgrading Robertson to TAA to free up some funds. Or maybe bringing in Sterling.

Looks good. I'd keep Moura this week. Definitely start Zaha over Bennett though.

Looks very solid. If injury free I would swap McTominay for a starter. I'd also play AWB ahead of the Wolves defender.

Anything in bank? If so sort out McTominay.

How would you manage to bring in Sterling? Don't lose Salah just for the sake of making a change. If happy, hold.

Would you change anything about this starting XI?

    DDG
    Robertson, Mendy, Alonso, AWB
    Salah, Hazard, Pedro, Fraser
    Aguero, Mitrovic

You then lose Pedro for West Ham and bring in Haz after he's just had Cardif and West Ham. This smells of points chasing to me. I'd hold and reassess next week.

6? Don't plan that far ahead. So much changes in 6 weeks. 3 or 4 weeks should suffice

Best Tosun replacement? I'm thinking King given the fixtures ahh that he's on pens. Zaha always looks dangerous though

I am looking to replace Tosun as well.

thinking Zaha, Wilson, Vardy (got 2m in bank)

King is never in my consideration though

(Or maybe just 1 nice return?)
Doubt Anyone brought in King last week!
Fraser does look like the in-form BOU player tho, imo
