Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announce the very first episode of Meet the Manager, where we interview Fantasy managers with a superb track record over their career.

Over the season we’ll find out from them what it takes to get a top finish in the game, explore their key strategies for success and also gain some valuable tips on tackling the current campaign.

To kick off the series I was joined earlier today by Nick, who is better known within the Fantasy Football Scout community as Triggerlips.

Over his 11-year career, he has finished in the top 1,000 an impressive four times, including 2012/13’s finish of 35th. Indeed across his last nine campaigns, he has only finished outside the top 50,000 twice.

Paying close attention to team structure and balanced distribution of funds is among the nuggets of advice that New Zealand-based Nick serves up.

He also reveals the importance of accumulating wealth early on and making sure the vast array of Fantasy advice on social media is treated with caution.

And while he is taking a patient approach with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this season he is “not liking the look of (Mohamed) Salah one little bit”.

The chat with Nick is available to view on YouTube here and in the embedded video below:

    A worse feeling?

    1. Not taking a hit to get an in form player that goes on to haul (and missing out on subsequent price rises with your current player dropping)?
    Or
    2. Getting rid of one of your players and then they go on to haul (they rise and your new player falls)?

I'm guessing most will pick 1 but I get depressed/frustrated when 2 happens to me!

    Which one?

Salah -> Hazard (and use funds elsewhere with second ft)
Mane, Mkhi, Kamara -> Hazard, Hojbjerg, Wilson -4

If I keep both and hold for another week, i’ll be able to get rid of Mkhi and Walcott

Has Wally reached his swan-song time or is there really a chance he’ll come to life against his former team?

Do I just use my FT to ship him for Fraser? Anything else you’d do here?

    1FT £0.3itb
    Foster
    Alonso, Mendy, Robbo, PVA
    Salah (C), Mané, Pedro, Wally
    Aguero, Wilson

Salah is miles off of his worth so far this season and Mane didn't impress me last night. I'm a hammers fan so here's hoping for this weekend, then they have Liverpool and Utd home with So'ton away. Could be worth the punt. I'm thinking of wildcarding him in, if I'm honest, but he is such a troll.

Possibly as one isn't playing, has tough games and plays for a poor team and Moura will suffer reduced mins even if he starts ( as good as he is)

Not sure how it works in CL so forgive me if it seems a dumb question. Being as he was banned for a match was Pep actually allowed in the dressing room before kick off and at half time?

Mmmm. Speaks volumes then about tonight's performance. Pep is a great manager and a great talker in the dressing room (SKY series)...

Every week I get the impression that Klopp and Pep are loved by their players and the feeling is mutual. Tonight may be as good an example as we could find of just how much difference a genuinely great manager can make before kick off.

What do you think of this WC?
    Hennessey Hamer
    Alonso Mendy Robertson Doherty AWB
    Salah Hazard Dilva Fraser Hojberg
    Aguero Jimenez Ings

      Find money to upgrade Hamer.

      Salah not worth the money.

Get one of Jimenez or Ings, not both. Nowhere to go if one gets injured or loses form.

How Sane look tonight when came on? Want Mkhi replacement and have money for upgrade to some City mid. Thinking about DSilva ofc but now, with Mandy injuried, Sane looks to me like a good option.
Anyone thinks that is a good idea or just go for DSilva ?

Sane was excellent! Changed the game for them!

Good be gold if Mendy is out for some weeks, it was this period last year when Sane went nuts and no one had him. Long term I don't think he's worth .7 more over Silva.

Sane was very wasteful tonight and off the pace. Missed many chances. Dont really get the buzz about him on here tonight

Looked good on the highlights I just watched. Never watching highlights again!

Like their only bright spark, but set against a low bar of team performances.
Problem is every time someone looks set to be nailed at City they aren't, but personally think he's a very good idea if Mendy's out.

Sane is a good short term punt but will get far less minutes than last year so not an option really unless you like making lots of transfers

Thanks guys. Could afford him short term, while Mandy is out than change him in a few weeks

      Aguero mitro king

Any news on lingard? Why wasn't he on bench tonight?
Keep him vs wolves or switch to richarlison this week?
