It’s that time of the week again when we give Fantasy Premier League managers the chance to put questions to our panel.

If you have a burning query as you prepare for Gameweek 8 then we are here to help.

We’ve assembled another panel of three top-drawer Fantasy managers this week and will be bringing you a different trio for each Gameweek over the course of the season.

You can find out what their answers are on Tuesday.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Lejuan Basson – A South African-based elite FPL manager, who finished 24th in the world in 2017/18.

Ben Crabtree – The overall winner of FPL in 2016/17 and proud Evertonian who refuses to field Liverpool players!

WGTA (Tom) – One half of the tremendously popular Who Got the Assist? podcast and Twitter account.

Got exact cash to do Aguero to Kane. Take a gamble and do it while I still can?

    Bottomed on last article.

If Kane would just keep performing like he did in first 7 GWs, he'd end up with 239 pts.

So he already is performing better than any season so far, although he barely passes the eye test at this point.

    Thoughts?

He will still grab the tap-ins penalties.. I think he will start scoring on a regular basis plus guaranteed 85-90 mins.. I still have Aguero and looking to shift Richarlison for Knockeart to fund it...

I haven’t seen a lot of him this season, but looked in good nick yesterday albeit against Huddersfield.

Very few if any do I look at what their end of season points will look like, it’s a case of getting on them at the right time(more important than ever with the number of high price options) and at the moment, I’m happier having Kane around than if I didn’t

    Salah + Wilson > Kane + Gudmondsson (-4) done

Wildcarding next week so will get Salah back in. Had the money for Richarlison but fancied Gud for 1 week.

To a point I agree with you but also the upside of Kane captain this week in light of not many standout candidates makes it a reasonable move

I’ve gone through the full range of knee jerk regarding Aguero to Kane at various stages of today - latest musing is around the Barcelona game being Wednesday 8pm and then Cardiff being Saturday 3pm kick off.

Leaning towards the fact that if you’re taking Aguero out to fit Kane in for Cardiff, Aguero only needs one attacking return vs Liverpool in what one would assume is going to be quite an open affair, to nullify Kane as essential (and ultimately make the transfer a wasted transfer, and quite a sideways move).

The only compelling investment case FOR bringing Kane in (or anyone in fact) at this stage I think if you haven’t already, is if you believe Aguero will score substantially lower than Kane over the coming 3-4 gameweeks. Personally I’m not convinced.

Anyone else feel like "keeping an eye" on players and waiting until they start performing is the wrong strategy? If you want to do well you need to be ahead of the curve. Ive had great success with Vardy Maddison double up two weeks ago because of their mint fixtures, got points and price rises. People who were proactive with Kane this week will reap similar rewards while people joining the bandwagon later will gain very little on the masses. Form very often follows fixtures.

What are some players to get in now ahead of the masses? Knockaert been mentioned a lot. Murray could be another nice option. I think single 4.5 keeper owners could do very well to swap to Ryan too (Hennessey -> Ryan for instance). Arnie or maybe even Yarmo/Felipe from gw 10 could be very good.

I think there’s a balance to be had. Depends how much chasing you need to do as well. I’m top of all my leagues by 20 points a team the moment, and don’t want to take unnecessary risks so am more inclined to wait it out..

Bit early to be tightening up surely? Unless that’s been your strategy so far and if so good work. Getting on players before the up curve is the big thing to get up the ranks. And reacting to players who are delivering already is a case of sorting the nuggets from the many fools gold

Depends on rank and approach really. If you're behind early on, you may favour a more aggressive approach to close the gap. Think the solution is somewhere in between. Lots of red herrings but then again you can't wait too long. A week or two to observe and then go with your gut. Hugely dependent on fixtures too. I'm a fixture over form person. Plan to bring in Ryan for Ederson for example

Have been seeing the Kane vs Kun question a lot and these are my thoughts.
    Pros for Kun
Still the highest scoring forward so far
Plays for a City team that creates a boatload of chances and as we saw with his goal against Brighton, one of those few strikers imo who can do it without service
Proven track record and pedigree(Captain obvious)
Plays Burnley the week after who have improved in recent weeks but still looks like a plum fixture at home.

    Cons
Has never scored at Anfield. 0 goals, 2 assists in 5 games. Was injured for one and these are real assists, not fpl assists though.
Liverpool defence much improved. Don't see it being like last seasons goalfest. Probably similar to the game at the Bridge
Don't think he gets the full 90 against Burnley as they have Shakhtar and Spurs the next week.

    Pros for Kane
Playing Cardiff at home. (Not much more needs to be said)
    Assured of 80+ every game
Personally feel Moura will either be benched or shifted out wide
Has an amazing record in London derbies for the West Ham game

    Cons for Kane
Still doesn't look at his best
Poch could revert back to 2 up top with Moura eating up his space
He is lowkey a troll but this is just a personal one.

    Tl;dr
The switch from aguero to kane is worth it for a free transfer and a hit. A Salah cap gw9 will be better than both these options if there aren't too many Salah rotation rumours (which are extremely unlikely)

Yeah, potentially maybe but Kane looks hungry for goals every game or at least when fully fit. Lots of times last season where he trolled us coming off a good mid week game though

Also they are not the same price, assuming people got Aguera from the start and do not have Kane until now the difference is 1,5m, which can be significant as well...

I am still undecided on this...

Switching around the fixtures is important. I am seeing the posts recommending to hold Salah, Hazard etc. We should be dynamic. We could build a good 15 men squad with cheap and good players like - Doherty, Fraser, Maddison, Mitrovic etc. Very important to exclude players with low potential because of injury or fixture changes.

Then we can have at least 3 Big Hitters (Salah, Hazard, Kane, Aguero) depending on upcoming fixtures.

For me, I started with Salah and Mane (Easy early fixtures) then I transferred out Salah and brought Hazard in (before he scored 20 points) then, I bought Kane before his brace this week. I will transfer in Salah for Kane in GW 9 unless his form dipped like crazy. I only took 4 points hit along the way and it worked well.

Seen this hatty-comment been thrown about a couple of times. Salah "only" scored more than two goals on one occasion last year. I think he'll just slowly start to convert at a higher level. Banking 10-12 pts week in week out. Surely puts him !under the radar" a while longer aswell.

I doubt these numbers are correct even over any similar time period. If I trust my memory Haz has scored only one penalty this season. Besides xG also xA is very important factor. Kane for example rarely assists.

Doubt as much as you like, but the numbers are correct. You prob wouldnt trust your memory. Hazard has scored two penalties this season (gw3 and gw5). His xG with pens included is 2.75, which mean hes outperformed his xG by 3.25. His xA is 1.46, which is pretty good, but still behind Salah whos got 2.04.

The point of the post was to show how variance plays a big part. Borte have performed well but ones got a xGA delta of +3.78, the other has -3.47.

Who would get from City if you had the choice?

Maybe Robertson to TAA, upgrade Hamer and Bennett to Doc/Jonny

gw7 was the time to buy kane, maybe even 6. Now all the panic selling of Kun is laughable. Makes no sense to me and i love a punt

Whilst I own Aguero, I will not try to talk anyone out of selling him. The more the merrier.

people looking back, with all the "answers" in front of them, saying things like gwX was the time to buy/ditch X. So much hindsight bias.

Maguire is best but that bit more expensive. Pereira sometimes OOP but not 100% nailed imo.

I have Chilwell, who is 'due' an assist

Maddison Hazard Salah stay, do I lose Richarlison > Knockeart OR Fraser > Hughes as I feel I want Kane... I could downgrade Robertson Trippier or Alonso but does not feel right... I think losing Richarlison is the best option.. Any opinions??

Salah Zaha Dilva —> Kane Maddison Sane/Özil for -4?
Or just Dilva —> Maddison for 1/2FT

    Pick one.
A : Aguero out Lacca or Vardy IN
B : Salah out Hazard in

Right now im with A option. Reason is Aguero play about 60-65 minutes and rotation risk too, and Salah have great fixtures after City game.

Should I wc this week or gw9? bench is very weak. I want Madisson, Doherty, Trippier and get rid of Bilva, Foster and all bench player

    Current team:
    Fabianski
    Alonso, Robertson, AWB
    Hazard, Mane, Richarlison, Bilva, Fraser
    Kun, Mitrovic

    (Foster, Mendy, Kamara, Peltier)

    Plan to WC like this:
    Hart
    Alonso, Bellerin, Doherty
    Hazard, Mane, Richarlison, Maddison, Fraser
    Kane, Arnie

    (Fabianski, Mitrovic, TAA, AWB)
