The Fantasy Football Scout community have been hard at work again over the last seven days, producing the usual superb array of articles and tables as they reflected on Gameweek 7 and looked ahead to Gameweek 8.

Big-money Fantasy Premier League assets were the focus of much discussion, while Marcos Alonso and Wolves also faced scrutiny.

Our latest Community Round-up feature also looks over the various tournaments and mini-leagues that involve FFS users – including a new leader in our public FPL league who is on top of the world.

The Hottest Topics

Heavy hitters were the trending Fantasy assets at the beginning of the week, as we got the ball rolling by asking: what to do with Mohamed Salah?

Jose is Legend then kicked off a debate over which premium option is dispensable before Jealous Viper examined Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane head to head.

Kane was also the centre of discussion regarding Spurs’ injury problems and whether the absence of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen in particular colours your judgement of the England striker.

Stoichkov#8 was also mulling over the pros and cons of Kane and his fellow big-money FPL players.

There were two members-only hot topics, meanwhile. Eden Wizard looked at whether Marcos Alonso has become less attacking of late, while Shake n Bake asked if Wolves are this year’s Burnley.

Collie01 analysed the medium-to-long-term fixtures and came up with some observations, while Liverpool’s run of matches after the international break was the focus of wasp3000‘s hot topic.

With attention back on Gameweek 8, we speculated on the breakout FPL players of this weekend before the ever-helpful G-Whizz rounded up the Doosra Stats, clean sheet probabilities and fixture odds.

Tamagotchi Massacre wanted to hear your general FPL advice tips, while Wolves Ay We demanded to know why you – yes, you – haven’t linked your FPL team to your profile page.

Community Articles

Two to bring you this week, both of them regular features:

Community Tables

Here is just a small selection of the excellent array of public tables created this week and available in the Members’ area:

Remember, to see your table featured here (if that’s what you want!) please ensure you include a description explaining the purpose of it.

Community Tournaments

A new entry, world number one Brayden McCullough no less, is the new leader in our public FFS League. This is Brayden’s first season and he has now top of the overall rankings for three Gameweeks. He got there after Triple Captaining Aguero in Gameweek 2, playing his Wildcard in Gameweek 4 and captaining Hazard for a score of 118 in Gameweek 5.

Another new entry, Alex Brash, is the new leader in our FFS Members League, but previous leader Andrew McKinnon is level with him on points. Alex is in his eighth season and is 33rd overall. He has not yet played any chips.

RedLightning still leads the FFS Mods & Cons mini-league.

Ashley Humphrey (Ashers74) is still top of RedLightning’s Top 10k Any Season mini-league and is now up to 25th overall.

There aren't many feelings worse than seeing your GW1R better than your OR

There are currently 5 players in the world who started a week later than me and are doing better...

I remember that feeling. It usually happened to me around GW3 / GW4 of every season too.

This season is exceptional and no late starter ahead of me yet. 🙂

It's like they are wildcarding in GW2 using GW1 information. So don't trouble thyself about people starting a GW later and still doing better. Cheers!

It was the first time that I really kept calm with the price change / transfer and let both Aguero and Salah dropped the price.

Hope the beliefs in class and patiences bring the huge FPL points to my team.

A brace from Salah and first goal ever of Agüero at Anfield would be great.

    C'mon boys.

I’m pretty sure Aguero will go back up this Gameweek if he doesn’t get injured. Salah should as well, although I’m not totally sure on this - it’ll depend on how he does tomorrow.

It's rare to find actresses like that who are classy and intelligent.

I go for brains over beauty, but she is kinda hovis and I would eat that for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Don't think Kane blanking is going to save your weekend if you're facing the guillotine...

All the people saying it is a perfect time for KWP to start, who would take FKs after Eriksen and Trippier are out of them team?

      Ruel Fox?

Don't think he'll be benched but the free kick taker wouldn't be an enormous issue I reckon.

When Kane blanks, all I need from my fellow non kane owner's ~>30 days silence for those who captained him. Let them rest in peace, however if Etheridge saves his pen today or the woodwork sends it over along with a yellow card and he scores -2. Show no mercy!!!

And what will you do if he scores twice? Will we have 30 days of silence from you?

You old man! Why did you captain him? Well, you've lived long enough, I suppose you'll be resting forever when it happens,am I right or wrong?

Well you have to back your gut feeling. I'm not expecting miracles but I would very disappointed if he blanks. Kane's coming back out for Aguero anyway, so it was only a fleeting visit.

Not often i comment on price rices/falls but Salah down before Huddersfield, Cardiff, Arsenal, Fulham??? What? And they have Red star in a double header in between which makes this period much easier than the one they´ve just been through. No carabou cup either so actually less fixture than the rest of top 6. Actually it is good because then a Salah goal will matter much more as fewer have him and this less captaining him.

I know it's very kneejerky and silly but I'm considering Fab -> Ryan/Dub/Pat for free this week even though I just did Ederson -> Fab last week!

Hammers attack a lot, so I don't see that many cleans for then for s while. We know that cheap 4.5s are best when they are on stodgy defensive teams like Burnley with lots of 0-0s and 1-0s. They don't even have good fixtures!

    Thoughts?

This was written from a Mo's Man Utd perspective, but there are some interesting tables on there comparing all the EPL teams.
