It’s all change for Fantasy Premier League managers as Gameweek 15 looms large.

This is when the fixtures begin to swing in the direction of Tottenham and Arsenal and that has already had an effect on the captain debate.

We’ve taken a look at both the popular options and those most likely to do well in the midweek action in this latest article.

Captain Poll

Harry Kane (£12.4m) looks poised to go into Gameweek 15 as the runaway Fantasy Football Scout captain poll winner. At the time of writing the Tottenham man had a 42% share of the vote ahead of Southampton’s visit to Wembley on Wednesday night. The last time he was the most popular candidate was when they hosted Cardiff in Gameweek 8 – his owners will be hoping for a better showing than his blank against the Bluebirds.

A long way off in second place is Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) who has a 15% share of the vote. Liverpool travel to Burnley this weekend and are expected to waltz to victory considering the form their hosts are in. The Clarets have allowed more shots than any other side this season which should afford Salah plenty of chances to finally get his second double-figure haul of the campaign.

Raheem Sterling (£11.5m) looks set to finish the poll in third place, as the most popular of the Manchester City options. He is the top-scoring player in all of FPL right now so there’s so surprise that he’s ahead of his colleagues in this vote. Some might have expected him to have garnered more than 9% support, but it appears the voters are aware of his rotation risk. An away match against Watford looks like one in which Sterling can certainly deliver but the fact that he played the full 90 minutes against Bournemouth does reduce his risk of starting this one – and that is reflected in his percentage share here.

Interestingly, Marko Arnautovic (£7.1m) is up next as he faces Cardiff City on Tuesday night. His 5.67% share of the vote is higher than Sergio Aguero (£11.5m) who trails behind the main group with 4.5%. There is considerable doubt over whether he will even start against Watford with his recent muscular injury, but he has also been so poor away from home too.

Despite emerging as a potential alternative to Kane in the minds of some Fantasy managers, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.9m) is lagging well behind in the captain poll. Just 3.49% of voters are considering handing him the armband this weekend even though he faces a leaky Manchester United defence at Old Trafford. Callum Wilson (£6.8m), who faces Huddersfield, is ahead of him on 3.81%.

Eden Hazard (£11.0m) and Sadio Mané (£9.9m) are even further behind with just 1.95% and 1.74% backing respectively.

    Would you do:

Robertson, Aguero > TAA, Kane (for free)

    or

Robertson, Aguero, Ings > TAA, Aubameyang, Wilson (-4)

I would prefer the first, however if Ings doesn't start I will be looking at Doherty against Chelsea...

Yeah, still not sure. Not a fan of hits. But with Man Uniteds massive defensive problems and Bournemouth looking really good I am thinking they could very likely outscore Kane. I got Sterling with a doubt and Neves out as well, so I have to make some changes this week!

Is Deulofeu a decent option as 4th/5th mid ?

I will wildcard for Gameweek 16 and Watford's fixtures improve from this gameweek.

I have Fraser and was thinking of having both him and deulofeu as 4th / 5th mid during festive period.

Owned deulofeu the last 4 weeks.. There's been Nothing More frustrating.. So close to hauls but his and his team Mates lack of finishing quality led to nothing. And then he gets hooked off every 59 mins. Stay well away

I'm going for Sterling / Sane / Fandersen / Richiarlson & Cainrey as my 5th

Richiarlson is not definitie though, but as you're finding, there aren't many decent options in the mid-price mids: if Watford weren't so bloody frustrating I'd be all over Perrarya

I think we all can agree that Deulofeu has been a fantasy headache so far. But do fantasy managers, especially those who are Watford fans, see a case where good fixtures can cause a swing in his fortunes?

    A) Doherty

My other is Obiang, and if I have to rely on him then its been a crud gameweek.

If he starts McTominay and Matic in defense again this could be ugly... I sometimes feel like Mourinho has just given up and just wants them to concede, so as to prove a point (Should have let him buy more players in the summer)

I think it is not wise to spend -4 on a player that you then proceed to bench. Basically 4 points lost.

The Last 5 gameweeks have seen my turn myself into a dirty casual, between real life and Fifa, I have spent no time at all on fantasy, and my team is suffering from it. any help appreciated, medical preferably.

    Fabianski, Patricio,
Robertson, David Luiz, Bennett(Wolves), Duffy, Holebas
    Salah, Sterling, Lamela, Barkley, Holjberg
    Aguero, Arnie, Wilson

£0.3 in the bank and 1 free transfer
I am considering Aguero to Aubameyang, (I prefer him over Kane)
I also fancy Sane or Son in the midfield, and would happily trade Salah to Mane but probably not for a hit.
    thanks in advance!!

You have Sterling so can take Aguero out. I went Aguero to Kane for this week and next week will do Salah to Sterling, then WC week after. Kane better option than Auba for this week, and you also have to consider that, should Kane start really firing and you want him, it won't be easy to upgrade Auba to Kane.

Having said all that, it will cost you a hit to do Aguero to Kane so you'll want to keep him.

If you are not going Kane then definitely go Son and Sane is gold. Keeper looks fine with Hammers upcoming fixtures. Maybe need a premium defender in the mix.

Has Pep said something about Sane or why is everyone acting like he’s nailed?

    1. J T

Because he has started every match that Mendy has been injured, returned in everyone of those & I think he has been getting pulled off earlier than others during game.

Said he was incredible. I think they need him to create width down the left with Mendy out. I would even go as far as to say he is more nailed than Sterling, who Pep says will rotate with Mahrez

You guys realize the same comments were made about BSilva when everyone was raving about him earlier in the season?

Sane might be a good option, but he is NOT nailed. And Sterling is still their best player so far this season.

    Ryan
    Alonso TAA Digne Diop
    Salah Sane Hazard Martial
    Arnautovic Aguero

    Subs: Button Kenedy Bennett Kamara

    1 FT, 0.0 itb.

    Option A:
Alonso + Aguero out for Gomez + Kane (-4)

    Option B:
    Aguero out for Auba (FT)

    Option C:
Save FT and look at getting Auba Kane Sterling over the next 3 or 4 gw's

    Patricio. Begovic.
Robertson. Alonso. Duffy. Wan Bissaka. Bednarek.
    Salah. Hazard. Richarlison. Pereyra. Fraser.
    Aguero. Giroud.

0.1 in the bank. 1 FT.

    What to do...?

A). Change Pereyra with someone. If yes, then who...?

B). Save and then next week get Auba and Wilson or Auba and any other.

    C). Something different.

If i were you i would get Aguero, Giroud and pereyra out now for Auba, Anderson and Wilson otherwise you may end up with 9/10 playing this week as Giroud is not nailed, Aguero possibly injured, Robertson injured, Alonso subbed early in last game because he was woeful. Just my opinion

    Ryan
    Alonso • Robbo • Digne • Awb
    Sterling • Hazard • Sane • Siggy
    Aguero • Arnie

    (Button / Diangana / Doherty/ Kamara)

Aguero & Robbo ➡️ Kane & Diop (-4) worth it?

Gives me enough money to upgrade Diangana to a 6m mid in the coming weeks. Which will strengthen my bench as well.

    Cheers all!

Yes Robbo to TAA does give me enough funds but not sure if TAA will be nailed and Pool’s fixtures look tough.

Chelsea have good fixtures on the horizon not sure it’s the right time to sell Hazard. Can give him another game and then decide to keep or sell before City.

Especially if Aguero is out, Pep needs Sterling and it's not a good time to rest him.

You’d think Mahrez will get a game somewhere, he could just move Sterling to the left or use him as a false 9 though.

He’ll want him fresh for Chelsea

      He has options - Mahrez

Mahrez only started one of last 4, and Sane form, but no idea really.

Why would people think he would be subbed... I think he will chew a minty bubble gum on the bench for 75 mins.

Peps main men are Aguero and Sterling. There is no doubting that and imo I can't see Pep resting, benching both.

Sterling plays this week with Aguero out and the Mahrez plays Chelsea when Aguero is back.

Apparently? Says who? If Aguero is out there is more of a chance that Sterling starts than he doesn't

Just seems time for his rest but if aguero is out I can’t see him being rested. Chances are he gets a full rest if he doesn’t start so still not a bad captain choice

AWB, could go either way though really, suspect we’ll be needing our benches regardless.

All these hits 😮 Huge week for managers on wildcard! Let alone in theory they should have a far superior team they are also gaining places before any games have kicked off.

Is there anywhere to look at how many points hits have been taken?

I reckon I have a team that is close to most WCers using a few FTs so not that big a deal:

      Fabianski - Hamer
      Alonso - TAA - Digne - Doherty - AWB
      Sterling - Hazard - Felipe - Rich - Hojbjerg
      Kane(c) - Arnie - Wilson

I'll take a -4 to get Auba and someone in for Hazard and Wilson for GW16.

Team looks great, and whilst you definitely look close to those wildcard teams, how many don't? Not everyone will have planned as well as you have 🙂

I was going to say similar. I have more to fix than you but still happy enough for this week after a -4 and will likely play my WC before the weekend

        Fab
        Alonso, TAA, Doherty, Duffy
        Salah, Sané, Haz, Fraser
        Kane, Wilson
        (Foster) (Schindler, Diangana, Success)

Players I would look to shift are: Success, Diangana and Foster and then to free up funds probably Salah and Alonso (tbc)

So the yellow flags have caused a little doubt, but do you reckon I’m still set up right this week?

    Patricio (Foster)
    Alonso Robertson* Digne Balbuena* (Doherty)
    Salah Sané Martial (Kenedy Højbjerg)
    Kane (c) Arnautovic Jiménez

Made my two free transfers earlier than usual before the flags, which isn’t like me, but hey.

Anything worth a hit in here?

    Patricio
    Robertson, Alonso, Laporte, Wan-Bissaka
    Salah, Sane, Richarlison
    Kane, Arnautovic, Wilson

subs: Button --- Doherty, Murphy, Hojbjerg --- 0 FT, 0.9 ITB

Richarlison's stats are better, but Anderson's in better form. I went with Anderson because I've got Siggy and Richarlison's goal drought last year started around now.
