As we hurtle towards the Gameweek 15 deadline, we must not forget about the differential options on show.

With Spurs’ fixtures turning there are still some key assets owned by less than 5% of Fantasy managers.

And a slight insight into Pep Guardiola’s rotation policy has also thrown up an opportunity.

Riyad Mahrez

Price: £8.5m

Ownership: 2.8%

Now that we are moving into the congested period of Christmas fixtures it means that Guardiola will have to use all of the players available to him. That’s why Riyad Mahrez (£8.5m) looks set for a start against Watford on Tuesday night.

The Algerian has been used only as a substitute in the last two matches which means he should be fresh for the trip to Vicarage Road.

When he has started matches, Mahrez has been delivering points. In fact in his last three starts for Manchester City, he has two goals and one assist, for an average of 8.67 points per game.

The fact that he has not been a nailed on option in recent months has seen Mahrez’s ownership drop as low as 2.8%, turning him into a potentially powerful differential.

Christian Eriksen

Price: £9.2m

Ownership: 4.9%

Christian Eriksen (£9.2m) just about creeps into the Differentials article this week with his ownership at 4.9%. We suspect that after Gameweek 15 he will push over the 5% threshold.

That’s because we are expecting Tottenham to emerge as comfortable winners over managerless Southampton on Wednesday night.

With a bigger role in set pieces than usual this season, Eriksen has three assists in his last two matches since returning to the starting line-up. Over the last two Gameweeks, he has scored 16 points.

His impeccable delivery of late may have even pushed himself back above Kieran Trippier (£6.1m) in the set pieces pecking order.

The English right-back has been declared fit to face Southampton so it will be interesting to see how he shares dead-ball situations with Eriksen.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez

Price: £6.2m

Ownership: 1.7%

Three goals in his last four Premier League outings have put Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (£6.2m) back into the conversation for starting West Ham United players, and maybe on our Fantasy radars too.

In the last four Gameweeks, the Mexican has had more shots in the penalty box, more big chances the same shots on target compared to the popular Marko Arnautovic (£7.2m). That’s all despite playing just 199 minutes to the Austrian’s 339 in that time.

Chicharito has only started once in that time, but his recent form could allow him more pitch-time. If he does claim a place then given his more advanced position than Arnautovic and cheaper price, he could act as a decent alternative.

Given the run of matches the Hammers still have, with Cardiff (home), Crystal Palace (home), Fulham (away) and Watford (home), Chicharito is sure to get more returns in the coming weeks.

Hey lads. Taking Aguero + Barkley out for Aubameyang + (6.3 Midfield)

Who would be the best midfield in the 6.3 bracket to have? (Already have Fraser)
    A) Townsend
    B) Pedro
    C) Pereyra
    D) Walcott
    E) Armstrong

NEED HELP!!! Can not decipher between actual opinion and scaremongering from these posts......What do you think is the % chance of the following players actually playing:

    1.) Trippier

What’s a good midfield with Kane and Auba up front. Trying to see if I can squeeze Sane and Son into my current midfield with Sterling but that looks impossible.

One of my (far too) many WC drafts:

      Fabianski / Button
      Luiz / Kolasinac / Alexander Arnold / Balbuena / Wan B
Sterling / Sane / Ramsey / Felipe Andersen / Obiang
      Auba / Kane / Mitrovic

      1. danishdynamite

Ramsey's a punt, as is Kola. They can become Digne + Rich in GW19 if it doesn't work out

      2. Bat Man
        • 8 Years
        7 years, 8 months ago

I can get to something like that. Means no Son. I guess you’d take Felipe over Son if it means you can get Sane, no?

        1. danishdynamite
          • 15 Years
          7 years, 8 months ago

Yup. The alternative, which I haven't yet ruled out, is to get Laca + Son over Auba + Ramsey

Let's see how this GW goes first.

          1. Bat Man
            • 8 Years

Yeah. Based on current info I think Auba would be better bc he has explosive captaincy potential

            1. danishdynamite
              • 15 Years
              7 years, 8 months ago

Certainly in the last week, yes
But Laca's stats were also fantastic before he got injured, and now they have the fixtures to boot (plus he's probably on pens)

Anyway, I dunno, I'll see how the game against Utd goes before deciding

      3. Robson-Canoe

I'd downgrade Ramsey to someone like Brooks and upgrade defense a bit

        1. danishdynamite
          • 15 Years
          7 years, 8 months ago

I might from 19, but if - IF - ramsey plays and does well tonight I reckon he's in for a few games ...... and their three games in 16, 17 and 18 are golddust.

There are also few players I really wanna splash the cash on defence at atime when there are so many outstanding attacking options.

          All change come GW22/23

going differential, Kane is too boring and could be rested when spurs are leading, son on the other hand is explosive and hasn't been playing 90 mins lately.

Kane needs a rest before Barca, he either gets it today or against Leicester or gets hooked off early in both games. Pretty simple to follow.

The easy low risk one is Martial to Fraser, but I’m guessing you don’t have any City Mids (unless you have Sané already) so I’d be getting one of those 3 in and just ride the rotation train for a few weeks... those guys can still match most even with reduced minutes..

Why I'm not worried about Auba.
Although.Aubameyang/Lacazette coin toss is worrying to some, I'm not that worried.
-He is lethal. The guy can be given only 20 mins and that would be enough to score a brace. Clinical.
-Emery's willingness to make early changes allows time for his subs to make an impact. Auba benched might not be too bad a prospect
-79 mins per attacking contribtuion (G/A) is highlights his form.

    Just my two cents.
