West Ham United’s nine goals in their last three matches have set them up as the latest Fantasy Premier League flavour of the month.

However, the recent injury to Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) has changed the thought process for capitalising on the Hammers’ form and fixtures.

Felipe Anderson (£7.3m) seems to have been the go-to replacement but his midfield position means that he is not a direct alternative to Arnautovic.

So we’ve analysed the options at West Ham to see which offers the best potential in the coming weeks and which are the most affordable.

I received a parking ticket for going over the 2 hour time limit by 5 seconds. Can I appeal this? Is there a 10 min grace period by law?

that seems ludicrous, that suggests he's been waiting there way before your 2 hour limit ran out waiting to write you up a ticket

If it's a private car park, like parking eye for example, just ignore it, it's a one in a million chance they would take you to court over it.
You'll get lots of threatening letters from them, but really they can't do anything without court action.

it is a private car park. I've heard this but I don't know if I have the bottle to hold out

I've had a couple from private car parks, constant letters for about 18 months saying they would take me to court but they never do, it's really not worth it to them, court costs of thousands of pounds to get a £70 parking ticket, the letters will trigger 95% of people to pay up.

I would say if you get a court summons, then pay, otherwise just use their letters as hamster bedding.

With anyone? Just say you've got a gammy leg and struggled to get round the shop... There's no way they can take you to court over it. Unless, you say nothing and don't pay.

So dust an email up and send it. Balls in their court after that, if they come back saying bad things find me on here.

If it is a private car park it is a fee/invoice and not a fine.

The ticket is issued to the driver, not the car owner, so they need to prove who was drinking it.

Google this issue and read the advise, ask for photos that identify the driver, full details etc but do not admit it was you and do not let them infer from anything you say it is you.

If they can’t identify the driver their position is very weak.

You should ask them to tell you what the ‘ grace period’ is - normally you have 5 minutes or more.

Only the land owner can issue this fee, ask them to prove they are the land owner.

I am fighting a similar one and it is largely a scam and can be battled against 🙂

seriously considering upgrading my gk from ryan (have patricio as well) to lloris with FT.
neither Ryan or Patricio getting more than 2 or 3 points now. Spurs have fantatstic fixtured & Lloris is the cheapest (5.4) & nailed in their defense. Also Ryan will soon depart for Asia cup.
Anyone in the same boat as me?

Yep, looking to ditch Patricio this week. I know Lloris has great short term fixtures, but can you honestly see Spurs keeping more clean sheets than City or Liverpool this season? I'd pay the extra 0.4 to get Alisson or Ederson.

Looking at doing the same, good way into Spurs defence. I see the point about Ederson/Alisson but they take up a valuable spot if you want 3 outfield from City or Pool.

My team for this weekend is:

    Ederson (Hamer)
Kolasinac, Doherty, Wan Bissaka (TAA, Digne)
    Richarlison, Sterling, Hazard, Fraser (Masuaku)
    Lacazette, Jiminez, Kane

Do Richarlison to Snodgrass for free? I feel my defense is a bit cack too.

Definitely keep Richarlison over Snodgrass. Look longer term, Everton's fixtures are very good after next two and Snodgrass won't be in the first XI all season.

Tough one. Hazard has the fixtures but Strerling more explosive. Haz likely to start more games tho. If I had hazard I would keep him. In fact am thinking of getting him back in. I have Sane and think he'll match Sterling for points over xmas period.

    Lossl / button
    Robbo / taa / Doherty / schindler / wan b
Sterling / sane / Felipe Anderson / snodgrass / fraser
    Kane / auba / jimenez

On wc, would appreciate a hand on how to get Lossl to fabianski. Got 0.7 of rises in fraser so he's not as obvious as he might be otherwise.

    Thank you!

Downgrade snodgrass instead then? What I like about snodgrass is it frees me to move Felipe to richarlison if a disparity in form arises without having to ditch those fixtures.
And yes, I agree, but thought 0.3 was more ambiguous.

I'm hearing rumblings of an injury, is that true? Got taa in pretty cheap (selling price: 5.2) so a little reluctant. Suppose I hadn't really thought about it because he seems the best defender at the 5m mark. I wish digne was two fixtures later though, that would be a sweet trade. Definitely one to think on, cheers.

    Ryan / Hamer

    Alonso / Robertson / TAA / AWB / Bennett

Sadly I'm 0.5m too short to do a straight swap of Fraser - Anderson, Could do Wilson - Chicarito though. Just a bit concerned about Brighton's fixtures taking a dive from this week onwards, was planning on going Ryan - Fabianski this week before West Hams attackers started putting in returns

A lot of them have very good histories.

The original idea of that thread was to study what a very good manager does, and why. In other words to learn how to be a better manager, something that FFS has very little about. Mostly here it is all bandwagons and what do "we" think and what player to get this week and "rate my team which is virtually the same as everyone else's".

To brand the attempt to learn how to play the game better as "pathetic" is descriptive of the low that the FFS community in general has sunk to nowadays, more's the pity.

          1. GENERATION X
            • 12 Years
            7 years, 7 months ago

I agree to a large extent. People seem to think that everyone has the same ethics and motives while playing this game when in fact there are a variety of reasons.

Personally I'm more of an eye test man with a minor look at stats (not very in-depth). My general thought is there are a pool of 'good' FPL options and people set their stall out from this pool. What happens then relies on a certain amount of luck, but like good poker players the top guys tip the odds very slightly in their favour by seemingly getting the marginal decisions right more often.

I really can't believe the support for selling Salah. He's always had the underlying stats but this season his finishing has seemed abit off and Liverpool haven't quite been gelling. But now he finally looks like he's back to his best and Liverpool are coming together better and people are deciding to sell? Crazy to me.

I guess you're right that he only has 10,000 transfers out this GW. Still people are clearly considering it (HT here: https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2018/12/09/fpl-question-time-consult-our-panel-ahead-of-gameweek-17/?hc_page=1&hc_sort_by=comment_date#hc_comment_19437351) and Andy mentioned that he was thinking about it on his stream.

People want City midfielders. City have better fixtures upcoming than Liverpool do. Whether they are right or not remains to be seen. Personally I'm keeping Salah.

There is a big difference between the FFS community and the general FPL manager here. A lot of less "in the know" managers will tend to buy the player that just scored a lot of points or is high on the season points list. That is always going on. People here look at fixtures and sometimes develop a different FOMO to others. I think that's the case here. So whilst the overall trend may be to get Salah in after his haul, the FFS trend is to be talking about doubling Sterling and Sané, something that's very hard to do if you have 13m locked up in Salah and perhaps want Kane as well.

I don't think I'd break my squad up to get Salah in ahead of some tougher fixtures but I'm not rushing to get rid of him at a time when he looks like he may be entering a purple patch either. Last time he scored a hat-trick he went on to score in 7 consecutive games (11 goals in 7 games). I think he is something of a confidence player, especially with his finishing, and therefore won't be selling before the Newcastle game in GW19 at the earliest. And maybe not at all, we'll see.

I agree with all of that, but there are better ways to get Sane/Sterling without selling Salah. I have Salah, Sterling, Sane and Kane in my team. I think for alot of people Alonso is using alot of funds but imo it was time to get rid of him a couple weeks ago.

I did this, bennett on four YC really proofed decisive as I want a bench for Xmas and a suspension is a threat to that. Doh has been amazing, fun to own as well.

Think I need a Pool defender, so Duffy To VVD? I will probably play 433 most weeks but will look to replace Deulofeu over coming weeks.

I would go for Robbo. Babs magnet and high assist potential. Your defence defense looks good enough for the occasional rotation. .

Does my team though. Can see rests for Robbo a lot of Xmas.

What's the general consensus with regards to TAA being fit for the weekend?

Will be very annoyed if he doesn't play, that'll be 3 PL games in a row that he hasn't started. Would look to get a more nailed alternative if it continues on the weekend

I wouldn’t be surprised if he played. Didn’t Milner get injured as well?

Wait for the pressers I guess, it’s probably 50/50 call imo

Doubtful he plays the full 90. I am guessing he will be named on yhe bench and will only appear if an injury like his Gomez introduction last week

With Fabinho the only option if Milner is injured, I'd say TAA has a good chance of starting IF he isn't injured?

Is lovren an option now. Heard matip had to have a shoulder scan last night such was the worry. He must be in pain

Good to hold the FT? Or should I consider getting Siggy out? £1.4m ITB. Looking long term I would probably like to do Wilson -> Auba eventually.
